Came here with my bf while we were visiting the area. It was a Sunday afternoon and they were BUSY. The hostess was no where to be found for a while but finally we were able to put our names down for a table. The wait was pretty long but the bar was first come first serve so we hoped to snag a spot there instead. The restaurant itself is tight. It's long but thin and the waiting area is like nonexistent so you're basically all huddling around people's tables. Luckily we were able to get drinks while we waited and the drinks were delicious. I ordered "The Crush" which had green grapes in it. It was so refreshing and delicious!! It's been a couple of weeks since we went and I'm still thinking about how good that drink was. I forgot what my bf got to drink but he enjoyed it as well. Finally some seats opened up at the bar and we were able to sit there and I'm so glad we did. Our bartender, I believe his name was Sam, was on point. Just exceptional service from him. He was great at his job and we also really enjoyed our conversation with him. To eat we ordered the deviled eggs, the tuna tartare and the Emerald Kale Salad with Rotisserie Chicken. The salad was just so incredible we ordered one to go as well. The food is absolutely worth coming back here for, the tuna tartare was also fantastic. The deviled eggs were okay, but I'm not a good judge for them as I'm not a huge deviled eggs person. Small, limited menu, but all items are properly executed and taste delicious!! Our table ordered a bunch of things and shared them all- the dip duo (jalapeño queso and guacamole with chips), chicken meatballs, crispy chicken sandwich (homemade torta, Swiss, tomato, spicy slaw), the burger (with a side of spicy mayo), deviled eggs, shoestring fries with seasoning, and the prime rib sandwich (with Jack cheese and horseradish). My favorite items were the chicken meatballs (perfect texture, with the right amount of spicy mustard) and the prime rib sandwich (the bread was soft, steak was juicy and tender, horseradish was creamy). ALL of our dishes, however, were soooo good, and I'd order any of them a second time! Small seating area inside (just a few tables and bar seats), and they don't accept reservations, so expect to wait a little bit. The inside is dark, with warm lighting and big leather booths; you don't feel like you're in south Florida anymore, it's a northern cozy vibe. Service was nice, but didn't check in often enough (often times having to flag someone down for utensils, plates, etc). I would definitely return here for dinner!! read more

They don't take reservations, which I knew, and I was prepared to wait. We put our name down and were told it would be a 5-15 minute wait and that we would get a text when we were off the waitlist. Forty-five minutes later, we still hadn't received a text, so we went to check. There were five open tables that weren't open before, and we still hadn't received a message. Then, when we went to find the hostess to check on our spot on the waitlist, someone else came over and asked if we wanted a table. At that point, being on the waitlist didn't seem to matter anyway since it clearly wasn't being prioritized. I love the food here, but it should not be that annoying to get a table when there are empty ones available. read more

Lazy Thursday afternoon, need some good food. Then it hit me ...OMG, the Honor Bar! The place is a legend in Palm Beach. Yelp recommends it for their hamburgers. But I'm here to tell you, the place does not disappointed. Gigantic burger cooked perfectly medium rare and the combo of the coleslaw, tomatoes and pickles/ cheese just flat out works. Side of french fries, crispy and not overcooked. Similar to what you would get in a French restaurant, sort of. The rest of the menu looks fantastic. Next time the crispy chicken sandwich lol. First visit to Honor Bar for lunch. Beautiful ambiance, dark wood & nice booths for seating. We ordered 2 apps: the chicken meatballs & Dip Duo. There were 3 meatballs served with a bbq & mustard sauce, delicious. The Duo was generous portions of guacamole & pimento cheese served with/warm chips, also delicious. For entrees we shared the prime rib sandwich & the "fork & knife" Tuna burger. The tuna burger was fresh, unique & oustsbding, served on one toasted bun. The prime rib sandwich was 3 mini sandwiches served with the freshest, most thinly sliced prime rib I have ever tasted, with toasted bun & melted jack cheese. Outrageously delicious. This was my first time here. I had been hearing how great the burger is here and it was fantastic. One of the best burgers in town. I asked for it medium rare and that's how it came out. If you are looking for a casual bistro setting for and upscale dining experience, this will suit yoir needs. Self parking is complimentary but there is valet for the shopping plaza. They do not take reservations and that could be tricky the closer it gets to lunch time. I definitely suggest going early and then relax with a drink and appetizer at your table to get started. We arrived a little before noon and we're told it would be approximately 30 minutes to be seated. It was just the two of us and most of the seating is for 2-4 people. The bar area seats are first come but there are not that many seats either. The confusing part is that there is a north and south entrance to the restaurant so it is difficult to figure out who arrived first for seating. Once we found bar seats, Matthew was a very nice bar tender. We had a chance while waiting to look over the menu and we were excited to order our lunch. We started with the house deviled eggs that were full of great flavors and the chicken meatballs that were basic but had a good mustard type sauce on top. We then ordered the Emerald Kale Salad and the Knife and Fork Ahi Tuna Burger. The salad was super fresh and an explosion of flavors with every crunchy bite. The tuna burger is served open faced but they will gladly give you a top for the bun if requested. Service was great from the very organized hostess to the food runner that makes sure your food is promptly delivered. I am sure to come back but definitely earlier in the day. read more

What a great spot! I heard many great things about this place since I moved to the area and finally stopped in and sat at the bar. I got the deviled eggs. I mean-- they are not life changing but yet nice and refreshing. Then the chicken sandwich that everyone says you MUST try. Ok- it's big! I ate one piece, ate the second with a life and fork and no bread, then took the third piece home. I will say-- it was much, much better an hour later after it had time to sort of "marinate". Due to the hostess, Miranda. She was extremely rude and unresponsive from the moment we arrived. Several parties, including ours, were left standing at the entrance for over 15 minutes with no acknowledgment at all. There was no communication, no eye contact, and no sense of urgency just being ignored. It set a negative tone before we even had a chance to sit down. A simple greeting or update would have gone a long way. Hospitality starts at the door, and unfortunately this experience fell very short. Stopped by for a late lunch with my daughter. Place was full but not packed nor too noisy.They seated us right away. Sat for 15 minutes while another waiter said someone would be right over. Eventually sought out the manager who was gracious and apologetic. We placed our orders (hamburger, chicken sandwich, and their famous shoestring fries.) The Honor Bar is directly across the intracoastal from West Palm Beach along the Royal Poinciana Parkway traversing the Flagler Memorial Bridge on Palm Beach Island and it certainly feels very upscale. It's in The Royal Poinciana Plaza adjacent to the Palm Beach Grill and in fact you can walk from the restaurant to the Honor Bar on the inside. The Honor Bar is a small place with two distinct bar areas; great service and top notch food. We stopped for dinner prior to attending a concert at the Walter S. Gubelmann Auditorium which we think is in need of an overall revamp (see my review). read more

Oh Honor Bar, you used to be my fav Love the vibe and love the space but there were some quite disappointing elements of this visit. We were told there would be a 45 min wait time. After 50 minutes we walked in to see if there was availability at the bar (even though we don't drink) and the hostess greeted us, asked "you guys were on the list right?" then proceeded to tell us we had perfect timing because a party didn't shop up so they actually had an open table ready. Not to terrible for a Saturday night. This visit served a few conundrums along with our food items. The first of which being the portion of the chicken meatballs (appetizer) being literally halved, yet being offered for the same price--$12! For three, yes you read that right, three small meatballs (there used to be six!) Our server informed us they changed this quantity offering a week and a half ago and we really couldn't wrap our heads around the reason why. So stay far away from those. Delicious but way, way, way, way over priced. We come here often. And today we found the burger (my fav burger in PB County btw) was smaller than we've experienced on previous visits. This was verified by checking Google images and past reviews. The bun was bigger than the patty. Good thing the flavor was still the same. The emerald kale salad tasted grainy like the greens weren't thoroughly washed I hope that wasn't what it was but I couldn't ignore it. The prime rib sandwich at a $29 price point was the most confusing and disappointing things of the evening. After investigating previous versions of their menu online it used to be called a French dip. This newly titled version came with no au jus. It was replaced with a creamy horseradish sauce. We asked if we could get au jus and were told no, it was only available on the other side of the restaurant (they are connected to the palm beach grille). So that offering was dry and not worth the $29 price tag. It was insulting really. A warning to those wanting to try who have been before but haven't been in a while--your fav may have been altered as well so just ask before hand. I'll still be back for the burger no doubt but not as often. I hope this isn't a sign that they are changing hands or going down hill financially. Again this used to be my fav spot for the burger and vibe but I can't risk being disappointed again for such a hefty price tag. #sad Another review giving it you straight no chaser! Enjoy! read more

Absolutely love this spot for a dim-lit suave night out in Palm Beach. While you definitely need a reservation, it's fun hanging out at the bar while you wait for your table. Located in the Royal Poinciana Plaza, and sister restaurants with Palm Beach Grille, (they're actually connected in the back and share restrooms) it's also a chain with Houston's & Hillstone. The service is always great and accommodating and everything on the menu is fresh and decadent! Always love ordering the Kale salad, Honor Burger- love the coleslaw!, French Dip and this time we tried the Omelette. It was worth sharing but there's too many other favorites of mine so it's lower on my go-tos. The sides are also obviously a must. We tried to have a nite out with friends and encountered many issues. our drink came in a broken glass. I wonder.....How did the bartender not see that the glass had a huge crack in the glass? The Dip Duo (chips & dip) had a big piece of plastic that landed in my husband's mouth. We are vegetarians and asked to leave the chicken off the sandwich (basically a swiss and tomato sandwich) which we would happily pay $24 to eat. But NO. The kitchen would NOT do that. Why?? They could save food cost. We have been in the food biz and were extremely disappointed here. Also clearing dishes before everyone is done......? This isn't a diner and this is so rude.
