Just called in to cool off and get a coffee late morning. Sat at the bar and ended up ordering shrimp lettuce cup and waffle fries plus lemonade and coffees at the bar. Really smart decor clean and convenient for the beach. Food and service surprisingly good and much better than simple beach restaurant. They apparently have limited brunch menu. They seemed to make the lemonade fresh and all the food better than might be expected. After 40 minutes beginning to fill up with people and we were off to watch the Bimini to Lake Worth 80 mile paddle boaters arrive. The charity aimed at funds for Cystic Fibrosis was also sponsored by the owners of this restaurant so win win all round. Would definitely come again for more substantial meal. They do add 2.9% for using credit card and hate to pay for parking as well read more

My friends and I came here for brunch, and overall the food was good. The restaurant has a beautiful coastal vibe with a modern feel, making it a nice spot to grab brunch with friends. I enjoyed the French toast, the avocado toast was tasty but on the smaller side than I expected. Unfortunately, the service made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. When we first arrived, we were told they couldn't split the bill seven ways, but they could accept separate payments. We were also told there would be a 20% service charge for our group. When it was time to pay, the 20% charge hadn't been added to the bill. We had already calculated our totals assuming it would be included, which caused some confusion. Afterward, it felt like our server was frustrated when we had already factored the 20% into my payment. Since the bill couldn't be split automatically, one of my friends had to calculate everyone's individual totals and tell the server how much to charge each person's card. On top of that, both my friend and I received the wrong meals and had to wait for our correct orders to be made. Our server was kind, and I don't think any of these issues were intentional, but there were several unnecessary hassles throughout our visit that took away from an otherwise enjoyable brunch. We are locals. This is our absolute favorite restaurant in the area. Benny's on the Promenade owns it and did an excellent job. The service is atrociously Good! Kind, Courteous, always ready to assist. Inside, you'd find the Palm Beach crowd. Quietly stealthy and reserved. The outdoors are populated with the tourists. We usually sit inside. The bar is brand new, modern and sexy. The cocktail menu is great and our lunch favorites are the Wagyu Millionaire Burgers. There is only one negative- it closes too early for dinner hence unsuitable for us. 9PM is when we sit down to eat. read more

This restaurant is in a beautiful spot near the beach, and the location alone makes it worth checking out. The ocean breeze and relaxing atmosphere set the perfect tone for a nice evening out. Inside, the space has an open-concept layout with plenty of natural lighting, giving it a bright and airy feel. Service started off a little slow since it took some time for our server to greet us even though it wasn't busy yet, but once things got going, the appetizers and entrees came out lightning fast. The cocktails were decent, though nothing particularly creative or memorable. The food overall was good, but not quite great enough to justify the higher price point. That said, the fish and chips and the scallop dish were definitely the highlights of the meal and stood out the most. One of the best parts of the experience was being able to finish dinner and head straight to the beach for a relaxing walk along the ocean. It's always fun playing tourist in south Florida! And if you are an actual visitor/tourist, this would be a nice way to enjoy the beach and the ocean while dining in a more refined way. After being sick for a few days, I was seeking the restorative powers of the ocean. I love the smell and feel of the salt air and the rhythmic view and sound of the ocean waves. We decided to try this restaurant that I'd bookmarked a while back. The restaurant is located at the south end of the "casino" building (as it used to be called). There's a large bar inside along with a smaller one. And lots of seating. And tables -- including high tops -- on the outside patio. Some tables have umbrellas. And it's a pretty setting. Even though the beach is below (via stairs), you can see the beach and hear the ocean from your outside table. We had excellent service throughout thanks to Harlen (sp?). She was efficient, yes, but she also had personality plus. She asked all the right questions. And she anticipated our needs. We started by sharing an order of conch fritters as our appetizer. There were five to the order. They came with a tasty dipping sauce on the side. We both liked the fritters. There was a slight hint of spice and some nice chewy bits of conch. I'd order these again. Next, my husband got a dozen east coast oysters on the half shell. These came with lemon, a mini bottle of tabasco, and a cucumber mignonette sauce. They were small, but briny and refreshing. My husband even used some of the conch fritter sauce for dipping. I had a wedge salad to which I added shrimp. The salad was huge. Big wedges of iceberg lettuce that were topped with crispy bacon, small, halved tomatoes, and ranch dressing along with my added shrimp -- that was grilled. I got a few of the other items that normally come with the salad on the side (for hubby to enjoy): feta cheese, crispy shallots, and chives. It was very good. Harlen even brought out some extra dressing for me. And I wound up taking a portion home for dinner. Prices are a tad high, but you are paying for the view and ambiance. And as an upscale dining venue, it's on par with inland restaurants of its ilk. Would we go back again? Yes. Would we take out of town guests here? Absolutely! read more

AWesome day on the beach playing Tourist! We have been coming to Lake Worth Beach for over 30 years, particularly this location, from John G's, and through other transitions. OCEANWALK is a hit and hopefully will be around for a while! Friendly folks here and did not have to wait long for a beachside table to open and be cleaned for us. Our server HARLEN was the best! She answered all of our questions, including a trip to the kitchen to ask the chef about a particular sauce ingredient that was unfamiliar to us. She checked on us frequently and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. We shared some Conch Fritters and I saved the sauce to try with some of my oysters. My Oysters were small but clean and expertly shucked from the shells. My wife enjoyed her Wedge salad with the extra added large grilled shrimp. I enjoyed my experience here at Ocean walk. I came on a Wednesday late morning/early afternoon, and there weren't too many people here. It was quiet, right across the street from the water, a beautiful view, people watching, and overall it just felt good to be sitting outside here. I ordered the oysters and the bread and butter side floor an appetizer. I could've done without the bread but the oysters were really fresh and tasty. For my entrée I got the Wagyu burger and fries, and although it was a little red when they first brought it out, they had no problem taking it back and remaking it. If you order that, let them know upfront how you want your Wagyu to be cooked. I think it's supposed to be cooked a little more on the medium rare side, but I'm OK eating Wagyu at a medium well doneness. For drinks I had the watermelon Mojito; it's on the menu as a "nojito", but I had them add liquor to it and it was just delicious. They also brought me out a special piña colada, it was pink and served in a short glass, but actually really tasty, not too coconut, and somehow feels very "Florida", and that's something I don't usually say especially being a native of Florida. Lastly, they brought me out their special Keylime pie, which was a beautiful presentation, and absolutely delicious, a very well-made done Keylime pie. The burger was worth the price. It was superbly prepared and delicious. The crab linguine was $44 and a disappointment. Technically it's not even linguine, it was angel hair and just lacked flavor, especially at that price point. The crabmeat was overwhelmed by the artichokes. I wish I had also ordered the burger. The key lime pie was rather good and easily the best thing we ordered. All in all, with tax and tip, plus a bottle of peligrino and the ice cream I didn't take a photo of, came to $134. You can do better for that price point. I expected the linguine to be amazing and it was meh. It was certainly priced to be amazing. The venue was also underwhelming. The beach is on the other side of the street and cars and trucks parade past, many of them revving engines and showing off the full capacity of their subwoofer in a juvenile manner. We went out with some friends for Brunch and decided to go to this new place on the water different then Benny's across the street but new and versatile menu. We started with drinks, cafés and any order of UBE Panckakes with spicy Pinaple Soy maple syrup. Andres was our server who made some great brunch and lunch menu suggestions. We ordered, the millionaire breakfast - 2 eggs bacon, hashbrowns, sourdough bread. My wife ordered the avocado toast, with smoked Salmon. Our friend ordered Ahi Tuna Poké. We sat outside on a cool overcast day that was perfect! Everything was delicious! Poke was a little spicy with the peppers and wasabi aioli. So if you don't like spicy let them know to remove it. Family in town is always a great reason for lunch on the water, and Benny's seemed a great place to do it! A wonderful view of the ocean and a sea breeze helped elevate the day even more. Our server 'Rachel' was friendly and easily the best part of the meal. Bloody Mary's were tasty but their "garnish" was sadly just lemons, limes, and olives. Appetizers were great! We had a Ceviche (mahi & grouper) that definitely benefited from a tiny taste of coconut, and Thai tuna served atop crispy wontons. Sadly, lunch itself was nowhere near as good as the starters. She did not come back and tell me that they were going to overcharge me for the liquor by quite a bit. I would've changed my order at that point so instead I was paying seven dollars for a quarter ounce of liquor twice so I had two $30 drinks that should've been nothing more than about 15 to 18. Which I would've been happy to pay. I ordered some supposedly "Key West shrimp." They were not from Key West. They were medium shrimp, and cooked dry as dust. Fool me once? Shame on you. Fool me twice? I won't be back again. I won't even pay that much for the sunset. read more

We took our client for dinner here on Tuesday night which was perfect because it wasn't crowded. My intention was to sit outside overlooking the ocean, but because it was so windy they put us inside. Carly was our waitress and she was very sweet and gregarious. As well as being adept at her job. She reviewed the menu with us and told us the specials and we ordered white sangria as our drinks and had a conch fritter appetizer to share. That was delicious. Afterwards we had our entrées delivered. I had the Pompano fish with bok choy, which was their daily special. It was a beautiful portion, very delicious and fresh. For dessert we had their highly rated Keylime pie and coffee. The venue has seating inside, but it's not as big as I had thought from the last time I came with a Yelp event. I believe it would be very special to sit outside on a nice day overlooking the ocean and view the sunset. Parking is not an issue. They have a lot behind them and around them using ParkMobile. I recently visited Oceanwalk by Benny's on the Beach for the second time, and this visit was even better than the first! Since I had been there before, I knew what to avoid and was able to try different items--and I'm so glad I did. The oysters were incredibly fresh and appetizing. I also tried the ceviche, which was just as fresh and absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I had the smash burger, and honestly, it was the best one I've had in years--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My aunt ordered the beet salad, and after tasting it, I can say it was just as impressive--very flavorful and well-balanced. For drinks, I went with the Ube Colada (in the pineapple), and it was so good I wanted another one! Next time, I'll ask for light ice so I can enjoy even more of it. Our server was incredibly kind and helpful, guiding us through the menu and making great recommendations. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed my experience! Everything I ordered tasted delicious. The baked sweet potato specifically blew my mind. That housemade butter with pecans was HEAVEN. The wings were deliciously seasoned and definitely had a kick to them, which is what I live for. The lychee martini was made with gin, lychee, and lime. Absolutely perfect combination. I loved that the cup was in a shape of a woman's silhouette! I also ordered the pineapple Mai Tai which contained rum, curaçao, bitters, pineapple, orange, orgeat, all served in a pineapple cup. Well, the last time I was in this space, it was John Gs! The restaurant is refined beachy inside; it reminds me of the Hamptons. Note about parking: it's the same metered parking for the beach and handicapped parking and is more than 100 feet from the front door on a slight hill. Our server was friendly, knew the menu well, and took our order right away. We started with the whipped ricotta, wings, and crab/caviar/fries. As per the waiter, the fries came with 4oz of crab! We loved it all, but I think the fries were guilding the lily. I would have loved the lump crabmeat with trout caviar on its own. The salads were large and fresh. The fish of the day was pompano. Based on the other dishes, the fish portion seemed small, but it came with purple mashed potatoes and bok choy. We were happily surprised that the burger came with fries. The back porch is so picturesque., which is surprising because the beach view is out front. They offer beautifully composed specialty cocktails, wine, and beer. read more

Our waitress was so sweet, didn't catch her name but she was dressed up for the 4th. Super kind to my kiddos and helpful for us when ordering. We got the chicken & waffles & fries to share - it was disappointing. I feel like I myself can make better waffles than that. My husband didn't even eat it, just the chicken which was yummy with the sweet & hot maple syrup. I didn't like the cheese portion as well on it. Waffles were very bland and not fluffy. The fries (like someone mentioned) were not the best. It tasted like old frying oil. We also got the nachos which was amazing! Ordered as my entree and was filling. 4/5 Chicken and waffles: 3/5 waffle didn't have much flavor, and there is a slice of American cheese in between. Not melted, kind of odd. Chicken is well seasoned with a hot honey. Fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Paella comes with chorizo already mixed so cannot order without for those that do not eat pork. We got comfy outdoor seating and we're dressed immediately. Our server was great and attentive. Menus came and he helped with the drink menu as everything looked delish. As we sipped our drinks we took in the ocean and pier views and enjoyed that ocean breeze. I suggest sitting outside as it was a beautiful day. This revamp is the come back of the season!!! I am so so impressed by everything! The decor, the menu, cocktails, staff, the renaming of the restaurant. It's an elevated version of what used to be, with still being a beach laid back vibe. I'm so impressed by the menu- as someone who is gluten-free- I had so many options!! Cleaner, healthier ingredients & dishes. This is my new favorite local spot to eat. The raw bar faces the ocean.. everything about this place wowed me.. I ate the cod which was absolutely delicious. Great flavor- paired with rice, mushrooms and bok choy. I also had the espresso martini and the pink lady which were outstanding. Oceanwalk has been through several iterations since its opening several years ago. The restaurant went from an overly ambitious pan-latin menu to a pared down Benny's on the Beach menu which served similar but worse food than the nearby Benny's Pier restaurant. Recently the restaurant improved with an interesting menu with food that was uneven but possible to find good selections, however that version didn't last long. Now Oceanwalk has a small streamlined menu and even with a limited selection the food was terrible. I don't think I've ever had a bad Mojito, perhaps okay mojitos but this is the first one I couldn't drink. It was like the kool-Aid of mojitos and tasted artificial and imparted a chemical aftertaste. Though I left ninety percent of it and the waiter didn't bother to inquire. He also didn't ask why my friends and I didn't eat anything we ordered. The pasta with clams had to be among the worst restaurant items I ever tried and I'm not sure how rancid food like this was allowed to be served. The chewy tough clams were clearly not fresh and serve as an insight to the lack of managerial care as to what is served. Other items we had were also not good and Oceanwalk was one of the worst restaurants I've been to in Palm Beach County and it's too bad because the staff is very nice as is the restaurant. read more

First, best Caesar Salad I've had in my life! Try it and you'll love it! My husband topped it with chicken and I had the Mahi mahi- both fresh and cooked to perfection. Homemade dressing with Parmesan cheese shaved and covered salad like a blanket of snow... Secondly, Location is stellar facing the ocean with a newly renovation decor. Highly recommend this restaurant and footsteps from a day at the beach... felt like I was at a resort... and last but not least, our waitress Racheal was amazing! The only negative thing I have to say is that they charge a 18% gratuity. There was no notice prior, and we found out when we saw the bill. Plus an additional 2.2% credit card charge fee.
