Hello all, I have to say I truly enjoy La Granja!! The good: fire roasted chicken is amazing it reminds me of El Pollo Loco I used to enjoy in California. The rice is light and fluffy and the black beans have a great flavor. The girls up front are amazibg, friendly and engaging. which is nice and they help me with my spanish. The price is affordable and well worth it. The bad: had an issue with a manager lady who lied after telling me she would take care of an issue I had with forgotten food. When i called to follow up she blew me off and lied to the other manager said I was threatening and she didn't promise to make things right? So when she blew me off I called back and I played back our call to her, she promtly hung up on me mod sentance which was hilarious. The ugly: again the above was pretty bad with a supposed manager lying amd making up sh*t for no other reason other than to cover her own @$$ which wasn't necessary. Also the bathrooms could use a remodel as well. Though I am happy I gave them a second chance. And the new manager seems to be a good guy and gives me salsa for my miso salmon. This location is one worth driving for. They always are on point. We got take out of five meals, everything cooked perfectly with nothing missing. They have a sauce and onion bar which is a must go inside to try if you have never been there before. It was perfectly clean and so were the tables. Glad we had such a nice time. read more

Horrible DoorDash pickup experience. The employees had already closed for the night and marked my pickup order as complete, even though they never called to let me know they were closing soon or that I needed to be on my way. When I arrived, the door was locked, and I had to knock on the glass while they all stared at me like I was crazy, even though they knew they had my order and that was likely why I was there. When one of them finally came to open the door, she abruptly asked if I was there for a pickup order, and I said yes. She then handed me the food without the green sauce, even though I had clearly requested it in the order and verbally confirmed upon arrival that I wanted it. The employee responded, "we already put everything away." That should not have mattered, especially since I included it in the order and asked again before leaving. Sure enough, there was no green sauce. I am unable to eat their dry, flavorless chicken without it, so now I have food without the condiments and ingredients that make it edible. What makes this worse is that they were apparently in such a rush to close, yet they were slow to leave and all stood outside together when someone could have simply gone back in to get what I had already paid for. Everytime my wife goes here and asks for a whole chicken with dark meat only, it is never a problem. Whenever I do, they tell me no. The latest time was just this evening, with their excuse being "we close in an hour." What does that have to do with me getting what I actually want? We were heading to the Boynton mall and figured we should have some lunch prior to shopping. We have been here before so I was surprised to see I didn't already have a review of this location. La Granja is a Peruvian food chain, but it's most known for its inexpensive roast chicken lunch special dishes. We have been to a few different branches including in Margate and off the highway in Fort Pierce. Some locations are better than others. This location seems newly remodeled since we were here last. Everything is very clean and modern. They serve Pepsi products and here you help yourself to fountain drinks. At one of the other locations, drinks are in cans only and you can get Materva and other Latin favorites. We usually get the half roast chicken so did the same here. We requested white meat only, so they serve two chicken quarters (a breast with wing attached on each piece) along with rice (we prefer yellow to white), a few plantains (sweet maduros), and a cup of black beans. We shared the meal. You can get your extra plate by the condiments table. By the way they also give you real silverware along with china plates. Speaking of the condiments table -- they have four different type of onions including one with jalapeños that my husband likes. They also have sauces in squeeze bottles including hot, garlic, and vinaigrette. But there are packets of bbq sauce should you wish that, too. The chicken is cooked well. The skin crispy. The rice perfect as well as the black beans. The plantains are soft and sweet. It's a bargain for two for under $10. Oh, and it includes one drink as well. Chicken, Rice and Chaufa Pollo. OKAY. While there was nothing bad about the Chicken a 1/4 portion is a minimal serving. Nothing special about the Rice and Beans with them being traditional fare. Opted for Yellow Rice for visual appeal not differing from White Rice in taste. For $8.20 the meal wasn't worth it. Could've gotten a better PUBLIX Rotisserie Chicken under $8 with a flavor option of Barbecue, Lemon Pepper or Mojo as a choice. The Chaufa Pollo or Chicken Fried Rice was adequate too. A large serving at $13.95 but I probably could've got a Quart Of Fried Rice from a Chinese Take-out for $10. Came to LA GRANJA for a different food experience which is more of a fast-food Restaurant that specializes in Rotisserie Chicken and PERUVIAN fare. LA GRANJA was established on the island nation of ARUBA in 1993. Soon afterwards in 1995 they expanded into South FLORIDA and are supposedly recognized as the largest PERUVIAN Restaurant chain outside of PERU. There are at least 40 locations in the state. Today I came to this establishment at 9 pm to eat dinner. My yellow rice was cold and after asking to get it change, they told me that they didn't have anymore. The manager offered me white rice but never even apologized. The sauces and everything was being put away for the night, and it seems that they wanted to rush everyone in order to close the restaurant at 10 on the dot. I have been a fan of this small, regional chain of restaurants for years. Today I stopped in their Boynton Beach location for a quick lunch. This time I opted for their bowl (a new product offering). ve been coming here for years and unfortunately now that a man named LUIS has been hired service has gone completely down the drain. Everytime income i realize the lines take linger and the food orders are often wrong or missing items when he is the one at the window. Aside from this my experience today was beyond unacceptable. Im 5 months pregnant, extremely sick and have been vomiting all day. I passed by here right before closing to get a soup. I arrived at 9:49 to see everything was off and theyre cleaning. Inpulled to the window and asked for a soup and he told me they were closed. I said no you close at 10 i really need this soup i feel terrible and you have no reason to have shut down any earlier than usual. He then proceeded to tell me that i was the most inconsiderate person he had ever met and that i must not work to have the audacity to come so late. He then shouted if you know we close at ten why didnt you come earlier?! I dont need to come earlier to order something that is premade and sitting in a vat. He then told me they close at ten but the kitchen closes before then. So if thats the case why isnt it stated anywhere? On the door it clearly states 10. The way he treated me was beyond unacceptable and offensive. I came here to try and sooth my stomach and instead was insulted and humiliated by luis. As someone who eats here three times a week for several years i will never spend another dollar here. That mans behavior was absolutely disgusting. read more

Got take out here on my recent trip to Florida. It's not a fancy place, however it's good, hot, quick Peruvian food.

I love la granja. It is a good quality, affordable lunch or dinner for all. You can get fish, roasted chicken, steak, etc. I have yet to try their fish sandwich because I am not too sure about how it tastes but one day! They have THE BEST bananas/plantains. 9/10 times they will be cooked to perfection. Their white rice is great but I prefer the yellow rice. Mix it with the black beans and squeeze some fresh limes, tear up pieces of chicken or steak and throw it in and mix it all up, so good!!! Definitely go here for lunch specials they have one for a 1/4 chicken with sides and no drink for like $5.25, talk about a deal! read more

I love Peruvian food thanks to discovering Lomo Saltado. Which is a beef and vegetable stir fry served with white or yellow rice over french fries. Yes I said "over fries". You won't be disappointed in this dish. They have a great selection of chicken and fish dishes , as well. For dessert the tres leches and flan are the bomb. Two stain rating for this stomach churning slop house. To be clear I've given La Granja plenty of opportunities to redeem itself. Once upon a time there was decent meals to be had but those days are long gone. This recent experience is as cold and dry in vocabulary as the food that was eaten. It plain sucked. The boiled Yucca must have been sitting out under a heat lamp since the place opened. Dry, cold and well, straight crap. My boneless chicken breast platter was overdone, as usual. The wife's 1/2 chicken, dark meat, was moist and edible; about the only redeeming part of the meal. What else can I say. For $20 plus I would of rather gone someplace else but shame on me. Hmm. I happen to give it a chance last night. I was starving and ended up getting something to go through the drive thru. The service was kind of slow and it took over 10 minutes to receive my order. I didn't think it was going to take that long to get a popcorn chicken with black beans and rice. The cashier didn't even come over to tell me that it was going to take that long. There was three cars that came up behind me and they all were waiting about 5 minutes or more. I'm sure they were wondering what was taking so long as well. When I got home and opened it up, I didn't realize that the portion was going to be huge. So maybe it was worth the wait. Then I took a bite of the chicken. It wasn't too bad, but I liked the black beans and white rice better. Some of the chicken was not chewy, so about 30% of it went in the trash. The black beans went great with the rice and I was surprised that the chicken turned out the way it did. For a cost of 8 bucks, I guess I shouldn't expect too much, right? I was hoping for a better turn out. I won't be returning any time soon. Maybe it wasn't a good time to swing by last night or maybe the staff wasn't eager to be there. I can't speak for what happen except what I got and how it tasted. I didn't think it was going to take that long in the drive thru. For a fast food spot this place is pretty good. I was looking for something savory and can hold me over for a night out. I didn't have time to go to an actual restaurant but I also didn't want typical fast food. I ordered the seafood gumbo and I was impressed with the amount of seafood that was in it. There was obviously more white fish than anything but shrimp, mussels, and calamari was included. There was yellow rice in the bottom of the soup so it was good to mix before eating so that you could get a bite of everything. The gumbo was also piping hot and took almost a hour before I could enjoy eating it. Overall for the quantity the gumbo was definitely worth $10 I could not even finish it all. This place is great! I usually come for their delicious rotisserie chicken which is always excellent! They have an onion bar with 4 different choices of diced onions with a different sauce each as well as 3 home made sauces which are on each table. On the most recent trip I took here, my wife and I got the sautéed chicken and noodles as well as sautéed beef and onions. Both dishes were huge portions and very tasty! Every time I go to La Granja I tell myself I will try something new and every time I end up ordering the same thing, because it is so good! I get the 1/4 chicken with black beans and rice, and bananas. The food is good and the sauces are amazing. Truthfully I just use the chicken as a vehicle to deliver the sauces, they are that good. Who doesn't love La Granja??? This location is awesome! The food is always fresh and hot... love that they have a drive thru. I usually go for the #2 which is a quarter chicken with rice and beans. It's fireee. My boo usually gets #7 which is grilled chicken with rice and beans. The piece of chicken is huge, definitely enough for 2. It comes with onions on top. Also delicious. Even the French fries are great! You will be waiting in the drive thru for a while... but you can't complain because your food will be freshly made. That makes it totally worth it. The food is good. Anything you get is good as long as you have those sauces. They also sell desserts at this location (alfajores, flan, tres leches) This location has a drive thru. The reason for 1 less star is because of the customer service. It's not that they are blatantly rude or anything but I always feel awkward or like i'm bothering these people by ordering food at the counter. I am always a fan of this place. It is simple, quick and delicious. It is located near the Town Center Mall in Boca. My favorite thing to get here is the 1/4 white chicken combo. You have the option of Yellow or White rice. My pick is always yellow. They give you black beans and sweet plantains. You also get a drink with this combo. They give you a lot of food so usually I divide it in half and will have lunch and dinner with this. The best part is pricing! This combo is approximately less than $7 bucks. You have to try the green sauce that they have on the table!. It is addicting! It is a bit sour but give the rice and beans lots of flavor. Service is always great. They try to serve really fast. We usually do not wait more than 10 mins for our food. There is plenty of room here and lots of tables. They keep it super clean and there is always someone coming around to pick up everything from the table and wipe it down. You should definitely try it out!! read more

Monday night at 7:45pm, the worst customer service. This woman who checked out our order had the nastiest attitude ever. She was not friendly or welcoming at all. I had been newly introduced to Peruvian food and was looking for a quick alternative for lunch when I stumbled upon La Granja. A Peruvian fast food place with drive through while still being able to retain the flavors you get from a sit-down restaurant. I got the lomo saltado with white rice and fried bananas. There was a good portion of meat which was flavorful and tender throughout. Half of the rice was soaked with the sauce from the meat, making the meal really salty, but I just made new rice to go with the leftovers to even it out. Lastly, the bananas weren't overly sweet or mushy and made for a nice dessert. Overall, if you're in the mood for some Peruvian but are short on time, La Granja is a solid choice. read more
