Branzino

Well well, what a beautiful evening with live jazz music to enjoy your dinner! Upon arrival, valet located directly infront of the restaurant for your convenience. Entering the cafe with its lovely decor to the beautiful seating arrangements . Enjoyed a glass of French red wine to fit the cuisine and to start with some mini crab cakes that were well seasoned and a shrimp cocktail (huge Shrimps) but could have had better dipping sauce. Also enjoyed a watermelon and feta salad which was perfectly refreshing. Our main courses were branzino perfect portion and flavors and veal schnitzel. To finish off the night, tried the Cafe Soufflé- Grand Marnier style warm and airy delight. Love the ambience and the service was impeccable and attentive by all.

Such a great experience that I even dined there two nights in a row! Beautiful, upbeat atmosphere with a popular bar area and lively piano music. The staff is exceptional. The artichoke was perfect and the salmon entree was large and delicious (I had it both nights). A press salad was ok. The flaming dessert (crepes I think) was lots of fun. Loved the cocktails too. I look forward to returning.

It's hard to write a review for a place that you held in such high esteem for so long, only to come back and it has not only sold to new owners, but lost the warm feeling it once welcomed you with. This is not the same place we have gone to for so many years. The new owners have opened the place up yet kept the feel, however by removing the wall you can no longer hear the piano player that has been there since forever. He is a wonderful man, but it is difficult to watch how he is drowned out by the conversations of so many people. My food was food, not memorable like the food that was the reason we returned time and time again for. My wife's NY Strip was inedible, as you could not cut it with a steak knife it was so tough. Our server was armed with an electronic device to punch our order in, and would not allow us to place an appetizer order without placing our food order. Ambience well, as I said, loud. Thought the maitre d' remembered us from the past, it was clear he was not employed by the same caring on site owners of the past. It is very difficult transitioning an iconic business, especially one in PB. If you have been a customer of the past, I find it difficult to believe you are still going here.

This place is special; for special occasions or if you're just in the mood to have some serious fine cuisine. Cafe L'Europe had been on my radar for years. Whenever I decided to do a cruise to the Island, I would pass this place and think, "I really would like to dine here one day, just spoil myself to oblivion." When I finally paid a visit on Valentine's Day with my wife for a reservation, we were both not disappointed. The meal was one of the best I have had in South Florida in the 20-plus years I've lived here -- especially in fine dining. Cafe L'Europe has served diners in the Palm Beach area for well over 40 years, specializing in exquisite cuisine that balances American continental and Mediterranean styles. When you walk through the front doors, the atmosphere is a cross between boisterous and elegant. Cafe L'Europe would never be mistaken for an intimate, quiet dining cafe. The atmosphere is certainly lively but elegant between the chandeliers and the piano player, which makes for a jubilant dining experience, without it being wild or raucous. While they do have complimentary valet parking, we managed to find a space on the block right after the location across the adjacent street. The front greeter was very friendly and we were quickly seated at a nice table next to one of the front windows facing South Country Road in downtown Palm Beach. The server was incredibly attentive and ensured we had everything we needed from the moment we sat down and reviewed the regular and Valentine's Day special menu. My wife and I enjoyed glasses of rose and gin gimlets respectively throughout that evening, never straying from that until dessert, of course. The gin gimlets I had using Plymouth Gin that is my normal go-to for that type of liquor -- very dependable. The rose was very good from what my wife let me taste. Being my wife is celiac, I enjoyed the bread to myself. The bread was incredibly warm and tasty, especially when combined with the servings of butter and olive oil mix they had brought. For dinner, I enjoyed the roasted Long Island Duck, which was a symphony of magic, served with blueberry sauce and sides of potato gratin and carrot puree. I was beyond satisfied with what I ordered, but my wife's roasted Maine Lobster Risotto was an entree worth dying to order. I couldn't believe how good the risotto was served with the Lobster Bisque Sauce and caviar. I have had lobster risotto before, but this was another level of supreme greatness -- so rich and savory... and satisfying! For dessert, we enjoyed espresso martinis while my wife had the gluten-free chocolate souffle, while I had the chocolate peanut butter crunch cake. And again, while mine was great, my wife ordered something that was even more magical and glorious, glorious and magical. A symphony of sweet satisfaction for which there can be no other. The dinner was incredible. A good thing, considering I spent a bit between drinks and food. If you just ordered food, it wouldn't be too bad if you are being price-conscious. But make no mistake, this is fine dining and you have to pay for amazing fine dining. But Cafe L'Europe is worth every penny. If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want to have an amazing meal, you won't be disappointed. You will be joyous and full of joy.

Outstanding service from the moment you walk into the front door and are greeted by the maitre'd. it was nothing short of sensational service til the end. The food was marvelous. We started with two orders of superior caviar, followed by soup and main courses. We had the duck, salmon and lobster. Three delicious plates. For dessert, we had vanilla and a chocolate soufflé. Both were hot, crunchy on the corners and mouth watering. Absolutely fabulous!

We popped in here thinking it was a cafe (think casual coffee and pastry place). But it's a sit down French restaurant and bar. Regardless the host welcomed us and sat us near the bar. We were really only looking for a dessert and coffee after our dinner elsewhere. My spouse and I started off with a couple of cocktails. I got the Palm Beach mule, which was very refreshing. We then got the strawberry pavlova--it was heavenly! It's a merengue topped with ice cream and strawberries drizzled with a raspberry syrup. So good!

In order of best/must try: Drink: Bloody Mary: homemade tomato juice and the hint of horseradish was perfection. Food: 1) crab Benedict- crab stuffed cakes with perfectly cooked eggs. The steak was super tender and eggs, again, cooked perfectly. 3) BLTA salad was super refreshing 4) Chicken + waffle -- it was okay. But take the chicken and add it to the salad-- and that was the perfect combo. Dessert: The Mud Pie was the perfect way to end the meal-- though thoroughly stuffed-- it was a top 5 of mud pies! Just rushed, few word exchanges with the server. Little slower pace, and little engagement with the family and instant five stars.

I picked Batch while walking by because it had the cutest vibe but we weren't expecting much. We were greeted by Rachel, the manager, at the host stand. She didn't just lead us to our table, she walked with us. She asked us if we were from the area and what brought us in. It was all small talk but felt genuine. She waited until we were seated to hand us or menus and it didn't feel rushed. Gabby, our server, showed confidence and love for the place when she introduced herself. They make everything from scratch here and Gabby sold us on the eggrolls and mac and cheese to start. However, before those could arrive, Rachel came by with an order of biscuits for us. These were absolutely to die for and the gesture was very kind. The eggrolls, bbq sauce, and ranch were the highlight of our food adventure here. You could tell this was all freshly made. We both ordered burgers and those were very good, hearty, and not greasy. Their house sauce B1 added a perfect element of smokiness to the burger. Gabby's service ensured we always had refills, never had to ask for anything, and the table was always clean. Rachel stopped by and checked on us and also gave us cute glasses to take home with us and coupons to come back for happy hour for some "off menu snacking". So if you're asking if Batch does things differently, they absolutely do. We can't wait to bring our friends next time. Ask for Rachel and Gabby and don't sleep on the eggrolls!

The wait was pretty long but the bar was first come first serve so we hoped to snag a spot there instead. The restaurant itself is tight. It's long but thin and the waiting area is like nonexistent so you're basically all huddling around people's tables. Luckily we were able to get drinks while we waited and the drinks were delicious. I ordered "The Crush" which had green grapes in it. It was so refreshing and delicious!! It's been a couple of weeks since we went and I'm still thinking about how good that drink was. I forgot what my bf got to drink but he enjoyed it as well. Finally some seats opened up at the bar and we were able to sit there and I'm so glad we did. Our bartender, I believe his name was Sam, was on point. Just exceptional service from him. He was great at his job and we also really enjoyed our conversation with him. To eat we ordered the deviled eggs, the tuna tartare and the Emerald Kale Salad with Rotisserie Chicken. The salad was just so incredible we ordered one to go as well. The food is absolutely worth coming back here for, the tuna tartare was also fantastic. The deviled eggs were okay, but I'm not a good judge for them as I'm not a huge deviled eggs person. Next time we're in the area I need to come back here. So good!!!

My favorite items were the chicken meatballs (perfect texture, with the right amount of spicy mustard) and the prime rib sandwich (the bread was soft, steak was juicy and tender, horseradish was creamy). ALL of our dishes, however, were soooo good, and I'd order any of them a second time! Small seating area inside (just a few tables and bar seats), and they don't accept reservations, so expect to wait a little bit. The inside is dark, with warm lighting and big leather booths; you don't feel like you're in south Florida anymore, it's a northern cozy vibe. Service was nice, but didn't check in often enough (often times having to flag someone down for utensils, plates, etc). I would definitely return here for dinner!!

I talk about the "curb-to-table" experience frequently. In my former role as a Delta Air Line Captain, I recognized the curb-to-plane challenges our customers encountered. Chef Conley has created a friendly and welcoming experience from curb-to-table. It starts with the complimentary valet. Finally. Finally. I learned about our regular valet: MANNY! Manny, thank you for the kindness and safe service you have given us. You are usually the first person who takes care of the Buccan Family. You create the smile before we walk in the doors of Buccan or Imoto. Thank you. Solang' (my spelling is probably wrong and I apologize): You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for your kind words to Laura as we left. Kindness makes a difference. While kindness is free, sincerity is priceless. Wow, I haven't even chatted about the food. We tried something new this time. After our small plates, we tried the pork chop. The mild onion and sweet rhubarb---simply stunning. Even shared, we boxed some for home. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed. We want this local treasure and his team to remain anchored here. Clay and his team are own foodie treasure in our back yard. But wait, there's more: Honored to watch Chef Clay modestly expand the Miami environs. He will be opening his Buccan-Imoto-Buccan Sandwich Shop experience in Coral Gables sometime in June/July. OMG, we cannot wait for this to open. Though retired from the airlines (I miss my MIA overnights), we will make the trip to celebrate these new venues. However, we will do it very quietly. We do not wish to be labeled as stalkers. Probably one of my longest reviews. I love seeing hard working people succeed. What this team does for the community is simply breathtaking. Our waiter was also excellent, attentive and efficient, he also made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout our meal. That said, there were a few downsides. Upon arrival, valet service was disappointing. Several employees were standing around talking while only one person was actively working, which caused unnecessary delays. Both the car in front of us and our own were left waiting longer than expected. Food-wise, while everything was good, my meal arrived warm rather than hot, which took away from the experience a bit. Also, our food did not arrive at the same time. For a restaurant at this level, I expected better attention to that detail. Dessert was also a bit underwhelming visually as I was expecting something more polished and presentable to match the overall aesthetic of the restaurant. Overall, RH delivers on atmosphere and service at the table, but tightening up the valet experience and food presentation/temperature would really elevate it to the next level.

This exclusive location has its own stand alone beauty from its parent the breakers. You cannot go wrong with this location for any special dinner you have planned. The service starts disappointing from the moment you check in. The young women at the front desk are elegantly, dressed in the same color scheme, however, they are extremely standoffish and unpleasant. This is a classic problem in southern Florida. Usually, this is standard service in Miami, but the tendency is not for this kind of service in the West Palm Beach area, specially on Palm Beach Island. We were seated, and our waitress was very pleasant in explaining the menu and offering to get us drinks. We ordered a series of appetizers and several steaks with sides to split amongst four people. We had already investigated the wine list and knew the two wines that we were going to order. Neither of them cheap options, but at least they were on the menu. An extraordinary Pinot Noir and an American Granache blend. As the appetizers came out, we doubled up on one of them and asked for another order. They said that they would bring it right away. This in fact did not happen as the appetizer arrived at the same time as the main course meats. The problem here was that as we went through the appetizer, our meat on the table already pre-cut was getting cold. In addition to this, the steak sauces that were ordered and the vegetables that were also ordered to accompany the meats, did not come at the same time. As a matter of fact, the side vegetable never came. We were in a little bit of a hurry at the end of the meal because we had a train to catch. They were very efficient and offering us a assortment of desserts to make up for the lack of bringing the vegetables. The issue here is, if you are on a protein, vegetable diet, compensating you with a plate full of sweets is not appropriate. If you're like me, I came to this restaurant to eat meat, not to be filled up at the end of the meal with ice cream and cake cakes. I understand that this is a courtesy to show concern on the part of the restaurant management , however, it's disappointing. All of this being said, we must say that the quality of the meat was extraordinary. It's a shame it got cold, and the desired side dishes did not work out. In summary, I would still recommend this restaurant. There are small details that you have to be aware of so you can be on top of the service staff to make sure it doesn't happen to you. Be clear to them at the beginning that you don't want your meal to come out in stages. Bring us our appetizers all at the same time. If you cannot bring them out at the same time, do not bring them with the main courses. Make sure you are clear with them about what you want as your main courses. Take the plunge, try it. On your terms.
