Great space to work from, quiet and modern, friendly staff, plenty of snacks, and equipment (extra monitor) to borrow while here!

While visiting different cities for work, I'm frequently in need of coworking spaces that offer day passes. For my trip to West Palm Beach, I reached out to a couple of spots and The Studio 1016 was quick to respond and super easy to work with. I reserved a private office for two of us one day which cost $50. We were able to use their printer and scanner, coffee machine, and even free soda/La Croix from the cooler. The space felt quiet overall, but you're able to talk freely. Some nice light music was playing in the background which I didn't mind. The location is about a block away from Grand Public Market which is a score for lunch, snacks, or more coffee. There's a parking lot, as well as street parking. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking The Studio out if you're in need of a space! read more

When I think 'shared office space,' I think of cold, functional workspaces. When I think 'co-working space,' I think a little more out of the box. Either way, the Studio 1016 _well_ exceeded my expectations. Once I walked in, I felt very comfortable. Studio 1016 is housed in a giant warehouse just west of the (Tri-rail) traintracks but East of I-95. You may have seen this block from the highway: the exterior is completely painted in a colorful camouflage-type pattern. Inside, the entire space is decorated in a hip, industrial, creative style. I found the effect extremely appealing. Several females were grouped around a couch, with coffee and laptops-- and I wanted to join them! Smiles to a newcomer; thank you ladies. The actual room I used is one of several built with exposed, creatively-used building materials. Several unnecessary items were precariously perched on top of my work desk and I had to remove them in order to utilize my workspace-- and so they wouldn't crash to the floor. I could have used an extra outlet, and/or an extension that allowed items to rest on the table rather than down low. The 'room' was open air, as were the others, and I could hear the conversations going on throughout the space, when not drowned out by the loud rock music playing throughout the space. It worked, but in the future I will remember to bring silencing headphones, as I'm pretty picky about music. Major plus: The Studio is in very short walking distance of West Palm's food hall, Grandview Public Market. The space has a fancy coffee machine, snacks and fancier drinks for sale, a communal printer, eat-in tables and chairs, lounge areas, a pool and a ping-pong table and probably more features that I don't even know about yet. Looking forward to returning! Please note that this co-working space is UNIT 5. The entire painted warehouse block is all the same address of 1016, so if you try to locate The Studio based on its funky and unmissable exterior, you might end up at the shooting range in Unit 1, wondering why a co-working space is hidden inside a gun center.?! I'm moving into a warehouse nearby and did not have wifi or electricity set up yet so I decided to come by 1016 for a few days this week. The co-working space is spacious, well-decorated, and pretty quiet. P.S. It's such a fun space! read more

This is a great coworking space for young creatives abs professionals! There are warm, welcoming vibes, and the staff is very helpful. There are multiple private offices (about 20), as well as several desks in an open layout seating space. Some desks offer multiple monitors (for the coding/fintech inclined), while others have dividers to give more privacy. There's also a photo studio as well as a large meeting office, although I haven't used those. The lighting is perfect. There's an open coffee and refreshments area. It also smells really nice in here lol. Highly, highly recommend! read more

I have been using the space for about two weeks now. I have to say that this is one of the most versatile coworking spaces I have had the opportunity to utilize. The most unique feature is the Photo Studio, available for members and non-members. I run a digital marketing agency so from time to time I have clients that need professional headshots and/or product shots. The staff is incredibly accommodating as well. read more

Poor communication. Hidden fees. No Supoort. Poor WiFi. I was a partner in 2 very successful co working spaces and was very much looking forward to bringing a San Francisco "start up" energy and vibe to the community. Aesthetically the owner has done a great job with the art and the layout of the space but that's where the positive experience ends. I signed up for a community desk for 3 months with the idea of moving up to a larger office and a long term commitment. I work for an international tech company and 90% of my work is done through conferencing Video, Audio and messaging. We do not transfer data or use large amounts of bandwidth just Zoom, Google Meet and Slack. Our needs are basic. WiFi and a place to make calls. From the very first day the WiFi was a major issue. They have 2 networks and both barely worked and were often down. My calls would drop out, my emails couldn't go out and forget about video conferencing maybe 2 out of 10 calls would work. They would reset the router they would tell me to change the network. I was using a clean brand new MacBook Pro. Next there was no where quite to make calls. There is a little mediation chair behind a curtain but it's behind a locked door in a event room that is often booked. In the evenings there is often events so if your a founder or someone who works past 6pm then you're now in the way of the event or the event is all around you and you can't work. Sometimes they would let me use another office near by but unfortunately there is a 2 foot or more gap from the top of the "walls" to the ceilings so the sound just bleeds as if you were in a common area. Extremely loud. I had a colleague fly into town and the owner waved the $10 a day fee which was very generous since he was in town for nearly a week but major still WiFi, conferencing and noise issues. We are launching a product so we worked late 2 days and both days the alarm went off at 10:30pm and stayed on until turned off. During my orientation they gave an alarm code in my paperwork but never ever explained it would be needed to be entered nightly at 10:30pm. I am a bright individual and would have had my alarm code ready to go. For the future they should explain the alarm situation better. Over text the owner said "I called ADT but they already put the call out so I'm not sure if we are going to be charged." I responded to "let me know" and that I did not know working late would be a problem as they advertise 24/7. This ruined our work sessions both nights. The following week out of the blue I see a charge on my credit card for $100. There was no heads up, there was no text, there was no call, there was no email explaining the situation. No notification what so ever that they were going to charge my credit card. Zero communication. I was furious and went down to talk with them about this but not only did they avoid me and the topic in some kind of twisted retaliation they decided to put stickers with my name all over my desk. They threw away the small clean professional sign and made my $350 a month work station look like a kindergartners art class. Extremely embarrassing. I told the young lady I did not appreciate nor like that what so ever and she laughed. I worked elsewhere for the next two weeks and when I returned to work with a representative from another company the stickers were still there. I called to explain my thoughts and ask if I could pay a kill fee to move on the woman on the phone could care less and would not address any of my concern other then saying "thanks for letting us know your thoughts". She said there was no kill fee and no out clause whatsoever. So I was charged in full the last month of my contract. Unbelievable. I was extremely optimistic about growing in the space and bringing a good energy and have a positive experience. I am left completely disappointed and forced to continue my search for a good co working community in West Palm Beach. read more
