We came for lunch. We'd been to this location before, but not since it became the Lantern. It's looks pretty much the same inside, except for a new back room that reminded me of a luncheonette. We sat at the bar in the front. We looked at their lunch menu but nothing really appealed. There was only one gal eating in -- having a sandwich and later two ladies vane for drinks and shared a sandwich. My husband had the Monday meatloaf. He liked it enough to take half home. It came with mashed potatoes and nothing else. I got an order of chicken wings Korean bbq style. I asked if they could do all flats. When they arrived, they weren't. The wings were good. I asked about getting carrots and celery and they gave me a few pieces of each. Prices are a little high. I'm assuming that's why the place was empty at lunchtime. I'm glad we came. Now we know.

Ribs, boneless wings and onion rings.

Definitely a local joint. We went Thursday night, which they have trivia night, small place loud speakers. What was cool is that you actually win stuff, from Jell-O shots to $150 gift card as the top prize. We Waited 35 minutes for ribs, chicken nuggets and onion rings?? Cudos on the ribs and onion rings though. Nuggets were meh. Service was ok. Will go again since it is so close to my home and try the burger, saw one go by and looked appetizing.

Irish cream bread pudding

Here for early St Patrick's day celebration. New management since our last visit. Irish car bombs great. The Shepards pie and Irish Pub fries were fantastic. The Irish cream bread pudding with Jameson caramel off the charts.

Friday night special -full rack of ribs for $15!

Friday night full rack of ribs special for $15 was delicious; the ribs were meaty and tender with lots of sauce (may consider getting sauce on the side next time)! The fries and onion rings were crispy and really good. The inside is like a real tavern; dark, comfy booths and bar, with TVs and pool tables. The service was excellent and the bathrooms were clean. We'll definitely be going back.

I keep coming back and this place keeps almost making the grade. Wings were crispy and perfectly cooked but they should be served in a bowl, dripping with sauce, not laid out delicately on a plate like Lantana is now some pinkies out fine dining... Be advised : All menu prices are set at "cash price" yet paying with a card adds a 3% customer service charge to all sales...

I'm not usually one for the tavern environment, but this place was pleasantly surprising! The waitress I had was probably the sweetest woman ever. She checked on us constantly, refilled our waters before they emptied, and was so helpful. I can't remember the last time I've had such a friendly hostess! The environment is also very unique. The front of the restaurant is diner style. Really gets you in the mood for a good breakfast! The second room made me feel like I was in a ballroom or a fancy room in an old film. Very simple but elegant. I absolutely loved it! The third room I didn't venture into, but it was a sports bar looking room! I think it's awesome that a spot can have so many different ambiances simultaneously. The food was also delicious. I wasn't too sure of what to order because there aren't too many photos on Yelp, so I went with the chicken sandwich lunch special. It was an actual whole chicken breast on a fresh bun, topped with a great portion of lettuce, tomato, and onion. The fries were crispy, and I even got a side of honey mustard that tasted like they make it in the house. This was a great spot for lunch and I can imagine it would be just as wonderful for breakfast or dinner. Definitely going to be back!

Korean bbq Half Dozen Bone-in Wings

DE-LISH! Talk about fall of the bone. The rib fingers were some of the best I've had! And the Mac n cheese tasted like it was made from scratch. Highly recommend if you're looking for a gourmet bite :) Beware: mostly everything is a la carte. We were offered celery and blue cheese with our wings thinking it was included (since we were offered) and ended up having to pay extra.

As a big fan of LILO's in Lake Worth I was excited to check out that group's newest offering Lantern Local Tavern during breakfast on their opening weekend! The hostess was very friendly and offered us the last comfy booth in the kitchen area. This area probably won't be for everyone, but i enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and seeing all the food being plated up at the window and then whisked off to its final destination. I peeked at the menu online and knew the only choice for me was going to be the Cinnamon Toast Crunch crusted French toast (the Cereal French Toast on the menu) with a sweetened condensed milk glaze generously poured on top! It was very good. I thought I'd need syrup too, but no...the French toast was well cooked but not dry and the sweetened condensed milk topping was plenty to keep it sweet and gooey (how I like it)! The menu is teasing a "coming soon" brunch buffet and all you can drink mimosas...so yeah...I'll be back for that!

I was visiting family in the area, and we heard that Lantern was a Bills Backers bar. Being from Buffalo, we were so excited to hear this! We stopped in for brunch this last Sunday and everything was great. The menu is large, the food was excellent and the service was wonderful. We will be back!!

Lantern Burger with onion rings

We wanted a burger and gave this place a try. We used to come to the Hive when it was located here. The decor inside the dining area is very dark, and the chairs and tables are cozy. The bar was packed with what looked like regulars. Barbara was our server and she was great, although she didn't inform us of the mayonnaise up charge and the extra 3% service charge. The burgers came out quickly and looked good. Two slices of tomato and a nice portion of cheese, lettuce, and pickles. However, there was no sauce. I asked for mayonnaise so I could create my own sauce. I didn't think it would be $1.18 for a condiment.. oh well. Beers were cold and the onion rings I added on were crispy and tasty. The problem was the burger. It didn't have much flavor and the color of it was very light. I started to question the beef in my mind and then I couldn't eat any more. Probably a one and done for us.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, creating a comfortable setting for our meal. I ordered the key lime chicken tacos, which were slightly spicy but very flavorful. The beer‑battered onion rings were exceptionally crispy and delicious. My friend chose the fried grouper sandwich with fries and commented that it was very good and impressively not greasy. For dessert, I tried the key lime pie with a pecan crust. While I appreciated the creativity, it wasn't my favorite. I found the crust less appealing, and the filling could have used a bit more tartness to achieve that classic key lime balance. Despite the dessert not meeting my expectations, the overall dining experience was enjoyable, and the quality of the food and atmosphere made for a pleasant lunch.

We started with the fish dip, which was heavy on the mayo. Not one of the better ones we've had but it was alright. The dinner really wasn't very good. I got the blackened mahi sandwich with fries. Fries were soggy and the mahi was over-salted. My wife had the tacos and she said they were only ok. The side of rice she got was overcooked until crispy. Our server, Alfred, however, was great, and made sure we were having a good time. We'll come back for a slice of pie and/or drinks, but the entrees were disappointing.

The vibe is super cool, cozy seating, great ambience, dim lighting that feels like a hidden gem. I sat on the comfy couch and ordered sushi from OKA, which was honestly better than ever. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were delicious too; strong, creative, and exactly what I wanted for a chill night out. I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. Fix those things, and this place could be amazing. Hoping it was just a one-off bad night!

She didn't want to agree anything of what I was saying for accommodate me with the lack of liquor in the drink. She explained that the bar was just taken over a couple years ago so it's changed. I thought both choices were good, but did not taste the tamarind flavor at all and the short ribs portion was small for the price. The salad had a kick because of the scotch bonnets and tear drop peppers, and I loved the use of bread fruit for croutons; it was an interesting spin on a Caesar salad. There is a Caribbean influence in the entire menu, a nod to the owner's origins. We finished with the carrot cake which was delicious and big enough to split between our group of three. As for service , I give them 5 stars. Very warm and attentive staff who checked on us often. I would come back here to enjoy another evening :)

It was fresh and zesty. The others loved the thanksgiving empanada which was basically an empanada with turkey and cranberry, etc. Tuna poke was also loved. The tallow fries tasty but I liked the regular ones better. But basically everyone loved all the fries. Entrees were just mediocre. The French dip would, have been nice but the beef was too thick and overcooked and the roll was thick and doughy. The cheese shouldn't be on a French dip at all, but even more so when it was congealed and not melted. Skip this one. The tacos were decent though. The snapper was really good but a little overcooked and seriously over salted. No room for dessert. Love the bar because they accommodated a silly pisco sour request with a humorous creative twist!
