    Cuban PB&J sandwich
    Andrew W.

If you're looking for the early 1970s New York City lower east side vibe you have found your new home. It's a very Lake Worth scene. The 1950s - 60s pop art, the furniture and the Jeff Koons balloon dog seats are in keeping with their theme. I had a Cuban PB&J sandwich which was excellent. There was no peanut butter or jelly. Just the perfect Cuban pressed bread and pork cheese pickle and sauce. It came with Parmesan fries or coleslaw. I chose the fries which my wife enjoyed. My wife had a Caesar salad, which was not a true Caesar, but an alternative Caesar that was very good which she had topped with shrimp. I had a PBR and she had a vodka with soda. They offered us a complementary a chocolate orange cookie. The chocolate was warm and inviting, and the orange was beyond a hint of taste, but not overpowering. Just a proud orange taste. The staff was excellent and our server who I believe was named Moxie was very attentive and friendly. The chef came out and asked us how everything was, and I complimented him on his Fine Touch and takes on some traditional dishes. We really enjoyed eating there hanging out in the open space under the trees. A wonderful new spot in downtown Lake Worth.

OTC is a truly stand-up, customer-forward restaurant where the entire staff is passionate about every customer having a divine evening in their care. Every detail behind the design of the beautifully moody room, staff wardrobe, menu creation, staff training has clearly been lovingly and painstakingly crafted. And it all delivered a wonderfully satisfying experience -- one which we can't wait to have again soon! Caesar Salad, Ceviche, Short Rib, Burger, Half Chicken and their AMAZING fries dazzled us all! The cocktails were wonderful as well. Kudos to Horace and his amazing team! We absolutely LOVE Off The Clock!

We made reservations and received a call with information about the restaurant, dress code, parking instructions, etc. Definitely a unique touch and something I hadn't seen before. The DJ spinning records behind the bar created such a fun atmosphere. He went from reggae, to 80's, 90's, and contemporary throughout the night, which was cool. We started with their version of an old fashion (forget the name) and the passion fruit mocktail. The old fashion was delicious. The mocktail was ok, very syrupy. We ordered the ceviche and beet salad. The beet salad was original, innovative, and delicious. Ceviche was very good but tasted a little fishy. We decided to split the short rib entree. It was very good (8.75/10). Maybe a little sweet for my taste but a solid dish paired with a tamarind sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. We had the carrot cake for dessert and it was solid as well. The wait felt a little long from the bar and the kitchen to get our food and drink, but we were willing to overlook. The owner was very kind and warmly introduced himself. We may return for a drink and to hear the music in the future!

It used to be a French restaurant for about 20 years and then kept changing hands with different types of cuisine. I am really hoping that is one of those restaurants that will make it. Our dinner experience here tonight was extremely pleasant. This is a huge restaurant with three rooms and a bar. There's a choice of about seven entrées and several salads and appetizers. We were a party of three and decided to try Pomona because we've never eaten there before. To start out with, I have got to give a shout out to our waiter Liam. I'm a senior citizen and I've eaten all over the world in many restaurants of every size and reputation, but I have never had a waiter as good as Liam. Even in Michelin five star restaurants in Europe . He was extremely pleasant, courteous, personable and ensured that we had a memorable dining experience. Let's face it. The food can be extraordinary, but if the weight staff sucks, then the experience is horrible. On the other hand of food could be mediocre, but if the service is outstanding, then you might overlook the mediocrity . It was the little things our waiter did like in between the appetizers and the salads and the main meal he came and gave us new napkins and changed all of our silverware. I have not even seen this in five star restaurants. He checked up on us frequently, which is something that waiters rarely do in any restaurant nowadays -- they usually take your order and that's the last you'll see of them until it's time for the check. But Liam checked on us frequently and make sure we had water and whatever we needed. Both my husband and I ordered the herb encrusted grouper. It was literally melt in your mouth grouper with some type of sauce that was made in heaven. The presentation was over orzo. I also had a Caesar salad. The third member of our party had the vodka penne. She loves Italian food and she said it was delicious. The portions were so huge that we had to take some home. Everyone in our party also had a Moscow Mule. For the quality of the food and the service this place was very reasonable --a party of three with cocktails, dinner, appetizers, and salad came to $155 before tax and tip. We will definitely return. And here is hoping that Pomona will last because we need a restaurant like this in downtown Lake Worth.

The appetizers and entrées are also good, and the prices are very reasonable. Another big plus is that you can usually find parking nearby, which makes stopping in even easier. I also love that they play old shows on the TVs it gives the place a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Overall, Pomona is a great spot for happy hour, good drinks, food, and a laid-back vibe. I'll definitely keep coming back.

We decided to try the pulpo anticuchero (octopus) as our starter. Holy moly it looked so amazing we didn't want to cut into it but that anticucho sauce was so full of garlic flavors we demolished it along with the potatoes and tomatoes. Listen that sauce was so tempting that we risked cyclospora disease by eating the lettuce. The soup of the day was minestrone which I'm not a fan of but it was a flavorful pesto base so I enjoyed. For my entree I got the pollo la pobre. The grilled chicken breast is always juicy and comes with a fried egg on top if you're looking to up your protein and a ton of rice that I usually cannot finish. I mainly just stuck with the fries on this one. I was so full I could barely eat the sweet plantains. The huancaina sauce (creamy mild spicy cheese sauce) goes so well with everything you will want to keep stuffing your face. Never a bad bite and the staff are always pleasant. Lunch is always a great time here.

Stepping inside, the interior had rustic stone walls and shields on display. For dinner we ordered 1x side of the roasted brussels, 1x chicken curry, and 1x corned beef & cabbage plate. Going into my review; in contrast with your standard pub restaurant, we found the quality of dishes were exceptional! I will get it out of the way that my only critique was that my corned beef was a tad on the dry side, but the flavors again did not miss! The brussels were crispy and tender while not tasting too bitter. The chicken curry easily rivals local Indian takeout as there were tender chicken cubes in a perfectly balanced sauce rich with fragrant spices, tomato, and cream! I highly enjoyed the corned beef as the creamy mustard sauce cut through the savory meat, cabbage was tender + buttery, and potatoes were crispy but fluffy! Again, I want to highlight that I thought the corned beef was a bit on the dry side, but the flavors were definitely here. Moreover, service was friendly and attentive. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at the Irish Brigade, and looking past my comments on the corned beef, would gladly give this place 5/5 stars!

The fish tacos were just alright--nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The lobster roll had good flavor but was served cold, which was a bit disappointing since I was expecting it warm. Surprisingly, the french fries were the standout: crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly the best part of the meal. Service was pretty slow. It wasn't terribly crowded, but we waited quite a while to place our order and even longer to get our food. For the price, I expected a bit more. Not a bad spot if you're already on the beach and don't mind waiting a bit. But for the cost, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

The menu is not large for American classics but they do have a sushi bar and you can order off that menu as well. We brought our infant and they were super accommodating for him and brought out a high chair that looked as if it had never been used. We got a watermelon salad, half chicken and burger (only on the lunch menu but they will make it at dinner if you ask). The salad was more than enough for 2 people to split with plenty of watermelon, avocado and goat cheese. The half chicken was well seasoned and not over cooked. Veggies and puree were tasty but definitely had more butter than I would have used at home. Burger was done appropriately and my husband liked that he could get mashed potatoes with it instead of fries. After dinner they let us keep our stuff at the table while my husband took a swim in the ocean. Just a great atmosphere and location. You definitely can't find another place that relaxing and quiet on the ocean on Palm beach.
