The booking process was easy and completed via e-mail. This aspect was handy as I didn't have to leave the house or make a phone call on a busy day. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my questions during the booking process. On the day of the party, we showed up a few minutes early to put up some decorations. A waitress and waiter came and greeted us right away. The owner even came by, promptly, and introduced himself to me. The kindess and professionalism was outstanding. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name! I feel terribly that I can't provide it.) did an outstanding job! We were a big group of people and she took all of our orders, answered questions, and helped us with anything we needed. I hope it can be determined who worked that day so she can be given her kudos as she was lovely! Lastly, the kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. I was impressed by their speed and the food was delicious. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't have a chance to say thank you one final time before we left. So, thank you again, Woody's! My husband became violently ill after eating the chicken sandwich and spent the night repeatedly vomiting. The chicken itself was extremely dark and overdone-looking on the outside, but the inside was strangely wet. We became sick after this meal and experienced what we believe was food poisoning from the chicken. What is even more unacceptable is the complete lack of response from the restaurant. I contacted them directly, explained what happened, described the condition of the chicken, and requested a refund. Days later, I have received no response or acknowledgment whatsoever. Getting sick after a meal is bad enough, but when a customer reports a potential food-safety problem involving chicken, I would expect management to take it seriously and at minimum respond. We went here for a nice date night and instead my husband spent the night vomiting. Between the condition of the chicken, the illness afterward, and management ignoring our complaint, we will not be returning.
