Went with my girl to catch a rock show near Lakeworth last night. Looking for something near by, we decided to grab dinner at the Irish Brigade! Stepping inside, the interior had rustic stone walls and shields on display. For dinner we ordered 1x side of the roasted brussels, 1x chicken curry, and 1x corned beef & cabbage plate. Going into my review; in contrast with your standard pub restaurant, we found the quality of dishes were exceptional! I will get it out of the way that my only critique was that my corned beef was a tad on the dry side, but the flavors again did not miss! The brussels were crispy and tender while not tasting too bitter. The chicken curry easily rivals local Indian takeout as there were tender chicken cubes in a perfectly balanced sauce rich with fragrant spices, tomato, and cream! I highly enjoyed the corned beef as the creamy mustard sauce cut through the savory meat, cabbage was tender + buttery, and potatoes were crispy but fluffy! Again, I want to highlight that I thought the corned beef was a bit on the dry side, but the flavors were definitely here. Moreover, service was friendly and attentive. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at the Irish Brigade, and looking past my comments on the corned beef, would gladly give this place 5/5 stars! read more

The burgers are huge and delicious. The service is consistently stunning. Love this place for a friendly gathering to watch the local game. If you smoke, outside welcomed you. This is the only issue for those who do not smoke and must make their way inside. It reminds us that Planet Earth is not perfect. Not sure if there is a fix for that without taking away the #SmokerLounge. Entertainment frequently plays. read more

This place deserves 5 stars for a few reasons- 1. They have Irish beer on draft. 2. Their fried pickles are whole spears (yum). 3. They have great live music. 4. It's a dive bar with a clean bathroom, which can be hard to find. 5. It has character unlike so many of the newer spots put in by developers. I loved the old wooden tables. We also had a great time playing darts. It was such a nice change of pace! My friends and I loved it! We'll be back. read more

We had a nice lunch here. We had been to this location previously when it was another Irish pub. It's been the Brigade now for about four months. We sat at the bar and had a nice conversation with Patrick, the bar tender. And another couple seated nearby who come here often for lunch. They had several appealing lunch specials on their lunch menu. My husband had their shepherds pie. It came in a cute ramekin with mashed potatoes and ground beef meat and veggies. He really liked it. I had their fish and chips. The haddock was beer battered along with thick cut steak fries. It too was very good. We definitely plan on coming back here. Lots more to try on their menu. read more

We have been to a previous Irish restaurant occupying this space and decided to give this "New" (to us) spot a try. A large and comfy interior, we were greeted by Patrick and invited to sit anywhere. Menus and Lunch specials in hand we looked for our favorites. Patrick poured a pint of Harps for me, my favorite, cold and delicious! I chose the Shepherd's pie Lunch and my wife wanted the Fish and Chips. A short time later our dishes arrived from the kitchen, hot and steamy! My wife enjoyed her Fish and Chips while I dug into the wonderful layers of my pie. Melted cheddar, mashed potatoes, veggies and savory ground beef! Everything was great. We got a chance to chat with a local couple, Dennis and Melodie, who told us they eat here 3 or 4 times a week. Another local arrived and Patrick greeted him by name as he sat across the bar. Good food good service! Easily added to our "visit again soon" list! (Bangers and Mashed up next!) read more

Humming sort of Irish bar at center of Main Street. Surprisingly big inside. A bit of food hall feel rather than greasy Irish bar so neither good or bad. Despite being busy easy to find table and quite quick service. Just had wings and fish dip- both fair if not exceptional. To me not very Irish (atmosphere) but not US sports bar either so would go again at a pinch but not really something to look forward to. Worth a visit for basic pub fare. read more

the food here is so slept on!! Servers and bartenders have been so friendly. I always get the bangers & mash and its consistently good! Also they have a great cider on tap (Magners) which is my safe haven as a non-beer drinker!! Ambiance is Irish pub vibes read more

Hitting far above its weight in food quality, The Irish Brigade surprised us with its stellar beer selection and satisfying dishes. Among the three of us, we ordered two chicken curries and one fish and chips. The chicken curry was swimming in a dark brown sauce that was rich and full of flavor. Big chunks of tender, perfectly cooked onions gave the dish real character--they made me realize onions can be more than just background players. The curry came with rice and soft pita wedges, and the chicken--mostly white meat--was tender and juicy. The fish and chips lived up to the hype from my friend, who's a regular. The fish was light and flaky, with a crisp, golden batter that wasn't overly oily. The fries were spot on--crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. I paired my meal with a Jai Alai IPA, which had fruity notes and just the right amount of bitterness to balance the curry. The atmosphere on a Monday night was quiet, but in a good way--ideal for a couple of beers, great food, and chatting about philosophy. Definitely worth stopping by for a relaxed, delicious meal. read more

I rate restaurant on what they are trying to be and this place is a true Irish pub. They know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness, they have music that although was rock and not folk, it was most from the Isles I had bangers and mash... and they tasted like they should (no Michelin stars will ever be awarded for bangers but this does them as they were meant to be... a way to drink more beer). And my wife had the Ruben and it was a good Ruben with great bread. Also had a great wine by the glass selection. We sat at the bar during happy hour and it was pretty full but our solo bartender never made us wait for anything and anticipated when we needed drink refills. Good spot for comfort food great service and a cool vibe. read more

Food and service to improve, food was kind of meh and probably the waiter had a bad day.

Irish pub/sports bar/restaurant that often has live music and happy hour specials. The menu has classic pub food, and several Irish classics. The food is decent and the servers are friendly, but it takes FOREVER to get your food there so please do not be in a hurry. Even when the restaurant section is empty, the food still takes quite a while. This is a great place where if you want to come sit at the bar for a few drinks and watch a game or listen to music. read more

I visited during happy hour on a Thursday night. It was pretty slow and we were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we like. The bar had a good amount of people at it and the actual table seats were empty. I will say this place must be older or maybe it's just all the wooden pieces inside but it does smell like the inside of an antique store or an old wooden house. Definitely a jarring smell at first but it goes away once you're sitting in there a little while. It did take a little bit for our server to come to our table at first and give us menus but after that she was the absolute kindest! Their happy hour includes some specialty drinks and domestic beers. My party got an espresso martini and Budweiser. They also have Coke products (not listed on their menu). To start, we got the appetizer of pickles and pretzels. The pickles were very good! The pretzels were good also, but not near as good as the pickles. It comes with 2 sauces, a beer cheese and a spicy ranch. In my opinion, the beer cheese only tasted good with the pretzel and the spicy ranch only tasted good with the pickles but that's actually probably how they're intended to be eaten anyway! The spicy ranch is definitely not that spicy at all either. For our meals, my party got the shepherd's pie, the meatloaf, and the dublin dip sandwich. They definitely do not skimp on portion size! All of our meals were delicious, really flavorful, and cooked great. My only critique would be the fries that came with the sandwich that were just plain. I would love them to add some type of seasoning to them in the future to make them more than just plain steak fries, but it's not like they were bad either. Overall, pretty great restaurant! read more

The "3 stars" is only for last nights meal and 2 points that should be given attention. We still love this place and will continue to frequent. My wife ordered the Mahi again last night as it's her favorite. However it had a "fishy" smell and the meat was actually brown! The bartender took it back and said it had been from a "new vendor". Unacceptable for the highest priced meal on the menu for sure. Now for the recommendations: the ladies restroom is still awful, update it, keep it clean and it will make a difference. Always have a manager there, not just for special events and not just during the day! read more

Our first time here for dinner and we will definitely be back. Both food and service were excellent. Portions were large and took some home for the next day. More often than not, we are disappointed when we try someplace new. Happy this wasn't the case. read more

First time here definitely not the last!!! Hubby had Fish & Chips whereas I ordered Shepherds Pie. Both were great. Only thing I would change is ensuring that ale on tap "Guinness" is served in ice cold class instead of plastic. As for service Chloe is great. A definite pub feel. read more

We just happened to be in the south looking for some places to eat. This place came up when we searched for Fish and Chips. This restaurant is in a lovely neighborhood on Lake Avenue in Lake Worth. The street is full of restaurants and shops and bars. It's lovely to sit outside on a cool day with the sun shining. The young men working there are friendly and welcoming. The menu has quite a choice of beer and drinks and a wide selection of Irish and English food. We had the Bangers and Mash and Cornbeef and Cabbage. The food is excellent! Worth a stop to try the food and enjoy the ambiance. read more

Of the numerous restaurant options available to you in Lake Worth, this one should be dead last on your list. Being a party of 8, arriving at 9:30 on a Friday night we waited to be sat but when no help (or even greeting) was forthcoming, we sat ourselves. Cue another 10 minute wait with no menus, no drinks, not even an "I'll be right over" until we got up and found a server. We ordered drinks, but they were out of ingredients to make not one, but two of their featured specialty cocktails. Then we ordered food but guess what, they were out of the appetizer we wanted too. The food we did manage to get was tasty and came out pretty fast but our server never came back to ask if everything was okay and definitely didn't stop by for drink refills. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

This is an Irish inspired place & definitely meets the mark in decor. There were enough people there, but all at the bar, which was a bit iffy for us as no one was eating & we were there for early dinner. Sooo glad we stayed because the food was on point! From the reuben eggrolls to the green pasta dish - but to the best thing - the Shepards pie. Fantastic!!! Our waitress was awesome. We had a great time! If we're in the area again, we'd be more inclined to go as a couple or with friends rather than family. Slainte! read more

I don't have any complaints but nothing really stood out to me either. It was a bit disappointing that they didn't really have any mocktails or anything to cater to sober diners but that's fine. Our server was nice and efficient while also being cautious to not rush us. I had the French dip and my friend had the Ruben. Our sandwiches were fine but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed the fries, they are big steak fries and I enjoy that style. We went early around 5 when it was slow and quiet but passed by again later and it was LOUD! If you like loud music and a party type of vibe you will probably like this! read more

Apples to apples, The Irish Brigade has the best bar food in Lake Worth, Florida. It's two bars in one. There's the original bar at the front, that had a great pub ambiance, and the sprawling back bar, with even more big screen TVs for big events, a massive whiskey bar, and a common place for local group meetings. Love the French Dip, the Bangers and Mash, and the pretzels and fried pickles. It's a spot for English Premiere league and other International matches and InterMiamiCF matches as an official bar. Service is friendly and plentiful. Parking is street. read more

Went on a Wednesday evening an hour before happy hour was done. Good price on happy hour drinks and some good happy hour bar bites on menu. I had the Sheppard pie and it hit the spot! So I rated this a bit higher than I normally would have because I really hate giving bad reviews. We stopped by on a Sunday Afternoon and they had live music... well, you could call it music but that might be a stretch. They had several groups of what looked like high school kids playing hard rock. I know that I am getting older but to say I wasn't a fan is an understatement. The musicians playing the instruments were really talented, but the singers, not so much. They were mostly just loud and more screaming than singing. Now I know how Simon Cowell felt during most of American Idol Tryouts. Most of the singers were rather flat and many times off key. I do give them credit for showing up and really putting their hearts into the show even though I bet most of the screaming fans were their parents. We were sitting at the bar and still had trouble getting the Bartender's attention. They did make a good Snakebite (Harp & Strong Bow) but other things just really weren't up to snuff. The service was so so at best. It was supposed to be happy hour and my date ordered a Spiked Strawberry Arnold Palmer that was on the happy hour menu. They didn't skimp on the alcohol but they failed to mention that Tito's was their happy hour vodka... like it matters when your putting it in with Strawberry Lemonade and Tea... Instead they put in some top shelf vodka. We are not vodka snobs and wouldn't have cared if it would have been Tito's but when the drink is twice the price you were expecting, well, it leaves a bit of a bad taste in your mouth. It seemed to take forever to get our food and it wasn't like they were swamped. Maybe it is just hard to find good help these days. The Ruben Sandwich wasn't very warm, a bit dry and just OK. The fry's were definitely not very warm. At least the place had lots of people and energy. I would give them another shot but it is just not someplace I would make a special trip for. read more

Came in during happy hour on a Monday so the place was quiet. This location has been here forever but I think they recent changed owners but still Irish themed. The restaurant was clean and my server was attentive. I decided on the Fish and chips and I was not disappointed. It was lightly battered and the fish was tender and flaky, served with a side of steak fries. I didn't even need to ask for malt vinegar as the server brought it. It would've been much better if it came with a small side of slaw to cut all the fried-ness but the tartar would do. This dish at the time of writing is $20 and is considered the dinner portion, which I was only able to finish half. They do have a happy hour menu of this item for $9 between 2-8pm, ordered and eaten at the bar only, which would have been a better option for me next time. Slightly larger than half the order but possibly YMMV. Would come back to try their other items. read more

Best bar in downtown Lake Worth. The live bands they have are usually very good and entertaining. For how busy the place is, they do a great job with keeping it clean. Depending on what mood you're in coming in, the place is extremely accommodating. If you want to just sit and chill, they have tons of tables. If you don't want the noise from the bands, they have a huge back bar area where it is much quieter, or you can hang at the front bar and throw a few back while listening/dancing to the music. If it's a beautiful day/night and want to sit outside, you can do that too and you can still see/hear the bands. The bartenders are super friendly, fun and quick. They really make it a great experience. Prices are reasonable. I don't really eat much when I'm there since I go later on after the kitchen closes but I have gotten their wings and Irish Egg Rolls before which were very good. Other people who told me they've eaten their other stuff said the food is very good. Over the last few years, downtown Lake Worth overall has gotten so much better to go and hangout. Very underrated. read more
