On a positive note, our server was exceptional friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which helped enhance our overall experience. When we first arrived, we were told they couldn't split the bill seven ways, but they could accept separate payments. We were also told there would be a 20% service charge for our group. When it was time to pay, the 20% charge hadn't been added to the bill. We had already calculated our totals assuming it would be included, which caused some confusion. Afterward, it felt like our server was frustrated when we had already factored the 20% into my payment. Since the bill couldn't be split automatically, one of my friends had to calculate everyone's individual totals and tell the server how much to charge each person's card. On top of that, both my friend and I received the wrong meals and had to wait for our correct orders to be made. Our server was kind, and I don't think any of these issues were intentional, but there were several unnecessary hassles throughout our visit that took away from an otherwise enjoyable brunch. Even though the line wasn't that long, it still took a solid 20-30 minutes to get inside because they kept letting "VIP" people skip ahead. Apparently everyone in Palm Beach is either a VIP, dating a VIP, or pretending to be one. There's no cover charge, which at first feels generous... until you realize they automatically add a 20% gratuity to your bill. The place is so dark inside that you practically need night-vision goggles to read the check, so none of us noticed and almost our entire group tipped another 18-20% on top of it. By the end of the night, we tipped enough to personally fund someone's boat payment. Nearly 40% in gratuity is wild. Then came the bathroom experience. No running water in the sinks, no hand sanitizer... nothing. So apparently we were all just expected to raw dog public restroom germs and head straight back to the dance floor. YIKES. The best part of the night was honestly the people watching. It felt like a live taping of Real Housewives of Palm Beach: designer outfits, dramatic entrances, suspiciously overfilled faces, and enough Botox in the room to stop time itself. Absolutely entertaining. The music was actually pretty good, but the place was so packed there was barely room to dance. At one point I think I burned more calories trying to squeeze past people than actually moving to the music. It tasted like standard steamed cauliflower and I don't remember what it supposedly came seasoned with, but none of it had flavor. We also got the truffle corn side dish and onion rings. The corn was small bud edible. The onion rings, however, were not. They were SO hard that I couldn't bit into them and when I tried to use a fork and knife it ended up just making a mess. We ended up barely making a dent in both the cauliflower and onion rings and when they took our plates we were honest that both dishes were basically inedible. The fish that swim in the clear glass are so pretty. Clownfish I think? I've been at a table twice before, but I much prefer the barstools to watch the fish and look at the sand and coral. The bartenders are always very professional, but friendly if you talk to them. As for the menu, it's not a large list, and it's very expensive. I've had the crab nachos and the seafood tower and both were terrific. A guy next to us last night had the burger, which I wouldn't choose at a seafood bar, but he seemed happy with it. A man on the other side of us had two shots of whiskey at $260 a piece. I couldn't believe it! So it's a fun place to people watch as well, and of course just walking through the Breakers Hotel is a kick. I like to think of all its history. If you are rich, it's a nice place for a date. If you aren't rich and want a special evening, I can recommend it. I self parked for free, but if you valet you can get your ticket validated.
