We had an incredible dinner at Buccan tonight. The service was impeccable, and even though the restaurant was busy, it felt like we had our own private area. The meal lived up to all the hype. We loved the duck and eggplant appetizers. For our main courses, we had the Sweet Corn Agnolotti pasta and the Hand Rolled Busiate pasta with chanterelles. Both dishes were delicious!! We paired everything with a bottle of Sancerre. For dessert, you can't skip the Banana Fosters Butter Cake. We paired dessert with the 20 year tawny Port. For years we have been trying to get a reservation at this fine dinning restaurant, and finally my wife made sure we got a table tonight with some friends. Our server Adina was beyond attentive and Marco the host stopped by to check on us. My friend had black pants and Adina brought him a black napkin just for him! The open kitchen was spotless and so well organized from what we could see. We orderded for the table Tuna Crisp Was excellent,, Squash Blossom Tempura Amazing flavor stuffed with Riccota so good, Hot Dog Panini was so delicious, hotdog sliced in have smothered in chesse and saurkeraut my favorite, Italian Burrata, Soft Shell Crab Slider had lots of flavor and were a nice addition to the mix. Just a little salty, might have been from the sea! Eggplant Caponata Rustica to many flavors for me in this dish, Sweet corn Agnolotti was so sweet and so deliciousI could have had two bowls of it., American Red Snapper, cooked to perfection best with the sauce as it was plane without it.and the Grilled Wagyu Short Rib also cooked just right and under it was a wonderful bed of asian egglant was so good! Buccan absolutely lived up to the hype. While in Palm Beach for a work meeting, my wife and I made it a point to dine at Buccan after seeing it consistently recommended on Yelp and by locals. After one meal here, it was easy to understand why it's considered one of the most sought-after restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and vibrant without feeling overly loud, and the service was polished, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. The menu encourages sharing, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with the lobster aquachile, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The lobster was tender, and the bright citrus flavors paired perfectly with the avocado and vegetables. It was a refreshing and memorable way to begin the meal. Next came the beef empanada and pork taco. I've visited every Chef Conley venue, including Stoke Barn. As of this writing,we are not considered stalkers, just normal people who love exceptional dining and service. We tried something new this time. After our small plates, we tried the pork chop. The mild onion and sweet rhubarb---simply stunning. Even shared, we boxed some for home. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed. We want this local treasure and his team to remain anchored here. Clay and his team are own foodie treasure in our back yard. But wait, there's more: Honored to watch Chef Clay modestly expand the Miami environs. He will be opening his Buccan-Imoto-Buccan Sandwich Shop experience in Coral Gables sometime in June/July. OMG, we cannot wait for this to open. Though retired from the airlines (I miss my MIA overnights), we will make the trip to celebrate these new venues. However, we will do it very quietly. What an experience!! Matyas was an absolute delight, his hospitality was above and beyond. Super professional and really knew his stuff! Not only did we love the food but we also got to learn the history behind Buccan which was fascinating to hear about. I got the steak tartare to start and it was impeccable!! The fried yolk on the top was so different than what you would usually see at most places. I got the swordfish for my entree and it's by far the best swordfish I have ever tried. Their short rib empanada at first bite tasted like every other empanada but once you really dig into it, it was very good! Came to Buccan on Saturday night for a small birthday dinner with my best friends, and it absolutely delivered. It had all the Palm Beach vibes and the best cuisine in the area. The service was wonderful, and everything was coursed out perfectly. We started with the tuna crisp and the wedgeless wedge salad. The tuna was such a light, flavorful bite that still packed a punch. The wedgeless wedge featured perfectly seasoned heirloom tomatoes with an herby dressing, finished beautifully with blue cheese and crispy bacon. For our second course, we split half orders of two pastas. I'll always favor their classic sweet corn agnolotti -- creamy, pillowy, and perfectly balanced, with bacon adding just the right amount of crunch. My girlfriends were huge fans of the truffle pasta as well. For dinner, I absolutely loved the New York strip with its rich mushroom reduction, and one of the girls couldn't stop raving about the swordfish dish. We rarely go to Palm Beach, itself, but we were meeting friends for dinner. We try to get together once a month or so and they had said they didn't want to go to downtown West Palm this time. This was a hard place to get reservations for. When I booked, all they had available was 5:15 or 9:30 pm! So we wound up dining early. Do make reservations for here, as I've since learned that it is a "hot" place right now. There is valet parking out front, but there's also street parking if you prefer. When we came a bit after 5 pm the small bar area was packed and many of the tables were already filled. When we left every table was taken and there was a large crowd waiting for seats. The menu is quite different -- a bit eclectic -- and for some a little challenging to navigate. Everything is printed, that is, there are no specials or additions. We started by sharing their duck bistella. If you're familiar with the Morrocan one, this is only like it in that it's a pastry with a filling. Contrary to our server's description, it's nothing like the original. No cinnamon or sugar and a way different filling. There are four separate little pieces stuffed with plain shredded duck meat. It's fairly bland in itself. Two pieces are topped with red peppers and two with cheese. It was just okay. After that my husband and I each got a half order of a pasta. These dishes were fantastic! I had their sweet corn agnolotti. This pasta was like a small ravioli stuffed with a creamy sweet corn filling. There were bacon bits and ricotta on top. It was in a butter sauce that I was happy to see it was not spicy at all -- contrary to the menu description of "espelette" which has a peppery chili kick. My husband had their squid ink orecchiette which had sausage and conch. He loved it. For dessert, we shared their bananas foster butter cake which came with a small scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, and banana pieces. This was just lovely. Our friends had a key lime tarte with meringue which was quite good, as well. Service was very good. Depending on what you order, prices are reasonable especially considering the quality and expertise of the chefs. I'd say that only the cocktails are expensive here. Despite it being in Palm Beach, dress was resort casual. It's not a stuffy venue. I'm very glad we came here. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. read more

Took over 3 months for me to actually get a reservation here! And when I did, the only time and slot available was a Monday evening at 9:30pm. I will say though, that Buccan is definitely worth the hype. My friend and I had a fantastic experience here from start to finish. Valet is complimentary and located right out front. The ambiance was warm and inviting. I enjoyed the decor on the inside as it was aesthetically pleasing. My friend and I sat in a booth in the back. Buccan is known for their tapas and small plates. Our server explained that approximately 4 dishes is what most people order. To start, my friend and I ordered beverages: she got the passionate one (very sweet) and I got the bathtub gin but with tequila. We loved them both! We started off with a few items: short rib empanadas, tuna crisps, sweet corn agnolotti and the shaved vegetable salad. Out of these items I would say the MUST ORDER items are the empanadas and the sweet corn. They were absolutely DELICIOUS! The meat inside the short rib was melt in your mouth type of tender. The sweet corn was essentially in the form of baby raviolis and were phenomenal. Our final course was the prime beef burger cooked medium which we split. It came with fries and sauce. Buccan was excellent!. It's mostly a small plates menu but includes a number of large plate items as well. On Palm Beach Island, you'll see many Bentleys and other conspicuous consumption vehicles and patrons are dressed to the 9s. They have valet parking as street parking is limited. We opted to sit at the bar. The servers are highly professional and very attentive, some of the best service I've received in recent times. The pickled pineapple margaritas are a classic, spicy margarita, not drowning in ice. All of the dishes we tried were fantastic. The Italian Burrata was a melody of different ingredients that all complemented each other quite well. The spicy pork tacos with extra salsa verde were quite good, shredded pork and drizzled with a few drops of a squeeze of lime. The short rib empanada was delish with a light cream sauce as was the duck bastilla which had red pepper and raita giving it an Indian flare. We also enjoyed the sweet corn agnolotti and the whipped chickpea hummus with triangles of warm pita. We were definitely full by the time we finished everything. We had a fabulous experience on a Monday night. We have been trying for months to get in and we finally got a reservation! We parked on the street but they have valet. We were early but the hostesses kindly checked us in and directed us to the bar to wait and have a cocktail. The young lady with the curly blonde hair and the one with very short reddish hair were very friendly! Stephanie was our waitress and she was fantastic! Our glasses were always full and her recommendations were spot on. We got the garden salad- bright and refreshing. Tangy with goat cheese and perfectly shareable. For red, the Super Tuscan from the Bolgheri region. Tonight, the Spicy Pork Taco edged out the Short Rib Empanadas, though both were excellent. The Crispy Duck Confit remains one of my favorite dishes here and did not disappoint. Steak Tartare--prime NY strip, black truffle, crispy egg yolk--simple and excellent. A true 5 star dining experience! We had the best waiter, Nour, and he made fantastic recommendations. My personal favorites were the pesto shrimp scampi pasta, Tuna Crisps, and the grilled wagyu short rib large plate. Came here on a Monday but all reservations were full so I cannot get a reservation. I really wanted to try their dish so I ordered online for pick up! Pick up service was fast, there is a window in the back of restaurant on the side of the street you can drive by and pick it up easily. I got the Hamachi Tiradito: it came with the yuzu sauce separate so you need to pour it in to complete the dish. The fish was so fresh and the combo of all the sauces compliment each very well. I love this dish! A note is once I open the to go box - there are lint and dust inside it, I'm assuming they did not clean the box before they put the food in or they wipe it with the towel that has lint on it. So be careful if you do order to go. Inspect the box before you eat. Next dish is Sweet corn agnolotti size small. Oh my goodness this is the best pasta type I've ever tasted! Do yourself a favor and get this dish. It has real corn in the sauce and bacon. Inside the pasta it has a soft and creamy with corn flavor in it so that was a nice surprise! Fun vibe and great food -- make a reservation! We were in town for work and finally had a night to go out. We'd walked by Buccan on our last trip and decided to give it a try -- glad we did! It has a great vibe and the food was really good. We didn't have a reservation, so we put our name in and waited a bit before getting seated at a high-top in the bar. It was pretty packed and loud, with people standing close around us, so it felt a little tight. Drinks and dinner came out quickly and everything was delicious. I was especially happy to see a few vegan options -- the vegan Butter "Chikin" made with lion's mane mushrooms was so good! My husband had a half order of the shrimp scampi and a half order of the Sweet Corn Agnolotti, which is one of their specialties. He said both were great, though the Agnolotti was pretty rich. We came here for a bachelorette dinner and there were 16 of us, and I was very happy to find out that all the tik toks I saw about this place weren't over hyping it - it really is that good. For reference, I tried the following: - passion fruit cocktail: amazing, tart, very sweet, and the rosé foam REALLY added to the sensory factor of the cocktail - spicy margarita: always delicious - empanadas: at first, I was a little displeased by the sizing of the empanadas (thing a big Tostinos pizza roll) but wow did they back flavor. Each empanada was completely stuffed with delicious shredded beef and the crust was flakey and light. - main lobester ceviche: can't go wrong with ceviche and there were large chunks of buttery lobster that paired perfectly with the zing of the lime in the base. - tempura squash blossoms: now these were definitely a star. I love squash blossoms, but too often are they under stuffed and over breaded. These were filled to perfection and not overly breaded - they were wonderfully balayages and presented beautifully. - squid ink orchiette: this dish was light and delicate yet very filling. The pasta was cooked well, the chunks of Italian sausage paired well with what seemed to be a buttery, white wine, garlicky lemon sauce. If you enjoy squid ink pasta, you will not be disappointed with this dish. Overall, the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely and the staff were very prompt and professional. This is most definitely not a restaurant that you'll be able to dine in without a reservation so definitely advise making one in advance! We made our reservation for 7:45 (prime time) so to no one's surprise, this place was packed like sardines. Which is and had always been, off putting for me, however, it speaks to how great the restaurant is. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation but service was quick. We were immediately given water and our waiter was getting our drink order ready within minutes of being seated. I had the bathtub gin (very heavy on the cucumber) and my fiancé had their Cuban Espresso cocktail which was reposado based. Both were good but I definitely think they could have dialed down on the cucumber for mine. We ended up skipping appetizers since I came in with a plan to have multiple desserts and didn't want to spoil that. For dinner I had their burger which was fantastic! We went for a celebratory dinner and everything was phenomenal! I loved my bathtub gin drink and my husband got their old fashion which he enjoyed too. A little sweetness that u even enjoyed it. We started w the tuna tartare crisps. Mouth watering and a must. It comes w 3 and we ordered a 4th. Note: it's additional $8 for the extra one, would've been nice to know that before the bartender asked us if we wanted to add it. We also got the short rib empanada, and that was phenomenal as well. I had the snapper Asian dish. This had a tangy flavor that I did get tired of halfway through the meal. I do think it would be a good idea to share this if you do want it. The fish was delicious fresh and flaky. My husband ordered the chicken large plate and we loved his. We ended the meal with a shared dessert, called the 100 grand. This restaurant was the poster child of what an upscale high end fantastic restaurant should be like. We were like to get reservation for Saturday dinner. The restaurant was packed in the evening. Inside is decent, with an open dining area and a bar on the side. Free valet service is offered to guests at the door. I was very excited to try several item from the menu. Started with the crispy duck leg. It was so soft that the meat came off of the bone as soon we touched it with knife. Then I got the scallops, again so perfectly cooked, with moist center and little brownish outside, served on top of delicious butternut squash and lardons. We also ordered the filet mignon (medium rare plus), one of the nest steaks I ever had. It was so tender and so tasty. They out did some of the most popular steak houses we had been in. It was incredible how fast all these amazing dishes came out from kitchen. We waited less than 15 minutes for all these amazing dishes including the steak. Their service was top notch, our waiter was a pro. Time to time they came to fill up all our glasses of water, cleaned crumbles from the table, and gave us new utensils for each course. I was thoroughly impressed with Buccan, for sure it was one of my best dining experience. Would for sure visit again if we are in West Palm Beach. read more

The best Filet mignon I have ever had. So soft and cooked perfectly for through whole filet. Branzino is amazing too. Bones out. Pan fried. With the sauce. It's absolutely wonderful execution. Squid ink orecchiette seems to be a popular choice from the table as well. The flavor has a little punch(spicy?). overall great dish. Service is 5/5. We had a big group and all items came out on time with no issue. They came over to top of the water, order more drinks etc. Definitely recommend the restaurant for date nights, family gatherings and just have good time. read more

We had a reservation but still needed to wait for a table. The table was located right near the food preparation where you can hear them loudly calling out the orders needing to be made. Not the ambiance I was expecting.. Our waiter was extremely nice and attentive. The food and drinks were pretty good! Nothing outstanding but not bad either. There was parking very close a street or two over where it was 2 hours max for free which I was surprised to find in that area. read more

We had an amazing experience at Buccan celebrating our wedding anniversary. Standouts were the lion mane mushroom appetizer and the sweet corn pasta. The banana foster was out of this world and I don't even really like banana. Our waiter Francisco was AMAZING. He treated us like family the second we were sat. He guided us through the menu and timed our courses perfectly and was so so nice. He truly made the experience for us! We will definitely be back. read more
