I give this a 4/5 star review. I thought the location was great and a very live atmosphere. The service was very professional although not great enough for 5 stars. The were very detailed oriented but stopped checking the table after the appetizers leaving us to skip on additions cocktails because we were already finished with eating along with regular drinks. They also took a very long time to take our plates to go. Maybe 15-20 minutes of just waiting around for the bill. The food is great but nothing is as good as the beef Wellington. We also ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had that unmistakable metallic, pungent flavor that immediately signals the fish is not fresh and should not be consumed further. We brought the issue to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged it initially but never returned to follow up. To their credit, the salmon was removed from the bill and an alternative dish was offered. However, the overall experience still fell far short of what should be expected at this price point and reputation level. What disappointed me most was not simply the food itself, but the complete lack of genuine hospitality and ownership from management. Strong restaurants understand that service recovery matters just as much as the meal. There's a reason establishments like The Capital Grille or Flagler Steakhouse have earned reputations for professionalism and customer care. Sometimes I genuinely think managers at places like this should spend time training in environments where hospitality is treated as an art form rather than an inconvenience. The following day, I was still disappointed enough to write this review. At a certain point, guests should not have to spend over $200 while simultaneously educating a restaurant on how to deliver proper service and quality control. Heard so many good things about Harry's and I was so excited to visit to celebrate my anniversary. We skipped the appetizers and started with our entrees. The Beef Wellington and Prime Bone-In N.y. Strip was cooked to perfection-- so delicious and mouth watering. Paired with fries, a purple rain and non alcoholic strawberry drink... dinner was delicious. I ordered the Braised Wagyu Beef Barolo Risotto with Madeira Mushrooms and my wife ordered the Filet Mignon 8oz Usa with Yukon Gold Whipped Potatoes. The shrimp were my personal favorite! Delicious starter, but would likely skip next time especially due to the price and portion, but worth it to give it a try. For dinner - the beef wellington with a side of mashed potato's, and for me, I believe it was the braised wagyu beef. Mine was stellar (I ordered it after being highly recommended by staff, and they were right). It was perfectly tender meat, brussel sprouts, carrots, and a creamy risotto. This was my favorite part of the meal hands down. If you're just stopping in for dessert and dessert cocktails - you have to get the Grasshopper & the Tawny Port!! Best dessert cocktails I've ever had. They paired beautifully with their cheesecake. Overall It's definitely on the pricier and more formal side, but I would 100% return again on a special occasion. We met some friends in the bar area for a birthday celebration. They set us up with a few tables and Emily was our server. She was very helpful anf attentive. It's perfect for a place to grab a drink and a bite. Highly suggest the Vesper. Our food was amazing as well as the service! It was a very nice presentation and the end two pieces were good but the two center pieces were very cooked to rare so the server offered to cook one of the very center piece. Tell me you will completely burned it!!! They brought it back with the pastry completely burned and meat cooked to medium well. I don't expect this kind of service here. Then I took a bite of the mashed potatoes and it was inedibly salty. They should taste the food if they're not measuring the salt. It tastes like they put the whole container of salt in it. We really really wanted to love this place. A great steakhouse is few and far between. We had planned to eat at the bar, which is our usual preference. There were two servers. One was welcoming and the other was aloof. We got aloof. Drinks were measured, which is a major negative when you're paying high prices, and I happened to notice that the aloof server put ice in with her bare hands. Yuck. Not classy. The bar seats had no backs, so combined with the unwelcoming feeling we had, we decided to move to the lounge tables. Settling in, we ordered our entrees and I'd asked for a glass of wine. The server showed up with a martini, and I had to correct her. When she went to the bar I told my wife that I predict they'd still charge us for the martini. Yep. They did. I had to ask them to remove the charge. I'd ordered the filet medium rare plus. I was told they didn't provide that. So, I settled for medium rare. It was server medium rare minus. I asked myself if they can do minus (too rare), why not medium rare plus? I never had a chance to ask, since the server never asked how the steak was. When you cut into an expensive filet, the table shouldn't shake. The onion rings were soggy and inedible. Dress code calls for smart casual....no tank tops, bare midriffs, hats, and the like. The service was excellent and the establishment was very well kept definitely a classy place if you're looking to go out for a special occasion when you're in the West Palm area. It's a very classy layout that radiates a seafood-based dining experience, with the booth material and colors indicating a spot to enjoy fine wine and crafty cocktails. It is a touch expensive, but I will say it's a better experience than most restaurants based in Palm Beach proper. The service was solid and accommodating. They were patient with us and ensured we had new cocktails and drinks when needed. They have a very nice menu, so I would love to return to check out more of the items and see what else they do that is also magical. I enjoyed the Tomahawk Steak, which was class, and the lobster cocktail with my wife. The Branzino was solid and had an excellent flavor profile, apart from the steak. A server comes over with a tray of bread and you get to choose from 2 different loaves & choose how many slices you'd like. What???? I have never experienced that before & it quite honestly prevents a) over eating & b) wasted food. In between each course, they actually take away your plate & silverwear & replace it with new. Every course! On to the food. The Buffalo mozzarella and tomato was creamy and with just the right amount of saltiness. I read that the Beef Wellington was "an enduring staple not to be missed" so of course we ordered it, along with the Braised Wagyu Beef Barolo Risotto. Yes, the Wellington was quite tasty & my partner loved it, but for me, that braised Wagyu was to die for! So tender! Went here last weekend with a group for dinner. Wife and I had the beef Wellington with sides of fries and hash browns. Our orders were delayed from everyone else at the table and my specific steak was to be medium which came out medium rare so they had to take it back and redo it. Wasn't fond of the delays on our orders with the others in our party getting their food on time. This was our second time visiting. This was my second visit to Harry's after a disappointing first visit. This one was great. We had a drink at the bar and then were seated promptly. My wife had the Harry's salad which she said was very good and I had the French onion soup, also very good. For mains my wife had the aged NY strip in the bone and said that while it was rich, it was very good too. I had the rack of lamb and it was delicious . Last Saturday night, January 24, I took my two nieces out to dinner at Harry's in West Palm Beach. We were celebrating my younger niece's birthday and I wanted the night to be special -- elegant, relaxed, and memorable. This was a splurge, and I chose Harry's because I thought we'd feel pampered. The food was excellent. The ambience was lovely. The service, unfortunately, was a mess. We were seated for our 6:15 reservation right away, at a corner table on the beautiful patio. Then, things got weirdly disjointed. From the moment we sat down, it felt like no one was actually responsible for us. One person brought menus, another took cocktail orders, another brought bread, another poured water. We chalked this up to the fine dining way of doing things. After we'd been sitting with our cocktails for a few minutes, a gracious young man came over and assured us that our server would be along shortly -- "to guide you through your dining experience." The very next person to approach us -- our server -- simply asked if we were ready to order. That "disconnect" pretty much set the tone for the night. I had told the person who took our cocktail order that we'd be ordering a bottle of wine with dinner -- a cue for a sommelier's attention if ever there was one! No one ever mentioned wine again. Our server never asked, and by the time I remembered, I couldn't find him anywhere. We ended up having dinner without wine. To be fair, our appetizer service was flawless, with a Greek salad tossed tableside. But no one cleared our cocktail glasses. No one refilled our water. There was no coordination. The most awkward part of the night involved my younger niece, whose birthday we were celebrating. She talked at length with our server about gluten-free options and ordered cacio e pepe with gluten free spaghetti. What came out was a bowl of plain, dry ziti. We held up the bowl and looked around for help. No one came. After a while, my older niece finally got up and walked around the dining room looking for help. Our server came back, apologized profusely, and said it was a miscommunication with the kitchen. The replacement dish came much later, after we were well into our entrees. When the pasta came, it was the same bowl of ziti with a bland, lukewarm tomato sauce poured over it. All night long, we had to work to get basic things. We had to flag people down for water every time. No one checked on us during our meal. Not once. Dessert menus showed up, then vanished, then came back again. Two separate people offered to box up our leftovers. When my coffee arrived, it didn't have the cream I'd requested. I had to crane my neck and raise my finger to get our server's attention -- and that wasn't the first time that evening. When he finally noticed me and came over, I asked for cream. He apologized and rushed away. The next time I saw him, he was at another table taking dinner orders. Someone else eventually brought the cream. By then, we were laughing, because the whole thing had become so strange it was almost funny. As I was drinking my coffee, we overheard a nearby table complaining loudly to a manager about the slow service. The manager explained that the pacing was "intentional" -- that they want guests to feel unrushed and relaxed. One of the complaining customers ridiculed the manager for making excuses for substandard service. (Ouch.) Moments later, that same manager came to our table and asked us to leave so they could seat another party that had been waiting 30 minutes. No apology, no explanation for the chaotic service, just a request that we wrap things up. We'd been there almost two hours, and every extra minute came from service delays and confusion -- not from lingering. One last odd moment stuck with me: when the check arrived, the server placed it in front of my younger niece -- the birthday girl -- even though I was clearly hosting the dinner and am visibly decades older than either of them. If the night hadn't already been so strange, it might have been funny. One note: Toward the end of our meal, my nieces left the table to use the restroom and observed our server arguing with another employee. Clearly, there was drama on the floor and it seeped into the service. That should never happen. I didn't include anyone's name here because I truly don't think this was the servers' fault. Everyone we interacted with -- except for the manager at the end -- was polite and apologetic. Clearly, our experience was the result of a failure of training and communication -- the systems that should have made this night feel smooth and indulgent (and seamless) instead of confusing and exhausting. I chose Harry's because I wanted to give my nieces a beautiful night they'd always remember. The kitchen absolutely did its part. This was one of the best dinner experiences we've had in a long time. Everything was superb -- from the attentive service to the delicious food to the ambiance. And we were duly impressed. Street parking was available -- which we used -- as well as valet parking -- which our friends used. When we first arrived, it wasn't that busy. The restaurant soon filled up with several large parties celebrating events. Even though they were quite busy on a Saturday night, we never felt rushed or ignored. We started by sharing their smoked trout deviled eggs appetizer. Picture creamy eggs topped with a slightly salty fish as well as caviar. Really wonderful. Our friends shared the buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad. For entrees, both gals got the whole branzino. Although they remove the tail and head for you -- as well as the bones -- I asked for mine to be left whole. They did remove the head and bones but left the tail. The fish was light and flaky and melt in your mouth. We shared a side of onion rings which were served piping hot. Surprisingly, they too were very good with a light batter. My husband had their lamb curry risotto which came with the fluffy white rice in a separate copper dish along with a few carrots. There was a small side of mango chutney. He said the lamb was very tender. The curry was "Asian" style with a fairly strong spice level. He really liked his whole meal. Our friend got a red snapper fish special of the evening with a putanesca sauce and fingerling potatoes. For dessert, we shared their coconut cake with passionfruit sorbet. The moist coconut cake was one of the best ever with two types of coconut. If you love coconut, then this is a must choice. My husband loved the passionfruit sorbet (his favorite flavor). He said it was "wonderful". Our friends shared an apple tart. We are already thinking about our return visit and what other items we liked to try from the menu. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but unlike many other places we've been to, we can absolutely say this one is worth it on every level. read more
