Apparently newly renovated, funky decor with an art gallery on the wall (I think you can buy the art) Modern Italian cuisine expertly delivered Tuesday features a superb British brother and sister due who perform fine classical pop tunes (read The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Sade etc) I can't get enough of the Rigatoni Bolognese The staff are great, the location is open to the cool December Florida air and it is an all round great spot with very reasonable prices Try it - you will not be disappointed

We were looking for something new to try and decided to give the restaurant a shot. When my husband and I went in on a Sunday night, I was surprised that there wasn't many people there. It actually turned out to be kind of nice since we didn't have to deal with a busy and hungry crowd. The meatballs with ricotta cheese was a good start and the iceberg wedge salad was next on the menu. The salad was topped with Italian dressing with gorgonzola dolce along with walnuts, pears, balsamic reduction, and raspberry coulis. This is something I normally wouldn't get, but everything went well together and all the flavors balanced themselves nicely. When I had pear pasta for the first time ever, I always told myself to always get it if it's on the menu at a restaurant. I got the Beggar's Purse (what a excellent name!) and Chris got the Al Fresco pizza. The pasta was stuffed with cheeses and pears sitting on top of creamy sage sauce and truffle oil. I heart the dish! The pizza was good and had more evoo than anticipated on it. The service was great from start to finish. Our waiter came back continuously and made sure we had what we needed. There wasn't any rush and we enjoyed all the delicious food. Most of it was too pretty to touch, but that's what pictures are for and we indulged in each dish after the camera did its work ;) What a lovely dinner!

    Med rare 8oz filet mignon

We made a reso for Valentines. Brandon was our server and traded to all of our needs. The drinks were great but the filet mignon was to die for!!! Cooked perfectly med rare and the bf had the salmon. We both truly enjoyed this patio ambiance.

The vibe is super cool, cozy seating, great ambience, dim lighting that feels like a hidden gem. I sat on the comfy couch and ordered sushi from OKA, which was honestly better than ever. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were delicious too; strong, creative, and exactly what I wanted for a chill night out. I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. Fix those things, and this place could be amazing. Hoping it was just a one-off bad night!

I asked for a brandy and seven which they said they don't have brandy so I asked for a jack and Sprite. She grabbed a tall glass and I asked for a short so she gave me a glass that they call a shot glass in here. It was a 4 ounce glass and when she started a pour, she said she could only fit half the liquor in it with a little bit of Sprite to give me where I asked for what would cost me the same price. I asked her then to put it in a tall glass and just don't put as much spray. She did, but it still tasted like a normal mixed drink with a lot of Sprite at eight dollars in a dive bar at 7:15 pm. She didn't want to agree anything of what I was saying for accommodate me with the lack of liquor in the drink. She explained that the bar was just taken over a couple years ago so it's changed. Probably might have. It's the same disgusting floor, ceiling, bathrooms, and moldy ceiling tiles as always!

Parking is tight, but that's because it's a deceptively large inside! If you want a lively bar vibe, they have that. If you'd prefer something quieter and view the channel they've got that. The food is prepared to order, and the menu is extensive. If you're getting a soup get ready because the servings are VERY generous. And if you get a bowl, it could even serve as a meal. We got the chowder and it was fantastic! The menu features specials on certain days and it was a fish fry night. It truly is unlimited, but if it's busy (which it is a popular place) do expect some wait times. So enjoy the company and prepare for a filling evening with friendly staff and great food. The pricing is very reasonable for what you get, and it's definitely worth a stop in.

It was hot AF so we walked in with every intention of a cold beer and in the cold AC, but sadly the noise level from multiple tables even surpassed the music coming from the bar and we were forced to seek respite outside under the chickee. The hive is apparently dog friendly and judging by the party with a laundry basket full of yapping , they don't care much if your dogs are well behaved or not. The food was passable, though barely. Onion rings and chicken wings were both crispy, but, ordering the wings 'medium' found them sitting in a barely pink spice free ooze. Fried fish fingers were perfectly cooked but the choice of Basa as a fish tells you all you need to know about the ingredient quality here, which is doubly surprising given how expensive this menu is for the offerings... Blackened chicken nachos tasted like someone poured the frozen bag of chicken right into the plate for heating. The unripe tomato & corn salsa wasn't even enough to bring these things up to par and we left 3/4 on the plate. Beer was cold but service was so slow as to be non existent, and when she was present there was no personality at all, meanwhile other tables had constant attention. I had actually heard their desserts are good but after this debacle of a meal we weren't gonna risk it...

We made reservations and received a call with information about the restaurant, dress code, parking instructions, etc. Definitely a unique touch and something I hadn't seen before. The DJ spinning records behind the bar created such a fun atmosphere. He went from reggae, to 80's, 90's, and contemporary throughout the night, which was cool. We started with their version of an old fashion (forget the name) and the passion fruit mocktail. The old fashion was delicious. The mocktail was ok, very syrupy. We ordered the ceviche and beet salad. The beet salad was original, innovative, and delicious. Ceviche was very good but tasted a little fishy. We decided to split the short rib entree. It was very good (8.75/10). Maybe a little sweet for my taste but a solid dish paired with a tamarind sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. We had the carrot cake for dessert and it was solid as well. The wait felt a little long from the bar and the kitchen to get our food and drink, but we were willing to overlook. The owner was very kind and warmly introduced himself. We may return for a drink and to hear the music in the future!
