Once upon a Time ago, this was an amazing place to go however, now it's pretty much nonexistent. The first time I went there it took me quite some time to find it and I found it just because there was someone standing in a dark out clove now, the door is wide open. What used to be a plush cozy comfy lounge has been replaced with what feels like a fast food restaurant booth absolutely no atmosphere anymore drinks piss poor most nice. It's not even open and if it is, don't even bother walking up the door, the house music there was a snow vibe not a speakeasy at all whoever bought it changed it up pretty much destroyed it I don't know what happened here, but so very typical of when someone takes over someplace and has their own ideas and basically runs it into the ground. A magical land where cocktails reign supreme and Vincent is the all-powerful sorcerer behind the bar. There's no menu here... and there doesn't need to be. You simply tell Vincent what you're craving, and he conjures it with a flick of the wrist, a dash of bitters, and probably some ancient incantation whispered under his breath. I had three... maybe four drinks (time works differently in magical places), and each one was flawless. Complex yet balanced, bold yet smooth... true potions of happiness. My wife and I met Vincent while he was giving our food tour guide of downtown West Palm. Can't say enough good things! We used Vincent for a cocktail making class for my sister in laws birthday and it was AMAZING. Vincent provides literally everything, top shelf liquors, flavors and garnishes. We made 4 cocktails based on what the group liked to drink, and then the 5th one was a competition between all the group members. SO fun. Everyone LOVED it. Ended up at this place when a friend of mine informed me he was in town and wanted to get drinks at the last minute. He sent this place to me so we decided to check it out. He arrived before me and sent a text saying "ummm this place is ... different". Well I decided to continue there once I arrived parking sucked but hey that's downtown clematis no matter what especially on a Friday night. There were no signs to let you know you were in the right place but the host outside directed me up the stairs. Once I arrived upstairs I was so impressed! The lighting, decor and all around atmosphere was so chill and relaxing. The bartenders were super nice and attentive. They didn't just make your normal run of the mill drink. They asked what types of alcohols you like and if you like sweet or stronger drinks. I don't remember the drinks I ordered but I did get a pic of the beautiful delicious rum punch! Finally was able to check this spot out for cocktails. I could not find it at first, as I thought the entrance was separate but it's inside American Craft Aleworks upstairs. Interesting setup with these two places. We sat at the bar which is quite entertaining in itself, watching the bartenders put together the concoctions. The place seems pretty organized as there is someone taking the glasses and cleaning them and refreshing mixers etc. so they are on hand for the two bartenders, one of which appears to be the proprietor. I will definitely return to try some other drinks. I had two controls with gin, each one different. My friend had a Jack Daniels mixer, that was way to strong for me! We enjoyed sitting at the bar and observing the drink preparations and taking in the mix of the crowd. There is no menu, the bartenders are the menu! That's what I was told, it's true! I came here on my birthday which was on a Thursday and on the Saturday of the same week because I enjoyed it so much. On Thursday I had Vincent and Alex who were absolutely amazing, I had just moved down to west palm from central Florida and they definitely helped me feel very comfortable, they mentioned good places to eat and even a French bakery! It's current location has the feeling of an old time speakeasy from the dim lighting and the kinda "hidden away" location. However, when you first walk in you are greeted by a range of alternative and EDM type music which really sets the mood. He runs a very unconventional bar, where there is no menu and you just tell them what you normally like to drink and then he creates an amazing concoction. I had an assortment of different drinks both times I went and every time I was craving more. The bartenders here really put in the effort to impress from utilizing fresh ingredients and building cocktails that look and taste great! Normally I don't drink nor like an old fashioned but Vincent crafted me one that was absolutely amazing so much so that I don't think I can have an old fashioned or many other drinks from other places. no stars I was here in June and this was my favorite haunts . apparently new owners , all the cool furniture and vibe is GONE , booths line the wall like a dark Dennys and overly loud house music and NO CRAFT cocktails , I asked the girl for the gin drink that I had before which was delicious with ign and lavender and some orange and she said you want a gin and ginger beer or igin and tonic and I said no, something like a gin cocktail she we don't do this anymore and I only know how to make simple drinks, we have new owners so we don't do any cocktails. I originally wanted to show my friend a speakeasy and take him to one of my favorite little places and the front door was wide open and there was a guy out there collecting covers, they had a $10 cover but with a $10 cover you get a free drink which is good because I was good to get at least a buck because no one will stay otherwise . With the cover, my friend got a drink and I passed, and we left never to go back. the place is absolutely dead, not a speakeasy anymore and just so disappointing nothing except for the loud house music and the guys smoking the hookah at the DJ bar . I don't understand why someone would buy a business to change everything up and absolutely destroy it as a business person myself I see this going under really quickly it's sucked. read more
