The food was fine. Service was a little bit slow, and the ambience was what you expect from an Irish pub.

Went last night (Saturday) and ate outside on the patio. The sunset you are able to see from their patio was beautiful. The food was great. Between appetizers and the meals, we had tons of food left over. The pretzel appetizer are four long sticks that are soft. I ordered the 10 wings, they were OK size but I have seen them bigger in the past. The prime rib dip was filled with meat. Also, the shrimp skewer appetizer was phenomenal. My dad got it as his meal. For us being the waitresses only table in the beginning outside, she was very attentive to our needs. And she would have a runner bring us more lemons, etc., if she had to deliver food to her other tables. read more

Greeted immediately and could have waited for a table but we had Mom with us and she is physically challenged so we got the handicapped labeled table. Mom and I got our drinks kind of fast but the wife used the bathroom and came a few minutes later. She had to wait for her drink way too long. People who came in behind us sat at the bartender server tables and got everything they needed where we had to beg for our drinks. We got our food in a reasonable time but had to get the hostess to get us an extra plate and extra dipping sauce. Mom ordered the potato leek soup and it was horrible. We complained but still did not offer us a remedy. We had to fight to take it off the bill. Not a restaurant it's just a bar with simple bar food you have to be careful what you order. We haven't been to Murphy's Grill in a while and my wife had a hankerin' for soup on a cool day. After looking at Murphy's menu online, we hopped in the car and headed out for an enjoyable dinner. We arrived fairly early and had our choice of seats. We opted for a booth but the table seating with low bucket seats looked tempting too. Our server, Kelly, promptly arrived at our table and took our drink order. She stopped by several times during dinner to check on us. Kelly answered our various questions about the menu offerings, and recommended Murphy's Mom's soup as being popular. The menu indicated it contained big chunks of ground beef, potato, carrots, celery, tomatoes, and macaroni in a beef broth. It was almost like a stew with such large chunks of ingredients. The aforementioned macaroni seemed to be missing from the big bowl of soup though. Maybe there just wasn't enough room as all the other items crowded out the poor macaroni - ha ha! It was delicious and quite satisfying. After asking Kelly about the flatbreads, we each ordered one. My wife had the Margherita flatbread and I had the Meats flatbread, which contained a nice portion of pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Both had plenty of cheese and a pleasant tomato sauce. We were happy to see the flatbreads were thick and chewy as we didn't want thin, crunchy crust. The flatbreads were so large we could have shared one. Instead, we took home plenty of leftovers. We asked Kelly about entertainment at Murphy's. She said they offered trivia, bingo and poker nights each week along with occasional live music. We promised ourselves to visit again soon and to continue to explore the menu, although we may just have the soup and flatbreads again since they were so tasty. read more

Came to Murphy's after a long day at Animal Edventure which is down the street. Its spacious, cool and cozy inside. We were greeted by Emiko which was our server and she was super fast and attentive. We ended up getting the fried mozzarella, 10 mild buffalo parm wings (fried hard) with a side of tater tots and an impossible burger. The fried mozz was just okay. You can tell there's inconsistency in the way they were fried. $14 for 3 thin mozz sticks is kind of insane. The wings were not fried hard, the skin was not at all crispy and despite being very saucy, if they were fried hard, fresh out of the fryer, they should still be crispy. They were also slightly rubbery so it wasn't appetizing trying to eat all the meat off the bone, however, the flavor was incredibly good as was their blue cheese. The tater tots were fried to perfection. Very crunchy, not too oily or salty. The impossible burger was just that, nothing to write home about, but it's wonderful that they have options for vegetarians. The fries however were nice and unique, you dont see these in many restaurants. Overall for an app, two entrees and two soft drinks, the total came to $65.77. Unfortunately I cannot say it was worth the price. This is out of my way, so it's not like I'd be back, but was pretty painful to pay this amount for just an okay meal. read more

My second time here was a better experience than the first (around the time of their grand opening so they probably ironed some kinks out). As this is a sports bar, I decided to order traditional bar food and get a burger. A restaurant that offers tater tots always gets some extra points in my book, so of course I chose tots over fries. The hangover burger was massive, messy and deliciously juicy (or greasy? Hard to tell) and the tots were crisped to perfection. The meal satisfied my burger craving and I was stuffed with no regrets. We decided to try Murphy's Grill since it's close to home and we'd heard good things about it. We started off with the hot wings, which were just okay -- they lacked flavor and seasoning. For our main course, we went with burgers and fries. The burgers were again pretty average, but the fries were absolutely delicious -- perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was fantastic -- warm, friendly, and very "hometown" in the best way. Overall, our meal wasn't bad, but it didn't wow us either. We came for lunch on a Sunday. They are in a relatively new strip of stores on the east side of 441/SR7. They have only been open about 2 months. And there are still a few glitches that need to be worked out. We sat at the bar. There were only a few other people there when we first came. Later on a few more tables of folks filled in. My husband had a cup of their mom's soup to start. Well, I should say he wanted it to start, but all our food came out at once. The soup was just warm enough to be acceptable, but should have been served hotter. And he ate it as he was hungry. He said it was good. We also had two of their appetizers. Again, the stuffed shepherds pie potatoes were just warmed. The gravy, however, that came with it was an ice cold glutinous glob. We did send that back to be heated. That helped a bit but by the time it was returned the potatoes were even cooler. They should have offered to heat the potatoes, too. I had their corned beef and cabbage egg rolls. I liked them, but the first bite had my eyes tearing and my nose rubbing. I asked if there were jalapeños mixed in. I was told, no, just a very spicy mustard (it isn't listed on the menu ingredients, btw). The other roll wasn't as spicy, so maybe they didn't blend the cabbage etc well enough? This was an impromptu dinner on the way home from a family gathering. Murphys is not on open table so we just took a chance at 7pm to walk in. It was no problem at all. There were plenty of tables inside. We sat at a table but the chairs were so low and we just sunk into these barrel seats. Honestly, I was uncomfortable but it was a good location in the venue to watch the sports on the various hanging TVs around. The final NHL was about to start. Leo , our waiter was efficient and very friendly. He made his recommendations to us based on our preferences. I found the healthiest item on the menu - the strawberry goat cheese salad and grilled chicken. Paul has the prime rib sandwich French dip and fries. He totally enjoyed it. The portion was large but he managed to finish it. The key lime pie was an ok dessert. They did not have decaf coffee. When people left, they wiped off the tables but did not sweep the floor. I saw a couple dit down in a booth that was not appropriately cleaned but they didn't seem to care. That totally turned me off. It was a great experience! We walked in and the energy was amazing, got the best greeting. We were welcomed by Mark, he was our server and excellent. His suggestion for the Corn beef and Cabbage egg rolls were perfect! Then he suggested the burgers and on point, my Swiss cheese mushroom burger was delicious and the special fries were awesome! After a disastrous first visit to Murphy's Grill about 6 months ago, we decided to give it another try. Sitting at the bar, we were greeted promptly and served our drinks within seconds. Ordered the Guiness Beef Stew (a fail as the beef was tough as shoe leather) and the French Dip sandwich (barely passable- like Steakums and some mushrooms, the french fries were good, though). Getting our second drinks was a bit tough as both bartenders were consumed with changing television stations for what seemed like 20 minutes. Food ordered, and it arrived, both items (burger and French dip) were overcooked. French dip also was not a French dip, rather more of a Philly cheese steak. Waitress never came by to ask how things were going. With it being as quiet as it was, there's no excuse for the experience to have been as bad as it was. Poor service and average food at best. Don't waste your time. They don't seem to be addressing any of the repeated problems others have been saying. It's a shame.... The location is great. Not being executed well at all. We decided to try this newer restaurant after driving by a few times. It's very open, full of natural light and well decorated. It has a cozy feel though, it was busy but the place can accommodate a multitude. It's a good place to come with a big group. We went today for the first time They have regular chairs and nice big ones with padding. The atmosphere was nice but it's in a plaza abs not a stand alone. The service was great The appetizer of pretzel sticks were great. The corn beef and cabbage egg rolls were cooked great but a little dull on taste though that's before the sauce, if they added a bit more cabbage and maybe a little onion i think that would enhance them and they are cheaper ingredients so its not really a criticism that they are giving you too much expensive ingredients . The Chicken tenders were the best ones I have had in a long time. Cooked great for the right outside crunch and very very meaty and appeared high quality. My wife enjoyed her drink as well. There also happened to be a band playing with the name Root as part of the name and they were terrific especially for a young band. One thing I would change is they are showing all sports shows on the tv. They should also have a show that shows just funny videos for kids to watch or just play mtv ridiculousness type show The prices were very reasonable. Did not know about Murphys until we go a coupon book from a school fundraiser, we decided to go and It was great. The inside is classy and lounge like, with a large bar. I had their chicken wings with voodoo bbq - delicious sauce, someone at our table got the chicken buffalo sandwich and said the batter to the chicken breast was so good and another had the pork loin cutlet with mashed potatoes and said It was amazing. We ordered steak for my mom and me, and my wife got the sheppard pie, and my son got the butter chicken and wings. when they brought my moms steak it was beyond well done, and she order med rare. There was no apology or accountibility. They did end up bringing another steak but at this time we were all done eating. They made numerous mistakes on the order. wrong salad, had to re ask to bring my soup and a1. they charged for a large salad when it is free with the steak. It was a very small circular dish not very deep full of mashed potatoes and cheese maybe a tablespoon of meat no vegetables and this was $16. My friend ordered a cup of soup that was cold and egg rolls that were very skimpy not stuff very well with anything. We got an order of wings to go for a friend. My review was handed to a manager who supposedly gave to owner who never responded. We had dinner a week ago. Medium well hamburger was raw inside and sent back coconut rum was missing an ingredient. We were going explaining to nice server when big guy standing near intervened. Waitress walked away. At first I thought he was kidding. He got into argument with me over the drink. Finally I said I would take it. He then talked wife into a blueberry rum drink she never had before. He came over, grabbed the drink, threw in sink and yelled to us "will you now send the water back also. Wife's burger finally came. But she had filled with French fries. At that point she got up and left. I walked to that big guy and tried to explain and talk with him. He kept interrupting me, accused us of being people who returned everything. He didn't hear anything I said. Just a nasty attitude. I offered to pay. He refused and kept saying he would play for our meal. 1- food and drinks prepared terribly. 2- customer service just awful. I'm 80 yrs old and have never seen such terrible customer service. I came back a few days later with this review in and envelope.
