Walking into World Famous I was not quite sure of what to expect. I am not necessarily a fan of egg rolls. The ambiance is about what you would expect from a sort of upscale fast food venue. The graphic wallpaper is a little out dated in my opinion, however, there is plentiful seating. I ordered a seafood egg roll and a bbq brisket egg roll with an Arnold Palmer. The egg roll itself is just about the perfect amount of crispy yet flavorful. The seafood supreme is well portioned with shrimp, imitation crab, and some lobster. Paired with a "yin-yang" sauce I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely order again. The beef bbq brisket egg-roll in my opinion did not really do it for me. There was not the biggest portion of brisket within and i felt that it was more mac and cheese than brisket. It was also topped with a sweet golden bbq sauce which in my opinion would have been better if it was not as sweet and a bit more tangy. Unfortunately, the manager tonight appeared to be in a poor mood and treated the guests and myself in a bit of a rude manner. Overall, I would return. The food was filling and overall well-portioned. I'm honestly sad to write this, because this used to be one of my favorite quick stops in Boynton. The place is still spotless -- seriously, one of the cleanest food spots around -- and the staff has always been friendly, polite, and quick to help. That part hasn't changed at all, and I really appreciate that. What has changed, unfortunately, is the food. The egg rolls used to be packed with flavor, hot, crispy, and fresh every time. Lately though, they've been bland, a little greasy, and just not what they used to be. Even the sauces taste different. You can tell something's off, whether it's the ingredients or the prep. It's disappointing because you can see the potential is still there -- the place is clean, the team works hard, and the presentation is still solid. The woman at the counter taking orders is a gem! She has a wonderful personality! The food on the other hand was very disappointing! This was my first (and last) visit. I ordered a seafood and a philly cheesesteak. The seafood was barely ok, pretty tasteless, greasy wrapper so we ate only some of the filling, mostly fake crab, hardly any shrimp and definitely no lobster. The cheesesteak was inedible. The wrapper very greasy and meat so greasy, no flavor at all. Philly Cheesesteaks are made with onions, none present. We wanted Tzaziki and Cilantro sauces, unfortunately they were not available. I first came across World Famous many years back at the Wellington Food Truck event and then they opened this location in Boynton Beach (it has been here now for a few years). They have a large selection of unique eggrolls that can satisfy anyone's appetite. They are also well known for their amazing Strawberry Lemonade, it's sooo good. Their Chicken & Red Velvet Waffles are amazing!!! But my favorite menu items are the Korean BBQ Beef & BBQ Pulled Pork Eggrolls. The Cubano Eggrolls is also quite delish. Since this is close to my house I opted to grab a you pick 2 egg roll option to go. I got the Philly cheese and brisket with a strawberry lemonade to go. To my surprise the drink was slushy like with real pieces of strawberries that hit the spot. I also got my fries garlic parm style which were the best fries I've had for some time. Nice, crunchy and slathered with buttery Parmesan. The brisket egg roll was my favorite with Mac n cheese inside topped with a bbq sauce. I love Chinese egg rolls. I think the casing may be the second most ingeniously tasty edible packaging concept--after the sugar wafer ice cream cone, of course. So imagine my excitement upon finding this brilliant south Florida restaurant that serves over 20 different kind of egg rolls from Asian (yum to Korean BBQ) to Mexican and Italian (lasagna!). The place has all the charm of a Queens (NYC) pizza parlor. The service is abysmally slow. It's name presumptively pretentious. The presentation of the signature egg rolls in clear plastic clam shell containers is disappointingly low rent. But the egg rolls? The egg rolls themselves are to die for. They are served piping hot. The casings are fried to a crispy perfection; the chewy crunch is satisfying between gnashing molars. They egg rolls are served cut in half on a long bias. The interior contents have been cleverly stuffed so they yield an artful, sushi-like quality when presented. Oh; and you get two large egg rolls, plenty for a meal, for $11.31. Why there aren't more of this restaurant concept I don't know. This was one of the most fun and tasty meals I've had in years. I'll be back a lot. read more

First let me preface by stating this is a place we go to often and usually order the BBQ pork egg rolls (hello Mac n cheese!) And the wing and fries combo. We called back and the person answering the phone didn't seem to understand what we were ordering and than put us on another hold so we hung up. Feeling ambitious, I called another time and got half my order in before I was placed on hold for another 5 minutes. We said screw it. This may seem like a strange review. We came for their famous "taste of the world" egg rolls -- so many different combos -- and fell in love with their chicken wings. Go figure. We'd ordered their "mix n match" -- where you get to choose two different stuffed egg rolls. After reading some other reviews and discussing what we felt like sharing, we got their Philly cheese steak and their bbq pulled pork ones. Each came with a couple sauces in each small container -- half and half filled -- which we also mixed and matched by dipping. The portion was large -- each roll cut into two pieces so it was easy to share. Of the rolls, I liked the cheese steak one the best. I like my cheese steak without onions so there was no problem whatsoever that it didn't have any. I also liked the bbq pork, too -- but if I had to choose between the two, steak it is. At the last minute I added in a half dozen chicken wings. I requested them well done with lemon pepper. This turned into a great idea. The wings were dry and crispy and oh so lemony. At the bottom of the container was a bit of the marinade -- that we fought over -- to dip our wings in. I'd gotten some blue cheese as my side (you had the option of that or ranch dressing), but we wound up dipping the steak roll in it instead of the wings. I'd get these wings again in a heartbeat! Most people were doing takeout when we were there. And your order is packed for takeout -- even though, like us, you might be eating inside. They have some lunch specials and even some salads, if you must. The breakfast choices were unexpected. Southern style items like chicken and waffles or shrimp and grits, et al. And some of the sides are so intriguing -- seafood fritters or sriracha fries, for example. This food truck turned restaurant is a keeper. I wasn't sure what to expect from it since we did a quick search for dinner on the app and this place popped up second on the list. The menu has different types of egg rolls, wonton bowls, wings, desserts, and smoothies. It has an unique concept with a twist on the menu items. They were out of the wonton bowls when I went on a Saturday night, so I went for the BBQ pulled pork egg rolls. It had macaroni and cheese mixed in with the pork and I got to say that it was great despite how different it was from an usual egg roll. The strawberry lemonade beverage was in a bigger cup size than expected and I wish that I was able to finish the delicious drink. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our food, which wasn't too bad and the decent service was up to par. We got our food to go and the dining room wasn't open due to the pandemic. I received something completely different so I asked if I May have gotten the wrong order and she says NO so then I asked then what is it that I'm about to eat cause there's a red sauce dripping all over everything? I've never seen such variety of options when it comes to egg rolls! I asked the worker at the counter what's popular and she recited the whole menu which made the decision a bit challenging but I ended up getting the brisket with mac/cheese and shrimp with veggie egg rolls. I took them to go and was surprised when I saw they came with fries! This was really decadent, something you'd get at a carnival stand or in an amusement park. Now, as a Brick and Mortar eatery they are offering some really fantastic Egg Rolls and more... We chose their mix and match egg rolls Cheese Steak along with a Barbecue pulled pork with mac and cheese inside. Both were good with the paired dipping sauces that came with each roll. I believe that we both liked the Steak and Cheese roll the best... but even greater, the Lemon Pepper Chicken wings were the best! They also offer a variety of Breakfast dishes as well as home made desserts. Cakes, such as Red Velvet Dream Cake, 7up Iced pound cake, Banana pudding Cream cheese cake, were the ones that caught my interest (will have to try on our visit!) I am still trying to figure out what all the hype is about though, because the food was good but it wasn't spectacular. The cashier was friendly and helpful but my order came out wrong, it wasn't a big deal since everything was fixed immediately which was cool. I had the Korean Beef egg roll but I was a bit let down. The beef was dry and the egg roll was missing the rice and they were out of the Korean sauce. I wound up only eating a small piece because why waste the calories on something your not crazy about, right? The yin yang dipping sauce was excellent. The honey garlic wings were good but I liked the medium ones better. I never received any celery but the blue cheese was good, probably out of a bottle but still good. I want to try a different egg roll next time, maybe the seafood one. The medium wing sauce was very good, it wasn't overly spicy, it was just perfect. I want to say they are located on the NW corner of Gateway and Congress, near the IHOP and in the same plaza as the Career College. Limited outside seating & plenty of parking. read more

I've been a World Famous customer for years. Both the restaurants as well as the food truck. I'm honestly surprised I've overlooked reviewing this place before. I generally order the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls with the ying yang sauce. These are hands down my favorite egg rolls on the menu. I also enjoy their specialty fries with the parmesan cheese on them (FYI they are extremely greasy). While at work yesterday I decided to order lunch through Ubereats and World Famous was on my mind. I decided to venture from my usual order so I ordered the Buffalo chicken eggrolls (the menu said they were 'new') and the Seafood Deluxe (crab, lobster and shrimp - additional $1.85) mix and match option. The buffalo chicken eggrolls were the bomb, OK! I will be ordering those again. Not too spicy but just enough of a kick to really give it flavor. However, the Seafood Deluxe eggrolls were terrible. I understand the impact a review and/or allegation against a restaurant can have but this eggroll needs to be taken off the menu until they can guarantee FRESH seafood. I do not make the following comments lightly but I have to be honest: The eggroll did not have an off-putting smell, but once I took my first bite, I knew something was off about the crab meat used. So much to the extent I had to literally wash my mouth out to keep from gagging from the taste. This issue prompted me to begin pulling the eggroll apart and I could not find ANY lobster in the eggroll at all. The shrimp was overcooked tremendously. I was sick to my stomach from just one bite of that crab meat for about 3 hours. I will never order seafood in an eggroll from World Famous again. This was a super disappointing experience and it will not make me stop eating here, however, I will be more careful about what I decide to try on the menu. read more

The wings are the size of a peanut - way too small and alot of black spots all over wings. The employees response was that these are the new vendors they buy chicken from. Located in the plaza where Florida Career College is located off of Gateway and Congress, World Famous makes amazing variations of egg rolls. I decided to behave like a gluttonous maniac and ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and Southern Soul Train egg rolls, which were incredibly magical and delicious. What I didn't finish, I enjoyed the next day for lunch, and it was glorious. The Seafood Mac and Cheese... oh good lord... Yes, yes, and more yes. Did I say, "yes"? YES! They make it with penne and a good heaping of seafood (crab, shrimp, I think I tasted scallops). So rich and creamy.
