The pork chops were cooked well and had good flavor without being overly seasoned. I also liked that the Caesar salad tasted fresh and balanced out the heavier meal. Our server was attentive in a natural way and checked on us enough without interrupting conversations every few minutes. Food timing felt well paced from appetizers to the main course. The actual trivia took forever since the host would give 2-3 songs to answers so trivia ended up being over 3 hours which is not normal especially on a week night. Service was exceptional. We even met the owner--so kind--and she shared that many of the recipes come from her grandmother. Well, I can tell you... Grandma was a great cook! The Lamb Shank was rich and tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection. It came with fresh carrots and creamy homemade mashed potatoes. The Grilled Octopus appetizer was a standout. It takes a special chef to do this well, and they nailed it here--each bite was tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good. It was served over rich, olive oil-warmed tomatoes, onions and spinach, that complemented it perfectly.
