Chicken Caesar wrap with onion straws

Service is always great. I have been in there for drinks for maybe 5 times in past year and most recently twice for food and drinks. I have been greeted by the tell nice gentleman that's usually there (maybe manager), horrible with names and the nice lady with a short name who is always at the bar, usually leaves around 3 pm ish. Food is good and fresh, love that they have a doggie menu and that they are allowed. Brought in my standard poodle who's well behaved and she loved the mini burger I think it lasted 5 seconds to devour.

Our go-to weeknight dinner & drinks spot! I try something different every visit and have loved everything so far! Great cider/sours selection for those of us who don't drink beer. My favorite items are the burgers, BLT (try it with the chipotle aioli), and wings! Ambiance is chill and casual with plenty of antiques. Service is always super friendly.

I love this place. So many beers on tap, food always fresh and good. The service is warm and you feel at home. I usually get the burger but switched it up this time. Buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious! The place is cute with kitschy items hung everywhere.

I went with friends to the Dixie Grill & Bar after a visit to the Norton Museum. It was awesome. Everybody ordered different style burgers and I had the Ahi tuna appetizer on small toast bites. They were seasoned nicely and eat bit was a taste sensation. I could have had another round. We heard that day, that the original owner had passed away and the staff were having a memorial for him that night. The atmosphere is home-town casual with fun memorabilia around the interior. I would definitely recommend it as a stop when in West Palm. The food presentation was very nice inadditon to tasting really good.

Very fun atmosphere. Great list of craft beers etc. Terrific menu with lots of options. Food overall was very good. Fried onions were noteworthy. Burger hit the spot. Chicken Caesar wrap was good. Strawberry salad was fresh and delicious. The highlight of the restaurant for us was the decor. They have loads of fun vintage items all over the restaurant.

My friends and I were ravenous. We were looking for food FAST, something that everyone would love, that wasn't really a chain. We were in the area, and I did a quick Google Maps look and found "Dixie Grill & Bar" This place was everything we could've hoped for in that moment. We were feeling very nostalgic with all the decor around, it was EVERYWHERE. The service was good. Nothing special, average, which is what we wanted. We were hungry, not looking to be bothered a million times, just wanted to eat and enjoy conversation. The menu was wonderful. I loved how many options there were. I got the Mahi Mahi sandwich, with the fish grilled. I substituted the regular French fries for sweet potato fries, and they give you a side of marshmallow fluff to dip! I had never been anywhere where they do that, and it tasted like a dessert! It was sooooo delicious! My friends each got very hefty burgers with about everything you can think of inside, and they LOVED it! Overall thoughts: Great food, great service, great vibes.

    Nachos, Fried Gator, 6 Wings

We ordered the 6 wings (mango habanero, fried), fried gator and Nachos. The wings needed seasoning despite the sauce on them but had to suffice with adding salt. The fried gator was more breading than gator and I wasn't too crazy about the flavor of the breading. The nachos however were good, the different flavors complimented each other nicely. They are dog friendly and even have a dog menu so my fur pup had an order of grilled chicken breast which she devoured in under a minute, must have been good.

Talk about being surprised, that's exactly what happened when we walked into this restaurant. It is a wonderful blast from the past with all the metal lunch boxes and toys that I used as a child. Even in the bathroom!!! Not too many tables inside but they do have a large covered patio. The service was excellent and the food was really good. We shared the loaded nachos and a BLT.

Food is consistently great here. Their own brewed beer is delicious especially the Hoplomatic! Love all the random memorabilia hanging around, always see something new to look at!

Time passes. Problems in the kitchen do too. My last couple of visits to Dixie Grill have been rewarded with quality food, great service and its legendary kitschy ambiance. They make one of the best burgers in the county. I'd say "hands down" but if your hands are down, you're not eating! Great beer selection. Decent bar. The only thing a bit disappointing are sky high prices. As of September 2025, the wholesale cost of ground beef in Florida ranges from approximately $3.00 to $4.00 per pound, depending on factors like fat content and quality. This is a significant increase from previous years, with prices reaching a record high of $6.32 per pound in August 2025, driven by reduced cattle inventories and increased production costs. That being said 1/2 lb which is about the size of their burgers are, is worst case about $3.16. The other is themselves have not skyrocketed either. Cooking is no different than last year in terms of price all in a very profitable Berger runs about $10-$12, and they are selling them for between $16 and $24. M never let it be said the restaurants don't try to capitalize on the perception of increased prices. Dive bar, with Palm Beach island prices. If they put in a ride with boats passing through a sacked Caribbean Spanish town, I might find the pricing a little more understandable. Yo ho, yo ho. A pirate's life for me...

Great local dive bar! They have an impressive selection of craft beers and a good variety of menu options. I tried the garlic Parmesan wings and a Caesar salad (my go-to "girl dinner). We went on a Friday night and had no trouble grabbing a table and they had trivia starting at 9. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming and a perfect spot to unwind with friends! Definitely a hidden gem for anyone looking for a lively local bar and grill experience!

Just went back for the first time in probably 5 years and still has all the same feels. Met up with a friend staying in the area for work, and wanted to choose somewhere that would be low key, conveniently located and good for my difficult toddler and this worked out perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their food and beers, and when my 2 year old wanted to get up and check out all the "toys" (antiques affixed to the ceiling), we took a look around inside, then ran around the vacant space next door, while the rest of my party ate on the patio. The waitress was a little off, as she proceeded to confidently hand the bill to my husband despite being a group of adults that were unrelated. But other than that, Dixie hit all the marks as far as what we chose it for and definitely good for bringing small children, between all the fun stuff to look at inside and the ability to be able to walk around outside.

Mini sliders with sweet potato fries with fluff dipping. Oh my god, so good.

Do they have any live music?

We do not currently have any live music. We do always offer a Touchtunes Jukebox and on Tuesdays (8pm) and Fridays (9pm) we have live trivia on the patio.

The New Times ran an article called Six Best Restaurants Serving Alligator in South Florida. Dixie is on the list. I was curious what the gator meat is like?

The tail is very similar to chicken.

When I checked Howley's on yelp I was surprised that there were so many negative reviews. Howley's is managed by the Sub-Culture Group, and we dine regularly at Kapow in East Boca and Dada in Delray Beach, also managed by Sub-Culture. And while this is an entirely different type of food, I still wanted to take a chance and check them out. And we did and were pleased and more than satisfied. First, the decor is truly funky. I'm not sure if everything is from the 50's when they first opened, but it sure looked like it was. The restaurant was spotless, and the toilet was as well. The AC was strong which was appreciated. Artwork on the walls was not our style but must have been from a local artist. Ceiling fixtures were similar to what my parent's had in the late 60's. Jessica was our server and she was professional and positive in her attitude. Could not have asked for anything more. Decided to order a turkey club on rye bread ($15) with fries which were included and share it. Some of the reviews addressed how large their portions were and photos confirmed it. Jessica brought out the sandwich which was split in the kitchen with an ample amount of fries on each plate. The fries were delicious. Obviously freshly made and not sitting around, they were crisp without being overcooked. The turkey was described as fresh roasted sliced turkey and it sure was. Bacon was plentiful and crispy along with fresh lettuce and tomato. Mayo served on the side as requested. The sandwich was so large that I was only able to eat a half of my half, taking the rest home for the following day. Ordered a corn muffin and chocolate chip muffin to take home and each was fresh and delicious. ($5-$6) Howley's certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area and not seeking a trendy looking place which exists all over West Palm where the food may not be as good but the vibe is what is being sold with mediocre food. There was an on-site manager who visited our table to make sure all was good. I neglected to ask her name and apologize - she was welcoming and clearly on top of her managerial duties. Would I return? Sure would. And endorse fellow helpers to check them out.
