Came here during their happy hour and I was pretty impressed! Everyone esp manager Darlene was so friendly and helpful. We didn't know what to eat and she recommended the clams and tuna tartare. First time in this restaurant saw a lot of advertisement so we thought we give it a go. It is summer. We went there on a night. There was only a couple of couples in there. They have a summer special. We enjoyed the summer special. I had the carrot ginger soup and then the Bronzino and then you had a choice of dessert. We came here early on a Saturday night around 5pm right when they open and there was plenty of seating inside, by the bar, or outside by their patio. We decided to sit outside on the patio and it was nice having the greenery surround the side enclosing the patio space having a barrier between the parking spaces. The acrylic chairs were also very comfortable and overall I enjoyed the design of the space. They also do take reservations by phone if you plan on coming during a busy dinner hour. We started off ordering a San Daniele pizza for the table to share as a starter and the pizza was so good! It was a thin but fluffy crust with mozzarella, prosciutto and arugula. Absolutely delicious and would definitely order more pizzas to try next time! For my second starter, I ordered the insalata acquarella that had mixed baby greens, cherry tomatoes, shaved fennel, thinly sliced watermelon radish, and a Dijon lemon dressing. It was a great portion so I shared a portion with my future father-in-law. My future mother-in-law ordered the carciofi alla griglia which is the grilled artichoke with a garlic lemon aoli which she absolutely loved. She said it was very flavorful and the artichoke was perfectly cooked. My fiancé ordered the polpo mediterraneo for his starter which is the pan seared octopus on a bed of chickpea purée and chorizo. The octopus had a great char and I enjoyed the bite of texture and the purée was creamy with a bit of meaty kick from the chorizo. For my entree, I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and it was so good I cleaned my plate. It had the right amount of meaty sauce to tagliatelle noodles ratio and it was so flavorful. I would recommend this as a pasta dish. My fiancé got the fish kabobs that had a mix of chargrilled brazino, shrimp, swordfish, and scallops. The presentation hanging was so grand. He finished it all. They have a good wine list with wines from Napa and Italy. They also have a cocktail list named after the names of the buildings / condos on this street. We live at the cove so we had to order the cove gin and tonic drink! The service was great! They were very attentive to our table and also let us try samples of the wine before deciding if that is what we wanted to order which is very nice. There's plenty of parking spaces available out front of the restaurant and also very walkable from many of the nearby buildings. There's a GREAT and extensive menu ranging from sandwiches, wraps, salads and pastas, all of which are deliciously crafted. And the prices are so fair that it will blow you away. They are open Monday to Friday from 10A - 3P. We won't be doing much cooking at home and that's for sure!!!! read more

I did not know this restaurant existed. I didn't even realize this restaurant was in this nondescript commercial building nestled between Tideline and the Lake Worth Beach and Casino, just officially over the Palm Beach line. But there I was to celebrate my mom's birthday in a lovely outside patio. And I have to tell you, the food and experience were magical. Very magical. Originally, we were going to dine somewhere else until my mom heard about this place. I'm glad she changed her mind and chose Acqua instead. I was super impressed with the cuisine and the service, with the patio's ambiance being amazing. At first, I thought the restaurant was located at the old Mulligan's until I realized otherwise. Of course, I didn't bother to use GPS based on my assumption. It's in the next commercial building, right before the Tideline Hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. One of the gentlemen opened and held the door open for us, knew we were part of my mom's birthday party, and led us to the table outside on the patio. The outdoor patio was screened and had a very nice wooden ceiling with torch-styled lights on the walls in between the screened openings. When the sun is setting, it's a really nice ambiance to enjoy with friends or take a date. The inside has more of a chic, aquatic feel, with the blue-lit bar counter being the centerpiece of the energy. I would come here to hang at the bar for drinks. They make delicious cocktails, but their list revolves more around wine and some beer. With respect to cocktails, the Aviation fits the bill. Served in a martini glass, this gin-based drink was light but fruity and tasty, with a marinated cherry nestled at the bottom. The cuisine here is delicious. Starting with the Tuna Tartare, my lady and I devoured it, enjoy each bite between the tuna, shredded greens, and avocado mousse. The risotto fruiti del mar was savory and satisfying, especially with the shrimp, scallops, and lobster tail. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was class. Very sweet and succinct with wonderful chocolatey goodness. Overall, this place deserves multiple visits. They have a great menu and hospitality for a terrific experience no matter the occasion. read more

The calamari was light and crispy and served with a nice light marinara dish . The crispy Brussel sprouts were caramelized and very nice . The star of the apps was a ahi tuna served with avocado and wonton chips . It was perfect, fresh and flavorful. We also had a roasted beet salad that they split in the back for us , unasked , very nice . For entrees , we all ordered something different and I can honestly say, all 11 of us were so happy . I only ate my Rigatoni al Pistachio but everyone was raving about how great their meal was . My husbands Cioppino was packed full of seafood. The Rollatino de Pollo was cooked perfectly, large and juicy with a nice crispy exterior. The Costoletta di Maiale (pork) was a large amazing chop . They had a full bar available but we were drinking nice wine . They had a great Italian wine list which was thoughtfully curated . We had a view by the glass whites and roses and 2 nice bottles. We had a Valpolicella Ripasso and Barbera D'Alba. Our service was perfect , the atmosphere was great, the restaurant was perfectly lovely and most importantly, the food was excellent. Overall food was very good and ambiance was great. The service is a little hit or miss as my water never got refilled and we waited a very long time to get the check but at least they don't rush you out of the place. First time I went here for dinner it was one of the worst dinning experience I ever had. It was not the food it was the terrible waiter. Could not tell you if the food as any good or not, everyone was so mad at the waiter. A couple of weeks later my wife and I decided let's give them another shot and just sit at the very cool bar and have dinner. Glad we did! Does a restaurant have to be perfect to get a 5? Nope. It can make up for a shortcoming with great service and good ambience. I'm so glad I found this great, modern Italian seafood spot that has the allure of a hip European Lounge but a classically trained chef that knows his stuff. We were seated and greeted by a super friendly host with a French accent. While his interaction with us was brief he was very welcoming. Our server was friendly as well. She gave us plenty of time to choose and eat our meal at our own pace. We ordered the Paloma (tequila drink) and my gf ordered the Acaua Sangria. My Paloma was excellent! It was balanced and strong. My gf loved her sangria and said the fruit was very fresh. I had a sip and it was pretty tasty. We tried out the calamari, octopus, and the tuna tartare. I've had these dishes at several places so it was interesting to see how their version would match up. Calamari: the breading is so delicious! The flavor im the breading is bold and really quite perfect for seafood. Hint of Cajun flare? Also tossed with an amazingly aromatic pepper, and the marinara is about as good as it gets. It's a large portion. The tuna tartare, a classic, was done very well. Tuna was tender and fresh, the avocado mousse tasted on point and the seaweed salad just ties it all together. Loved this. Octopus was grilled and served over a mouth-watering piquillo sauce that ended up being the star of the night for me. That sauce they serve and those potatoes that come with the octopus are the epitome of tapas! Excellent companions for cocktails and good convo. The octopus wasn't as tender as I've had it at other places I will admit. Ours was a bit more charred than I like, And the portion of octopus is a little small. With a potion that small I expect the octopus to be cooked better. The entree I chose was the tagliatelle bolognese and I am so glad I did. They must have an Italian grandma somewhere back there because this tasted about as homemade as pasta can be served. Sauce was packed with wonderful tomatoey goodness and the rich beef and pork flavor sealed the deal! We had to try the creme brûlée and the tiramisu since it seems to be a very popular choice. Clearly it deserves its same. The tiramisu is world class and the creme brûlée would've made Gordon Ramsey proud! Overall this is perhaps THE spot for the ultimate Italian tapas dinner experience. Acqua Cafe is a great choice for dining and it's hard to find fault in this restaurant. The first impression was that of the hostess Darlene and she is great as she is not only the welcoming face of the restaurant but I believe she doubles as the manager and she is friendly and hard working. The restaurant is comfortable with a somewhat contemporary design, nice bar and spotless bathrooms. Prices are a little less expensive than other Palm Beach (or environs) restaurants but the food is better than many establishments a little further north. Much better. A tuna tartare appetizer (Tartare di Tonino, $25) featured seaweed salad and this set it apart from most versions and though I've had better it was still good. A fettuccine pasta with shrimp (Fettuccine con Gamberi e Pesto, $30) had perfectly cooked pasta and I asked for the pesto on the side and this proved to be a good choice as the pasta had a light cream sauce and herbs and really didn't need anything else. The portion was a little skimpy with shrimp especially since they were cut up. Braised short ribs (Costine Corte, $42) were perfectly cooked, flavored nicely and served over polenta. We stayed for a while, enjoying a good bottle of somewhat fairly priced California wine - which augmented pre-dinner cocktails and never felt rushed. I must have driven by this restaurant for years and never knew it existed but I'm glad I found it and it is certainly one of the better restaurants in the area. read more

We were a group of 6, with 3 birthdays among us, on a Tuesday night and the staff and experience at Acqua Cafe could not have been better. I'd had a special surprise cake made by "Cakemaker to the Star" . . .at Ganache . . . and when I delivered it to Acqua in the afternoon Julian took care of all the details perfectly. The food was spectacular, portions wonderful and the presentation places Acqua in the "food art" category about Palm Beach area restaurants. We say outside and found the environment perfect, easy to carry on a contestation. Our waiter was off the charts . . . cheerful, funny and versed in every detail. Food, drinks and service were a solid 5 Stars. Acqua is rapidly (we live just down the road) becoming our go to choice when we have visiting guests. As a fun note . . . My husband chose this stylized restaurant and it was perfect. The blues set the tone of the theme. Hostess was inviting. Our waiter Isaiah (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was adorable. I started with a glass of Rosé and it was refreshing. I wanted to start with an appetizer I had never tried before and I was glad I did. The Artichoke soup came out plated lovely and hot! Not tepid but delightfully hot. As a fan of Artichokes this was magnificent! I could have licked the bowl. For my main meal I had the Cioppino that was very flavorful and the scallops were huge! The broth brought back memories of San Francisco! My hubby had salmon and penne and the plate was very full then very empty. To end our lovely evening I had coffee with a shot of Baileys yum!
