Great fish and chips place, especially for the valley. Mind you, we live in the desert so good seafood is not to be expected readily available like this. As for the food, we ordered the Skipper and Combo platter as we wanted to try a variety of items. Both platters come with cod but we also got to try the shrimp, clam strips, and seafood chowder. The cod is cooked to flaky tender perfection, the outer shell nice and crispy. I've read comments about the food lacking seasoning but fish and chips are generally meant to be lightly seasoned batter to allow the natural sweetness of the fish to come through. Then you also have the option of adding malt vinegar and dipping it in the tartar sauce (and of course salt if you want). On this note, they actually have a variety of sauces to choose from which just adds another layer of option to enjoy your fish and chips. We got the original tartar sauce and also a spicy one as well as a cocktail sauce. The fried shrimp was nicely paired with the cocktail sauce but I think one of the wait staff cleaning the tables corrected that it was prawn so I'm not sure if they have both, if not, I'm curious to try the prawns. The seafood chowder was a pleasant surprise as well as there's a fair amount of seafood in there instead of just tiny bits. You could taste seafood as opposed to a vegetable chowder you'd get at a different venue. The clam strips were okay, nothing special, but it became another food aside from chips that I could dip into the sauce. As for everything else, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They had a very warm family vibe about them. The place was clean and had a simple layout. There's a decent amount of seating and you could move the tables as needed for larger parties. It's a walk-up, order, seat yourself restaurant. Unfortunately the soda machine is behind counter though. The staff were very sweet and helpful when ordering. I got the captains platter and everything was tasty. Fried salmon was better than I thought, the other two fish taste like regular fish fry that you'd expect. I didn't like the lime sauce though, but classic tartar was good. Fries were crispy, nothing special. The clam chowder was very tasty though. Not real fishy, packed with clams, oysters, and shrimp. So good. Coleslaw was a great consistency and flavor as well, no bad aftertaste. All of that was $20. Not the cheapest but not the worst. read more

So many positive reviews here - I figured it was worth trying. Rest assured, they met expectations. The restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night. We tried both the beer battered cod and beer battered halibut baskets. You have the choice of french fries or coleslaw and one sauce. I loved that they offer seven housemade sauce options. ( tartar, jalapeño tartar, habañero tartar, cocktail, ranch, chipotle ranch and chipotle lime.) They also have ketchup and malt vinegar on the tables. They offer the option of panko breading which I'd be interested to try. We all got two piece baskets and found them more than filling. Your food comes out with the fish and fries piping hot, which is nice. My only concerns...They do only give you one small cup of sauce and you have to pay extra for more. My son wanted to get a drink refill but you have to ask someone to do this for you. The lines are long so trying to get help for anything could prove challenging. (He left without a refill since he didn't want to wait.) I'm hoping that if their business does well they might stay open until 8 p.m. every night, as 7 p.m. is a bit of an early time to close for dinner. Good afternoon from HOT Arizona, well today out running errands with Jen we spotted a new restaurant Jen has seen on Instagram pop up a few times called Seattle Fish House, well we both look at each other and ask if it's lunch time and decide yes so we stopped by to give it a try, The restaurant is very nice and nicely decorated / decor inside, there's plenty of seating inside, didn't see any outside seating. We looked over the menu and went with the Halibut fish n chips, we made a great choice as the fish was very good with a lite beer batter & the fries were delicious as well, the service was excellent from taking our order to bring us our lunch out to us. If you're in the mood for Fish n Chips along with several other food options give Seattle Fish House a try I think you'll be pretty happy as we were. read more

This new place specializes in Pacific Northwest themed fish tacos and fish and chips. Having lived in the Seattle area for 15 years and eaten more than my share of fish tacos and fish and chips, I'm an authority on the food. The food is great. I wish I had taken a better picture of the two orders of fish tacos. One was beer battered the other was panko crusted. The portions were large with a homemade slaw underneath the large piece of pollack. I didn't bite into the tortilla without getting a nice bite of fish with it. We ordered a side of fries and they were right out of the fryer, lightly battered and delicious. The location is OK, off Greenfield in a mostly abandoned strip mall. Decorations are ok- this is not fine dining. People were very friendly. Order came out freshly prepared. One thing I'll ask next time is for less slaw on the tortilla. The slaw overwhelmed the fish. I'm also going to order the fish and chips next time as well. You can get the fish grilled, blackened, beer battered and panko crusted. Plenty of options there. There are some other dishes like fish chowder, onion rings. Sides of cole slaw but the money dish is the fish. You can get pollack, salmon, halibut, shrimp or cod. So the variety is in the type of fish taco or fish and chip you want...not in ordering a cheeseburger. That's fine, the quality is very high even if the surroundings are not. I've read other comments from some people saying it's expensive. I disagree. $12.00 for two pollack tacos that I could not finish. The price goes up a little for halibut or salmon but I don't think the place is overpriced. Fresh fish is expensive. We'll be back. read more

I've been looking for a fish and chips place and Seattle Fish House is a really good one. I like that they have options for the fish (3 I believe), breading (panko or beer battered), and even tartar sauce (regular or jalapeño). I ordered the cod beer battered with a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw had golden raisins which I don't think I've ever had in my coleslaw but it was good. I also ordered some of their seafood chowder. For me, the chowder was the start of the show. I would go back just for the chowder. Every one that works there was very friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing! The batter is phenomenal and light. The fish and shrimp definitely tastes fresh. Not that premade stuff that's in the freezer section in the grocery store. Don't forget to get that chowder!!! Plus the slaw was perfect, and I believe I tasted golden raisins. Nice touch! My stomach was happy it wasn't mayo soup! The dipping sauces are delicious. Next time I'll get a jar if they have it. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Every one had a smile! Loved the fish house decor in the restaurant! Been wanting to try this place, since seeing it mentioned on FB foodie group. It's a small to medium size business with a simple menu of seafood particularly focused on fried fish. The place has about 12 tables and simply decorated with seaside memorabilia and very clean and orderly. The lady that took my order was so friendly & professional. In fact, all the servers were friendly. I really wanted to try their cod in Panko & Beer batter, but they generally serve their fish orders in sets. The lady suggested getting kids' meals to accomplish this ability to try fish prepared in different breading. I also ordered their calamari. One of the draws for me was that they offered different twists on sauces, especially tarter (Habanero & Jalapeño and of course regular/plain) and they were bomb. You get the reg tang of the tartar, but the hint of a kick was awesome. The calamari came with a chipotle lime ketchup which was a nice fresh flavor. Everything was prepared and seasoned well and I think when I go back I will stick with the beer battered. Nothing wrong with panko, definitely lighter, fish was moist in both batters, but traditional beer battered is the way to go. I will definitely be back. read more

Everything is cooked well, but they don't salt/ season any of it. I had the plate with the cod, haddock, and salmon, and they were all fried to perfection, but without being salted, they're all pretty bland. With salt, they were much better. The colossal coconut prawns were pretty good, but I don't think they cleaned out the poop sacks. I'll probably return, but if it's all unseasoned a second time, there won't be a third visit for me. read more

My brother and I dropped in here for lunch after seeing reviews on Yelp. I ordered the beer battered halibut with coleslaw and my brother ordered the beer battered cod with French fries. The lady at the counter was so sweet and polite and explained everything to us. The restaurant was packed and the line never stoped the whole time we were there. The fish was absolutely DELICIOUS! The beer batter was light and crunchy and the Cole slaw was really good. I'm so sorry that I forgot to take photos, but we will be returning to try other menu items. My only suggestion would be that they allow you to add on items (shrimp/prawns/coconut prawns) and not have to order the whole meal to try other items. Huge portion, perfect spice and coupled with the habanero tartar - chefs kiss! My man all but licked his soup bowl and raved at every bite. He was also heads down and all in while eating his halibut. I hate giving a bad review. My wife and I heard about the new Seattle fish and chips restaurant on Greenfield and Main Street in Mesa. We were desperately hoping for a new place to rave about. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. When you walk in the staff gleefully greet you as you walk up to the counter to order. I got beer battered Cod 3 pieces with Coleslaw and Habanero sauce. My wife got the Panko combination plate with fries and Jalapeño sauce. Our bill was $35. Once we ordered we received a table number and found a table to sit at. The room was clean and well lit with various fish ambiance around the room. Our orders came quickly and were delivered to our table. The fish was bland and greasy with little flavoring or spices. The coleslaw was good but a larger portion than I normally get with fish and chips. My wife said it seemed like the Panko breading was overcooked and the fries were cold. I support local restaurants even with inflated prices as long as I can get a decent meal. But even with friendly staff the food failed to impress. read more
