The House is a hidden gem! If you're looking for a great happy hour spot in West Palm Beach, this is it. It's east of 85 off Forest Hill and so easy to find. Our group was welcomed with attentive, friendly service from start to finish. The standout dishes for me were the crispy Brussels sprouts and the colossal shrimp cocktail--the shrimp were enormous and so fresh! I also loved my salad. I sampled the pepperoni and spinach pizzas, but since I'm not a big pizza person, they just weren't my favorites. Thankfully, there were plenty of other delicious options. There were burgers and fries to try as well as shrimp potstickers- the potstickers ranked high for me! The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. Sitting outside overlooking the golf course is peaceful and beautiful, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Running into a friend there was the icing on the cake! They also had I e cream and a large cookie dessert which others liked. A glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc was the perfect way to end a wonderful evening. The Donut holes, came with a bunch of bowls of flavors. Strawberry, Carmel, Chocolate, and fresh wipped cream. Calamari was good but very small portion and interesting Smoked salmon spread with Ritz crackers which was tasty. Each table gets a fresh multi color bread muffin lookin g bread on the table I went with the Lourrane Omelet and shared the breakfast brisket tacos. They were both so yummy filled with flavor! Casual upscale restaurant on a beautiful 18 hole public golf course . We celebrated Easter brunch here. Our server was great. Food was hit or miss. The Goat cheese was fried perfectly but the dressing on the greens it laid on was way too sweet for my taste. The calamari and rock shrimp app. was awesome. The burger was good but nothing special. Chicken and Waffles were tasty but I didn't like that they put the syrup on before serving it to us. The french toast was also super sweet and taste more like a bread pudding. I met a friend here for HH, where we enjoyed a few hours at the bar, indulging in great cocktails and light bites that we shared between the two of us. Service was attentive from beginning to end. We started with house margaritas. They were very refreshing and delicious. After a few sips, I was ready to try out a few options on the food menu. Going back to The House restaurant after a year hiatus was a pleasant surprise and a big improvement. Drinks were always disappointing with thrifty pours but that has changed and now there is more of a standard pour. On prior visits the food was basic and dull and we would end up leaving much of it and while it wasn't awful it was teetering on below average. The menu has slightly changed and there also must have been a kitchen or managerial change because most of what we ordered on this visit was good. Appetizers were fine, however a Shrimp Cocktail was pretty bad and out of four I left three. A burger was nicely cooked and an interesting pasta item more than compensated for the mediocre shrimp. A Key Lime Pie was a good dessert choice with a nice mix of tangy and sweet. Parking is free and easy, views are nice, prices are fair and service is outstanding. read more

The hubs and I were heading north and thought let's have lunch in WPB. We found this spot on Yelp and gave it a try. This spot did NOT disappoint! For starters, we had the crispy rock shrimp and calamari and the cripsy brussel sprouts. Both were very flavorful! And for our meal we shared the clam and chorizo pizza (we went here a couple years ago, I've checked the menu and I see they no longer have said pizza, so sad...). This is honestly very unique and we were impressed. We also had a couple cocktails but unfornately the names escape me at the moment, but I know they were good. We're not avid golfers but it was nice to people watch and see everyone swinging on the green. We had a very good dinner experience here. When we came it was still happy hour and we were able to take advantage of all their discounted drinks and bites. Parking was at a premium in the two lots. We had to drive around a bit to find an open space. Probably because of all the golfers still there and because of happy hour. The restaurant is located on a golf course. It might have been that they were a bit busy in the kitchen or that our server had a few too many tables, but it took quite a bit to get our food. And instead of getting the soup and salad first, it all came out at one time. But those were the only minor glitches. In addition to some HH wine and a Prosecco, the other two of us had iced tea. My husband had a salad, sticky ribs, and the fried calamari/rock shrimp. I tried some of the shrimp and liked it. I think his favorite was the ribs. His cousin had the conch chowder, the sticky ribs, and fried oysters. His favorite was the conch chowder which he said had a bit of spice. These were all small plates from the HH menu. I had an appetizer -- their lobster corn dogs from the regular menu. There were 3 on wooden sticks to the order. The outer coating was delicious and there was a nice sized chunk of lobster meat inside each one. These were great. I'd get this again. Our cousin's wife got the regular menu's rack of ribs. It was quite a large portion. She said they were a tad spicy but fall off the bone. The ribs came with coated fries. She took half home. We shared some key lime pie for dessert. With the happy hour prices, our meals were very reasonable. By having several different plates, we were able to try a number of items from their menu. We all said we'd like to return. read more

With that said, the interior is large and as we saw the bar was filled with patrons and the dining room (very nicely decorated), was starting to fill with patrons. We had reservations and were seated immediately and given menus as well as the Happy Hour Menus to look over. Listed HH beverages and wines as well as food items are half off during the Happy Hour window. I enjoyed a very nice House Salad, Sticky Ribs and Calamari Rock Shrimp. Although the Happy Hour describes small plates, they are plenty to enjoy as an entree if you don't want to share. All of the items I chose came out at the same time, so table real estate was crowded and you have to eat the hot dishes first and then the salad. We easily made a reservation on Open table. When we arrived, we easily found parking but I can see how it could be a challenge since it shares space with the actual golf course. We were promptly seated and quickly greeted by our wonderful waitress Nicole. Nicole shared with us the specials with knowledgeable detail. We ordered the lobster corn dogs to start. What a fun and whimsical appetizer! It was delicious and had huge chunks of lobster inside. It was just the right amount of breading. And the sauce... fantastic! My husband got the trio of snapper. It comes with the skin on, which he usually does not care for, but he ate every single bite! I ordered the pasta with grilled shrimp. The sauce was so decadent and creamy, the shrimp were good quality and flavored nicely by the grill. It married beautifully together! Lastly, we order the strawberry shortcake, not really our thing but Nicole highly recommended. She was right! It was refreshing, not too sweet, homemade whipped cream and a perfect way to end our meal. The only thing I have to complain about (and it's silly really) is the bathroom is shared with the golfers on the golf course, which means it was busy and a bit smelly from the golfers being outside. The House gets all 5 stars from me. We had such an amazing dinner here. Our server was so hospitable and really personable. He explained the Restaurant Month menu and fan favorites. We took some of his recommendations and ordered a few cocktails. We were pretty hungry and had to stop ourselves from devouring the warm bread and butter spread. It was so good, our server kindly sent 2 fresh rolls home for us with our leftovers! On this night, we tried the calamari, oysters, steak and snapper. Pleasantly surprised at how big the portions were for restaurant month. Definitely got hooked on the oysters. I could eat 6 dozen with the vinaigrette they provided. The trio snapper is also delicious. I enjoyed the sides the accompanied the snapper - lobster mash, spinach, and mango salsa. I did not expect a golf course to have such an amazing restaurant. We were also given a free 9 hole golf round card to come back and enjoy the course. We liked that you can book a tee time late as they have lights out on the greens. We have now visited The House well over a handful of times since first discovering its existence just a couple months ago. It's rare you find a restaurant where kids can be kids and adults can be adults, but The House manages to tow that delicate line with ease. The 90's nostalgia in me loves to see my toddler and other littles rolling down the putting green (with a glass of wine in my hand) and truly, you can't put a price on that kind of bliss, but this establishment doesn't lack in the other categories either. While the menu isn't extensive, the food is terrific, at a fair price point. We have tried everything from the margarita pizza ($6 on HH!) to the chicken sanchoco and the guava ribs. I've yet to be disappointed. The cocktails are on par () with the food and happy hour is 7 days/week. On Friday's, the breezeway floods with kids for a cute craft or just getting their wiggles out with a soccer ball. Plus, what a view! Not much can beat the sun setting on the golf course. I had no idea about this restaurant until I made a reservation on OpenTable. A restaurant called the House? It may not be something you live in, but the creative name works for this hidden gem. It's located by a golf course and has nice views of the course if you sit by the windows facing the outside. There is a check-in offer on the app for a specialty cocktail and I got the All the Way Up. I felt all the way up for sure after drinking it ;) We enjoyed the complimentary bread for a starter. The chicken parmesan with a side of pasta and the tres leches cake were delicious. Our waiter was very nice except he didn't tell us once during the wait about the status of our food. It took about a half hour for the food to come out. It wasn't busy and was surprised about it. It was a small hiccup and was probably an oversight.
