Church on a Sunday

Eclectic eats, its fun, casually divey decor, a spacious backyard with a craft cocktail back bar, comfy outdoor seating, and a place for live music and dancing make this a very chill hipster homesteader hang for the Northwood nouveau. My Banh mi burger was really good, and the rest of the menu, while limited to the smaller kitchen, also had stuff that I'd like to try. Service is excellent. The bartenders are top drawer, and just as eclectic as their often ersatz cocktails. When you arrive, you'll often see the small front bar empty. Drift through the door to the back and you'll hit Pétanque Central. Definitely a reason to drop into Northwood's growing restaurant Renaissance.

Love the outdoor ambiance here!!

I live in Old Historic Northwood so I'm partial to the businesses here, but Pentanque stands out as one of my favorites. The staff are always friendly, as well as helpful with cocktail or food suggestions. I always sit outside, in the back, because the atmosphere is casual and inviting. I've been here on nights they have trivia, as well as when they have small jazz combos. It's always a fun time! The menu isn't complicated, burgers, salads, charcuterie, kebabs...but it is ALL delicious. Of course I'll be going back, often. If you don't speak French, don't worry, they'll teach you, one word at a time.

I learned that the name comes down a game similar to bowling / shuffle board. I'd say this is one of he coolest little places I've been to in downtown WPB. It has a huge back yard with a ton of fans. The vegetable tray was amazing and the absinthe drink is really cool!

Great get away place if you want to unplug from Downtown WPB .. Northwood .. " Worth checking out" ... live music every night .. food is solid ... great burgers ... signature fries ... excellent service ...

Small patio space, good service . This place has a lot of potential if they update the spot to 2019.

From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, and they treated us like regulars and made us feel genuinely welcomed. They even gave us a beautiful table in the courtyard, which set the tone for a great night. The food was excellent across the board. The chicken was a standout--and the desserts were just as impressive. Everything felt well-executed and thoughtfully presented. I'll admit, we were a bit hesitant to go given some of the negative reviews, but I'm really glad we decided to give it a shot. It completely exceeded expectations. We'll definitely be adding Le Bilboquet to our regular Saturday night date night rotation.

The ambience takes me back to France and the Mediterranean. Everyone is always dressed nicely and its not too loud inside. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and were seated immediately. The service was quick and easy. All of the staff are so kind. The Cajun Chicken is just so incredible. I love it and have to have it every time. We also got the vegetarian crepe. It had a nice smokey flavor to it and the crepe is made with chickpea flour. For starters we got the bread basket, artichoke, and the tomato salad. All so delicious in their own way! Overall, love this spot. Don't let the bad reviews fool you!

We sat indoors and arrived a bit early, so it wasn't too busy at first, but the room filled in nicely as the evening went on. Beautiful space, and our server Juan was terrific -- personable, knowledgeable, attentive... clearly a seasoned pro who knows the menu inside and out. Started with a Kronenbourg 1664 from France to set the tone. My Pork Chop, served with an absolutely incredible morel mushroom sauce, was a standout -- a real "thing of beauty." Highly recommended. My guest enjoyed the Beef Carpaccio and Moules Marinière with frites -- both excellent choices. Was hoping the Crème Brûlée would complete the Parisian transformation, but while good, it didn't quite reach the level of the best versions in France. Valet parking is very close and complimentary (be sure to get your ticket validated), though navigating the one-way streets to get there can be a bit tricky. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I ordered the lobster ravioli (which I love, so I had high hopes... how do you mess that up?) and it just was not good. I only finished it because I was hungry. It was bland, and the flavor it did have wasn't enjoyable. The pasta itself was well made, but everything else fell flat. My friend was also underwhelmed (to say the least) by her lobster salad. They didn't have the wine we originally wanted, and the one recommended to us was honestly terrible... I should've sent it back. Overall, about $70 down the drain. Definitely not worth it for me, and I will not be going back.

We ordered the scones and charcuterie to start. The scones were PHENOMENAL!!!! The butter it came with was shaped into ice cream. The taste was so buttery, fluffy and warm as if it was straight out of the oven. There was a sweetness to it. Gosh they were so delicious! Beware of the charcuterie though, as it did NOT come with cheese. I actually sent it back because the whole point of why I ordered it is because I am a cheese connoisseur. The waiter switched the charcuterie meat platter and brought over an actual cheese platter with Brie, other cheeses, nuts and grapes. For my main course, I ordered the steak and eggs which tasted amazing. They came with potatoes and tomatoes. I ordered my steak medium and eggs overboard. I loved how there was grilled onions that came atop the steak. For dessert, we ordered the Tarte aux Fraises which consisted of strawberries, vanilla cream and basil ice cream. Overall magnificent experience!! Will definitely be back.

We started with a Kir Royale, which was perfectly balanced, and appreciated the solid wine selection. For appetizers, we had the warm goat cheese salad, simply delicious. A quick note: the Wagyu burger comes with three sides, and the side portions are enormous, definitely enough to share. I personally prefer my burger well done, which can sometimes come across as overcooked, so that's something to keep in mind depending on your preference. For entrées, we also tried the filet mignon au poivre and the scallops with asparagus (the special of the day), both of which were well prepared and enjoyable. Overall, it's a place worth experiencing and one I would recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who graciously and happily adjusted our reservation so we could sit outdoors. The evening could not have been more perfect--ideal temperature, beautiful ambiance, and that effortless European charm The Parisian does so well. Our server, Barbie, was exceptional. Open, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, she guided us through the menu and wine selections with ease and confidence. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made the entire experience feel celebratory without ever being intrusive. We started with the mussels, served with outstanding crusty bread. The white wine shallot sauce was, without question, the best I've ever had--rich, balanced, and absolutely crave-worthy. For entrées, we chose the filet (perfectly cooked and full of flavor) and the scallops, which were a special that evening. The scallops were cooked to absolute perfection, paired with pasta and a sauce that was beautifully balanced--elegant, refined, and deeply satisfying. And of course, the French fries deserve their own moment: for fine dining, these fries are legendary and truly a must-order. Dessert was the crème brûlée, and once again--pure perfection. Silky custard, perfectly caramelized top, and the ideal finish to a flawless meal. The Parisian is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why classic, well-executed cuisine never goes out of style.
