It was definitely REALLY loud, but in a way that added to the energy of the place rather than taking away from it, so none of us really minded. Okay, now to the details. The service was incredibly SLOW. Food came out at completely random times, and one person in our group didn't get their food until well after everyone else had finished theirs (which was awful). Our waiter was practically non-existent most of the evening, which made things feel a bit disorganized. On a more positive note, the brussels sprouts Caesar salad was really unique and different from anything I've had before. It was absolutely delicious but we were caught by surprised to realize it was a warm salad. Anyway, the real standout was the sweet corn agnolotti. It was to die for!!! Honestly one of the pastas tapas I've ever had. I wish I lived nearby because I'd come here just for that dish. We were lucky enough to snag some seating at the bar tables without a reservation, but will definitely be making a reservation to ensure we don't miss out next time we are in town. The staff was attentive and approachable, and helped curate the order of our dishes. Three of us shared two mains and two smaller bite plates. No-one left hungry or disappointed! The line up (in order of preference): Sweet Corn Agnolotti - Tender, balanced flavors and texture, unique. Short Rib Empanada - meaty, great dough, loved the brightness of the garnishes - would have loved a touch more of it. Carrots - great flavor combo with the harissa pistachio sauce, carrots were tender and flavorful - I personally prefer a bit more char than grill. Hot Dog Panini - This one was a wild card. There was a healthy number of portions/bites on the plate, I think the sauerkraut was so well prepared it almost tasted caramelized. Came in for an anniversary dinner on a Sunday night. Place was packed at 8pm much to our surprise since outside was quiet. I had a reservation so waited like 2 minutes, which was great. Started off we 3 apps that my wife & I shared. We had Grilled Carrot Salad, Roasted Red Beet Hummus and the Steak Tartare. These were all good but our favorite of the trio was the Carrot Salad. It was so good, much to our surprise. MUST GET! We also ordered a bottle of white Italian wine to wash it down with. By the time we got to an entree we were getting full. So we opted to split a pasta dish. We went with Sweet Corn Agnolotti as others by us seemed to order the same. We got the smaller portion which was perfect for a pit filling bellies. Most reviewers seem to like Buccan but I find everything about the restaurant mediocre and forgettable, so forgettable that I didn't remember that I had been there three or four years before. Service was fine though basic, the dining room is okay looking and nothing more and the food doesn't exceed average. We tried many items and nothing impressed. A Short Rib Empanada featured dry, fatty beef and a Peach salad had soggy greens and flavorless peaches and this after our waiter told us that the peaches are specially sourced for freshness. Pastas were okay and probably the best item of the night was the Sweet Corn Angolotti. The pasta was nicely cooked and the sauce was light with a slightly sweet flavor. Unfortunately a pasta with vegetables wasn't very good and we just left it. Desserts were okay and the Banana Foster was fine. Either way, I was in town and morally obligated (by Instagram and Bon Appétit) to make a reservation at one of the Top 100 Restaurants in America. Resistance was futile. Let's talk food: overall, it was solid. Not in a "makes you weep and text your ex" kind of way, but more like "wow, I feel like I should say 'compliments to the chef' in a British accent." Some dishes were fine; others made me consider uprooting my life and moving to a kitchen-adjacent apartment. Highlights: The sweet corn agnolotti--pillow-y, sweet, and whispering seductive things about summer fields in my ear. The short rib empanada--I'd happily smuggle six of these in my purse like a crunchy, meaty grandma. And yes, the hot dog panini. I don't know who green-lit this on a fine dining menu, but they deserve a raise, a hug, and possibly a street named after them. I wanted to roll my eyes--and then I wanted another bite. Dessert? Tasty, yes. But the crust was doing the absolute most. It showed up like a tuxedo to a beach picnic--technically appropriate, but come on, read the room. The meatball was hands down the best ball of meat I've ever put in my mouth--perfectly seasoned and insanely good. Really delicious restaurant in Palm Beach! Have been trying to get in here for a couple months now (reservations are hard to get), and was so happy we finally got in! The menu seems to change every few weeks, so we ordered items we heard may or may not be there the next time we come. (The "classics", "plant" and "crudo" items tend to stay the same, the large dishes and the pastas tend to rotate (except for their staple sweet corn agnolotti). We ordered the grilled carrot salad, short rib empanadas, spicy pork tacos, sweet corn agnolotti, ricotta cavatelli, and the Thai grilled chicken. All of the dishes were tasty, but we felt a lot of them had TOO many ingredients. Just too much going on. My absolute favorite was the sweet corn agnolotti and the short rib empanadas. The empanada was lightly fried, crisp, and the meat was seasoned and flavorful (and the salsa and sauce on top completed the taste). The sweet corn agnolotti was very rich (order the small portion, even to share), creamy, and cheesy; the flavor was so unique and decadent. The ricotta, butter, bacon, and corn flavors all popped; very interesting flavor combination. The pasta was cooked al dente and I would 100% order this dish again. For dessert we ordered the chocolate chip cookies; they were warm and gooey (baked to order), and the large chunks of sea salt were the perfect touch. Drinks were flavorful but seemed to lack alcohol (very light handed), and on the pricey side. We sat in the front room which is filled with sunlight (the back of the restaurant tends to be darker, but you can see the open kitchen), which shone nice off the copper tables. Really beautiful ambiance (and big bar), and very romantic. Service was exceptional; both girls waiting on us were friendly and had great suggestions, they made our night really special. My husband got the pork chop, and he enjoyed that as well. My dad got the snapper and he said it had a great flavor. My mom also enjoyed her lobster pasta. We went on a Wednesday evening around 7pm with no reservation and were able to sit at a high top in Imoto. Small restaurant, but decorated well, and I didn't feel like I needed to shout to talk to my friend. Ordered the Tuna crisps and Grilled carrot salad to share, Squid Ink Orecchiette and Maine Lobster Spaghetti as entrees, also shared a spicy tuna roll, then finished with the Petite Chocolate Chip Cookies. The Grilled Carrot Salad was our favorite, seemed like a red wine balsamic vinaigrette, the different textures with the orange, pistachio and charred carrots and their flavors were perfectly balanced!! The Squid Ink Orecchiette was great! Perfect amount of heat for a spicy pasta that won't leave your face or ears red! The waitress was perfect and the food? UNBELIEVABLE. I think anyone who has a bad experience just doesn't know what to order. We did a mostly vegetarian meal because 2 of the 4 didn't eat meat and we didn't miss it at all. Had my birthday dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The food cocktails and service were all terrific. We shared the tuna, Tataki appetizer, which was very nice. We also shared the roasted cauliflower with tahini, but the star was the roast carrot salad with plums and numerous other things. We also ordered the garlic spinach side dish that came with our main courses and it was good but a little on the bitter side. One was a black squid ink pasta with calamari and sausage. Another was spaghetti with rock lobster and a tomato based sauce. For me, the best one was the sweet corn agony agnolotti with fresh peas and crumbled bacon. I loved it, but I think many people would enjoy it as a shared pasta course as it is rather sinfully Rich. This is one of those meals that will live rent free in my members for a long time. A meal where every bite of food was amazing. I tried the mushroom spring roll and the mustard went perfect with it. The short ribs empanadas were one of the best. So flavorful and a nice and puffy shell. We had the sweet corn pasta and that was so unique and so amazing. Finally the scallops which were great as well. There seems to be a mixture of cultures and flavors which blended so well together. It's hyped up so much that they ran out of bread, so they offered the sandwiches on a wrap. So that was disappointing, because you didn't get the full effect, having driven an hour to try the 'famous' beef tartare sandwich.
