    Sautéed spinach, French Onion Bowl
    Anne G.

The service is always fantastic. The beer is fresh and ice cold. I am obsessed with the spinach salad. So much bacon, I had to take some home. The baked potato was delicious, but unnecessary since I couldn't finish the salad. We also had the French onion soup--it was spot on and the sautéed spinach was made with love. Can't wait to try more of the menu options

    Taco Platter

I was looking for a place to stop and eat before going to Lion Country and this is a great option.. The place was clean. Service was friendly. I ordered the 3 taco platter. I ordered mahi, chicken and shrimp. I got a steak instead of the chicken. I didn't say anything. It turned out to be a delicious mistake. The tacos were good for American style. I wouldn't order the mahi again - such a tiny piece. The steak was tender and had a delicious marinade. The shrimp were good too. The platter came with rice and beans. Overall, for the price it was a lot of food.

    Spinach Dip

Ray's is in a small shopping plaza and when you walk up the windows are a little dark so you can't see inside. When we walked in we stood in the doorway for a few moments before a staff member acknowledged us. Once we were seated our waitress came to greet us, she was so sweet and really helped us to enjoy our experience. The establishment is cool, there's a ton of televisions and a pool table. My diet soda didn't have enough syrup in it so the taste was off but I didn't say anything so it must have not been too bad. We ordered a spinach dip and a dolphin rueben to share. The spinach dip was warm, not hot. It definitely needed to be heated up more but tasty... I thought we were off to a decent start. Then the rueben came out. The fish had a very fishy smell and was tough when chewing. Not an item I would ever reorder if I ever decided to go back.

We were given drink tickets that could not be used at the bar, which I understand, but without sufficient and attentive wait staff, it can be a nightmare waiting for drink orders to be taken or for them to even return. I did not receive my last drink because by the time they made the announcement for last call, our waitress was unable to get back to our table before the tab was closed, and we were out of luck. I ended up having strawberry margaritas but unfortunately found a piece of plastic in my first drink. They were also oddly out of regular straws that day and could only offer kids' straws. Food quality was also a miss for me that day. We had three food options to choose from: 10 wings and fries, a Cobb salad, or a mahi sandwich. Most people at my table ordered the wings or the salad. I was the only one to choose buffalo-flavored wings, and when I tell you the presentation was TERRIBLE, I was honestly surprised. There was so much buffalo sauce drowning the entire plate that I could barely enjoy my fries because they were drenched and soggy. With the length of the wait times and the nature of the event, I found no use in complaining or asking for fries to be remade, so I made do. I'll stick to the Village location.

They were pretty full when we came here on a Saturday afternoon. We decided to sit at the bar. We had good service here. My husband enjoyed a draft. They had a couple appealing blackboard specials including a crab bisque soup. We both wound up getting some of this soup. It was thick and very good! My husband got the half sandwich and soup. For his sandwich choice he got roast beef with tomato and onion on rye bread. Except for the edges of the bread being a little tough, he really liked the roast beef. And he liked the crab bisque so much that he got a bowl to go. After my cup of soup, I had their "lazy wings" -- basically chicken tenders. Five large breaded pieces to the order, I got them with teriyaki sauce. They were a bit sticky with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, but very good. For my side I got the veggies (celery and carrots) instead of fries. I wound up taking three of the tenders home. We are already planning what to order next time we come...

We decided to sit on the trivia side, which made for a fun atmosphere. Overall, it has that typical hole-in-the-wall bar feel, and everyone was very friendly. We were told they're known for their ribs and wings, so I ordered the platter that included both. For appetizers, we got the cheese curds and fried pickles. They were okay, but nothing particularly memorable. When the ribs and wings came out, the first thing I noticed was how much sauce was all over the plate. It looked like someone had tried to wipe some of it away, but it wasn't cleaned up very well. My wings were also cold when they arrived. I mentioned it to the staff, and they were very nice about taking them back and bringing out a fresh plate. While waiting, I tried a wing and the sauce reminded me a lot of ketchup. I had asked for the sauce on the side, but the replacement wings came out completely drenched in it. That was a bit of a turnoff at first, although I have to admit the wings themselves ended up tasting pretty good. The cornbread was probably the weakest part of the meal for me. I just didn't enjoy it. The potato wedges, on the other hand, were decent and had a generous amount of Parmesan on them. Before my second plate of ribs came out, I told the waitress not to bother bringing them because I realized I wasn't a fan of the sauced version. Another customer mentioned that I should have ordered them dry, so at least I know that for next time. All in all, it was an okay experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially when they replaced the cold wings, but the food was hit or miss for me. It's not a place I'm rushing back to, but I wouldn't say it was a bad experience either.

04/08/26 What a…read moredisappointing experience. I love, love, love the wings at Tree's Wings, but after this visit, we won't be returning. We entered the restaurant just before 9pm. The door says they are open till midnight daily, but what we experienced seemed like a restaurant closing for the night that didn't want to be bothered. Three of us ordered "all you can eat wings," which turned out to be two times of getting wings because it took 30 minutes to get each order and the server showed no interest in getting us more wings. My son asked if he could have half of one flavor and half of another and she didn't know. He ended up telling her he wanted sweet and sour and would also have citrus chipotle if they could do two flavors. Thirty minutes later when he got his food, she told him they didn't have sweet and sour, which is the one he actually wanted. He also asked for spicy peach. Nope they don't have that. He asked for key lime BBQ. Again, they don't have that. For a place known for wings, they were missing the mark. Two of us ordered the combo platters - mozzarella sticks, baked potatoes, chicken tenders, wings, baked beans between the two platters. Most stuff was cold. We weren't given silverware. We asked the server when she delivered the food and she didn't return. We asked the girl cleaning a table and she told us she would do it when she was done wiping the table even though she hadn't even started wiping down the table. She came back a while later with a single fork in her hand and said they didn't have any silverware rolled. We then asked our server again for silverware and she returned with flimsy plastic togo silverware and said the real silverware was all dirty. Mind you, there was one other table seated in the entire restaurant. My brother was left to eat his room temperature potato with a fork that looked like it was going to break every time he stuck it in the potato. He gave up and left more than half uneaten. We had also let the server know the mozzarella sticks were cold. The manager ended up bringing out new ones - not apologizing, just dropping them off and leaving. After spending over an hour eating less than mediocre food, we were tired and just wanted to leave. Our server did not return. I went to the takeout desk and asked for our check. She gave us our check and asked how everything was. I told her how disappointed we were and how half the food from the combos was going in the trash. She apologized, told us they were having an off night, and that they were revamping the menu and taking off sauces that were not that popular. She did apply the "family discount" to our bill which I think was 15% or less. It still didn't make up for the poor experience and didn't even cover one combo meal which were not worth the approximately $22 they charged for each platter and food that we mostly left uneaten. The two stars are because I got the citrus chipotle wings and loved them. I would not recommend ever dining in or ever getting anything other than wings.
