However, when we arrived and room choices were still a bit limited, the Colony made a wonderful and significant upgrade for us and we could not be more appreciative. To say above and beyond would be understating. So...what about everything else? From the time you're greeted by the bellmen, to the check-in process, the employees could not be more friendly and accomodating. The bartenders are long time employees, and very nice folks. The servers too are great. Management has done a fantastic job creating a welcoming atmosphere where one feels right at home. The restaurant, Swifty's, is excellent. Breakfast poolside is always nice. Early riser? Coffee and a choice of newspapers are alway waiting for you. Take it outside by the pool and have a quiet morning before starting the day. What a great way to start our stay. Our waterfront rooms faced the Palm Harbor Marina with views overlooking the harbor, Codes (stainless steel and glass sculptures), and a view of Palm Beach Island and the Intracoastal Waterway. In room amenities included thick plush towels, soft robes and slippers. Closets also included a safe, full size ironing board, iron, and a steamer. Two large umbrellas hung in the closet in case of rainy weather. The bar and refrigerator were stocked with alcohol, snacks, and more water. The beds are comfortable and featured sheets stitched with The Ben's name and logo. Hotel amenities included a rooftop pool, glass elevator, gym, and room service. Complimentary bikes and shuttle services are available. Bruno, a Circuit vehicle, provides rides exclusively for The Ben guests anywhere within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. There is also a Book Butler that can bring you a curated and rotated book delivered on a silver platter! Tatianna, at the Front Desk, answered questions and provided good breakfast recommendations. Kevin, Bell Services, was also helpful. He made sure I had all the information on how to schedule a ride with Bruno and that we had water boxes for our trip and activities we had planned for the day.
