First of all, it's not a pub. It's too well-lit and not "cozy" like a pub. Basically, it's a sports bar. The waitress was okay. She did a good job and none of what I have to complain about is a reflection on her. I ordered the shepherds pie. I love shepherds pie. I grew up on it. What they served me was not shepherds pie. It's the first time in my life I received a dish to my table that had steam rolling off it but was cold through-and-through. At first I figured it was the potatoes but it definitely was not. Despite the steam, it was all cold. As far as flavor, it had none. It was absolutely bland. It should have had at least some flavor, but it didn't. The meat and vegetables were swimming in grease as well. It should've been a gravy, but instead it was a just a pool of grease. I'm a big guy, I always finish my meals. I ate only about half of this before I gave up on it. Sure it was presented nicely, but it was just bad. Not just mediocre, but bad. What's worse, the food runner, some guy with a beard and attitude, came out and stopped in front of the table and asked "whose is this" with the grumpiest face and walked away before I could thank him. This place sucks. If they're planning on staying open, they have some serious work to do. read more

Gave it a try, Thursday night football fries and wings. Fries were good unique but $6 for a small takeout container is not good, figured it would be larger for that price. Wings were big but not a lot of flavor other than the sauce no crisp to them even though clicked well done all for $30 isn't exactly a steal. Disgusting Food, Very Rude Service, and Clueless about Allergens (They're going to kill somebody). The place is dreary and dismal. There were not many people in there despite it being a new restaurant. We had to wait quite a long time to place our order because we asked some allergen questions and it took our server a long time to get back to us (while taking the orders of other tables that came in afterwards). While waiting, we started to look at all of the food coming out. None of it looked good. We kept revising our order in our heads to exclude things we kept seeing come out of the kitchen. The fries were so oily and soggy that it almost looked like a soup. The chicken looked incredibly soggy and oily as well, and not of high quality. The burgers just looked sad. The shepherd's pie looked like a melted mess that was barely microwaved. There were ants and flies everywhere. It was not a good impression at all. We finally got some answers back on the allergens. One item I asked for earlier was a grilled chicken sandwich. I asked for this seeing only an online menu. The server comes back, says she is ready to take our order, and also says that there is no milk in any of the items we asked. I look at the menu, and I'm about to order the sandwich, when I see that it comes on a brioche bun. I ask her, "Wait, brioche? That has milk in it, doesn't it?". The server, and I AM NOT JOKING, snatches the menu away from me, shouts at me, "Well IT'S BREAD! Of COURSE it has milk in it!" She also walks away at this time. We are both terrified of what could come out of this kitchen at this point, and we leave. We obviously won't be back, but please, manager, owner, anyone, you need to educate your people on the basics or they are going to get someone killed. read more

First time there. Wonderful experience. Can't mgt seating, very pleasant and accommodating staff, and excellent food. I had the butter salmon. Perfectly cook and the broccoli side was fresh and crisp and delicious. Wife had fish and chips. Perfectly done. Only issue, which was quickly resolved was the mash could have been hotter. Friend had regular burger. Perfectly cooked and a good sized burger. All in all, great dining experience. The only problem hung that bothered me a bit was the large cross near the entrance. It was not a matter of religion, I'm just not sure it's appropriate for a dining establishment. read more

we were a group of 6 people who arrived at 5 p.m. it was not very crowded. we were greeted by our hostess who sat us immediately. Shortly after, our waitress Ashley Anna arrived to greet us and offer us menus. A few more people arrived and it took a few extra minutes for her to take our drink orders. Unfortunately, to Ashley's defense, it took quite a while for her to take our order and deliver our waters. Apparently, she was the only waitress for the entire restaurant, other than the hostess. The food was sub par. According to a couple of our table mates, the drinks were watered down. Maybe it was an off night. we will give it another try. Hope it is better next time read more

Me and my wife went to Murphy's on Tuesday, July 22. We have been there several times since the doors have opened. The food has always been good. But as I ordered fish and chips last night. There was very few french fries on my dish. So I said to the waitress They certainly doesn't seem like there's a lot of french fries on my dish. She says they weighed a portion now. Instead of having the manager come over or adding some more to my order. She walked away from the table. Very disappointed. read more

Just walked out!!! Every TV was on a sports channel but one..FOX NEWS. We have been here so many times because we live within walking distance. The food is not the issue..but I will not be anywhere that shows a political show. There is just so much division in our country..going out to dinner should not add to it. What an awesome restaurant! Love the decor, felt so homey! The penny bar is my favorite! The food was soooo yummy. Def my favorite new spot. The owners were also so nice, Robert and Wendy introduced themselves and made sure everything was perfect. Our waitress Jordan was also adorable. Even the chef, Richie came out and said hello. My family had a little get together for my Birthday (03/29) at Murphy's. We really had our hopes up for a good experience, but it was somewhat disappointing. Atmosphere and service was good. The big problem we had is that all four entries (Bangers & Mash (x2), Fish & Chips and Pork Loin) came to the table cold. I guess they were busy and maybe understaffed, but no excuse for all four entries to be like that. We may give it another chance during the week to see if our eating experience is better. I guess they are a new establishment, and I wish them well. Hopefully my review will make for a positive between management and staff. read more

Plenty of parking a nice outside dining area, restaurant has nice tables & very comfortable chairs, We were greeted at the door by a young man "Craig"who was polite & invited us to step in we sat at the bar and was greeted by "Dave" the bartender extremely nice and helpful, we started with a appetizer of Cabbage egg roll/ corn beef absolutely DELICIOUS, I had a original hamburger/ the bun was slightly toasted extremely fresh with the house French fries I was impressed, of course I needed to wash it down with a nice pint of Guinness Draft , My wife also tried the appetizer which she totally enjoyed, followed by the Shepherds Pie, Gotta say all homemade ingredients & certainly going to be a hit Very good , I met Robert the establishments owner who was on hand and making the rounds to accommodate any needs. Craig was extremely polite and also roaming the establishment to help with anything he could, with the Quality of the food, the awesome and polite service and very ample parking this place should certainly do well, I certainly will be back many more times. read more

The food was great, but the service was slow to nonexistent. Waited thirty minutes after meal trying to get and pay the check. Waitress would never even look towards our table. I finally had to get up and track her down to pay our way out. We were seated by the door so got to hear all the excuses the hostess was giving to people coming in why they couldn't be seated and how nonchalant they were about getting tables ready and seating customers. If i ran this business this hostess wouldn't be anywhere near a customer. Like i said we enjoyed the food but service was a one if I'm being nice. read more

This place opened up, not too long ago and it's been a good little place to go to when you just want some bar food that's better than your average bar food. They have a varied menu. Lots of different beer selections. The owner is super friendly and the staff is as well. Good little hang out. They're still getting their kinks out with servers, figuring out tables and all that stuff but I think if they continue to serve really good food they'll do well. read more

Walked in with a friend spontaneously and was pleasantly surprised. They were only opened a few days so service was a little slow. But that didn't bother us. The food was very good, no complaints. We had a delicious appetizer of corned beef and cabbage egg rolls. It was really delicious. Very different from the usual appetizers you see on menus. Everything else we had was very tasty. They have a big bar area and a very nice outside patio area. Plenty of parking. We will be back. read more

I don't think I've had such a bad experience in a very long time. It started off. We sat down outside at a table and waited about 15 maybe 20 minutes before I had to go inside to let them know that nobody noticed we were sitting there. They sent someone out. They took our drink order we asked for Angry orchard which was on the menu, but they don't carry that anymore. That's OK switch to something else and got our drinks then we proceeded to place our order. We ordered two appetizers, the egg rolls and the potatoes and ask them to come out before a meal. We were waiting not very long and the food was delivered. Appetizers were nowhere in sight. That's OK we were no rush. We're too concerned about the food being called. Five or so minutes later, the appetizers showed up and we started to eat. Since the food was on the table, we were going between the appetizers and then started the meal. We ordered a hamburger to SHARE and ordered it medium. We also ordered the tomato soup as a meal. Staff was not easily available as there was a sampling going on for some Irish whiskey and there were a lot of people in the restaurant. Spoke to the person who delivered the food and I asked for a manager. He said he was a manager, so I exclaimed how the meal was going and how disappointed I was and he was not very understanding didn't seem to care and basically said he couldn't be in the kitchen and out on the floor at the same time. When we were done with the meal, I asked the waitress if he was the only manager and she said no so I asked for the other manager and I spoke to him. He said that he would be happy to take 50% off the check which was great except we couldn't eat the hamburger because it was raw so he gave us 50% off but left the bad food. All in all this is our second time trying this place. I wouldn't waste my money and I suggest you do the same. There are so many other businesses in the area that value customers and appreciate their patronage. read more

I have heard good things about this new restaurant since it opened a month or so ago so we decided to check it out. Had a glass of wine and a draft beer, both good pours especially for the price. Then got an appetizer of 5 Buffalo wings which were delicious. My wife ordered the French dip sandwich and I had a Nashville spicy chicken sandwich, both very good and generous portions. All was great until I got the bill and noticed the French Dip was $15 although the menu price was $13. When I pointed this out to the waitress she said she would check, then came back saying that the menu hadn't been updated but the price was increased. The restaurant has been open for a month and the price already went up? So instead of honoring the menu price they gave me 10% off, meaning I was still paying 50 cents over the menu price. Although the amount of money in question is little, the way this was handled doesn't speak well of the management. Apparently the owner was out of town so I don't know who made this decision but it should have been handled better. This soured our experience and I'm not sure if we will go back so I'm giving less than 5 stars for this reason. read more
