Our waiter was wonderful, knowledgeable on the menu, and efficient. Our food came out relatively fast, once our orders were taken. The White Wine Chicken was so delicious and moist, the gnocchi was great as was the Filet Mignon. You've also gotta love the mini $4 dessert offering. The only thing I don't recommend is the Trout. You go out to have a good meal and you do, then the desserts leave a bad taste in your mouth, hardly, because they are tiny. I'm not going to lie- we were frustrated from a not so great experience nearby, but Karina, the bartender, absolutely made our evening. She was amazing. After we spent a few minutes venting, we ordered a martini and a Caymus flight- the Cabernet has always been one of my favorites- and I equally enjoyed the other selections. We enjoyed everything about the charcuterie board- it was excellent. For entrees, the lamb loin was recommended. Chef prepared the lamb perfectly, broccolini and mashed potatoes were very good. The trout was seasoned to perfection and the brussel sprouts were good although cooked a pinch too long, the broccoli rabe balanced it all out. Went to dinner for my daughter's birthday and Kristen did a great job making the day special - so much so that we took our niece for a start of the semester lunch 2 weeks later (Omar was our top notch server this weekend). Meals worth repeating included the gnocchi, sweet potato skillet, kid's flat bread and filet (adult menu first time, kid's menu the second time). We ordered the mushroom flatbread which was flavorful, but would have liked thinly sliced sautéed mushrooms over thicker quartered ones. Charcuterie board was very reasonably priced and well thought out with cheddar and goat cheeses, thinly sliced meats, grainy mustard, fig jam and flatbread crisps - delicious (note for egg/nut allergy people - something on this board set my daughter off). Additionally, we ordered skillet Mac and cheese which was just OK and not a ton of flavor. Cheeseburger was a huge hit - other daughter asked my husband for a bite and ate about half! Shot glass desserts should be a thing at every restaurant - perfect size after a filling dinner - my go to here is raspberry cannoli and love it! We also ordered turtle cheesecake, pecan pie and an egg/ nut free oatmeal cream cookie and all are consistent winners. Wonderful that my allergic daughter can also get something here. Overall the service is a 6 out of 5 as a previous reviewer shared, the ambience is fancy without being stuffy and the food is consistently good. Only suggestions to make it more perfect - and then that could get dangerous for my wallet! - maybe 1 or 2 more vegetarian entrees and a curated craft beer menu. Seasons 52 has THE BEST FILET I've ever had and I've had a lot of filets at steakhouses. It was so tender and flavorful. I savored every bite! The asparagus and mashed potatoes with mushrooms made it even better if that's even possible. Oh, and I added grilled scallops, again so tender, to my meal making it surf and turf that I challenge anyone to match it! The steakhouse feel is all around from the dark mahogany wood to the genuine leather seating and dimmed lighting. To top it off, the service was impeccable! The food was great but a cucumber basil cocktail was in order. We took our daughter for dinner at one of her favorite places before sending her off on Amtrak back to school, I was chocking back tears. The service and ambulance is always a delight. The only thing that could be better is if they used less salt on the fish. The mushroom soup is fab and so are the salads, I recommend getting one with the sesame salad dressing for an appetizer. The menu changes with the seasons with a few staples that are always there. I usually go to the Seasons 52 in Edison but we were in Princeton and gave this place a try. The decor, ambience, food are all consistent. We ordered the Brussel sprouts but we didn't like it. Our waitress quickly offered a replacement of a different side, which was very nice. I ordered my usual favorite- the pork chops. The flavors are good and works well with the accompaniments that it comes with. The pesto chicken flatbread is another favorite tbat we always get. I first went to a seasons 52 actually for a dinner party after a really small wedding, and it was lovely! After that experience, when I visited NJ with my bf recently and spotted this seasons 52, I insisted we go for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and didn't want to wait for a table so we sat at the bar and it was great! The drinks were a tad sweet for me but still delicious. We got the tuna tartare as an app. I didn't love the avocado mousse thing and would've preferred just chunks of avocado but my bf loved the dish and I still thought it was really tasty. I got the scallops dish which was good and my bf got the lamb dish that was really good. The ambiance is nice and a tiny bit fancy but still a little casual, which was fantastic. This location served for my family "go to" spot. I fell like this location slowly deteriorating with overall service and specifically "food quality". We ordered Dry-aged honey pork and a salad either tuna(forgot the name) and it was just terrible. The plating was all over the place. Dishes were dirty with water stain and you can smell the stain before your food. My order, the honey pork was disgustingly presented. There was no flavor at all. It just sweat. I cant taste any part of the meat cause the sweetness conquers the whole dish. The marinade vegies has mixed raisins(I assume??) cause it was all burnt and just caramelized with sweetness. A half way thru my dish my mouth was all numbed from sweetness. Everytime I experienced this type of restaurant, I honestly think that if owner even cares? I bet the owner cant even remember when was the last time he tasted any of their dishes. Front receptionist were very unpleasant as we arrived then as they seated us right behind the reception desk we had to hear their talking the whole time we were staying. They had a dull face with no emotion as they were "greeting" us then once the owner or manager whoever that guy was, those ladies start giggling and pleasant all of sudden. The waiter didnt even bother ask us about "allergy" with food but want to get us out so he can go back to his buddy and chat. As we finished our eating, i wanted to find our waiter but not seen, so i was trying to make eye contact with receptionist who was free hut nothing to do, were not even bother to come and ask what she can do or if there is anything i need but ended up waiting until waiter decided to show up. He then asked if we want to take anything home and said he will be back with check and container. He came back with check and desert tray. Dude, you didnt even ask if we want desert. I hope the owner read this and hopefully he cares enough about his business and make the corrections. Until then i wouldn't recommend this location, try other locations people. read more

After visiting Seasons 52 in Edison and Bridgewater, I decided to try out the Princeton location with a friend. We stopped by at around 7 pm on Tuesday, and were surprised to find that the restaurant was pretty busy with people coming from work. Fortunately, they were still able to seat us immediately as there were several open tables. We ordered the very reasonably priced roasted tomato flatbread and pesto chicken and fresh mozzarella flatbread. Don't let the low price and calorie count of the flatbread fool you; one flatbread is definitely filling enough for a meal. However, I also ordered the crab polenta, which was surprisingly enjoyable. The tomato flatbread had an unwelcome piece of pepperoni, which would not be appreciated by vegetarians, but the waitress kindly offered to bring out a new flatbread if we wanted. I also found a chicken bone within my pizza, but other than that, it was pretty good! For dessert, we were presented with a tower of options in cute glasses. We ultimately settled on the Belgian chocolate s'mores mini and the cookies n creme mini. The marshmallow was actually a quarter marshmallow and my Oreo seemed a bit soggy. Although the display was very impressive, it would probably be easier to review all the options on a menu along with the prices. read more

Anniversary and graduation dinner. We were slow to plan, and couldn't eat in town, so chose here. It was a great choice! Flatbread app was lovely and right size light bite for five of us. Variety of entrees; we had scallops, chicken, lamb loin, salmon, and tuna, and everyone was happy. Desserts are small and terrific; variety of chocolate (for me ... else why bother) and others in small, double shot glass sizes. Wine list was surprisingly good for a chain. Service outstanding and attentive. Room buzzy but not overwhelming. Five of us in a half circle booth could converse just fine. Consistently friendly, consistently professional and always going that extra step to make your experience special. Wife and I were there Friday, 6:30 so mid dinner madness. Had a reservation-requested to be in the bar, we like the vibe- but managed to snag 2 seats AT the bar, giving back the requested bar table to a Manager who was very grateful. It was BUSY. Rt. 1, NJ Princeton busy. But the bartenders and wait staff busted their backs and kept everyone satisfied. Despite that, the service was prompt and pleasant and the food came out hot. I have also often dined at Seasons 52 in Bridgewater, and this one in Princeton upholds the same high standards and also has the sleek, sophisticated decor. My sister and I really enjoyed our meal. We had the lobster bisque, the balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, scallops with mascarpone risotto, the Alaska butterfish with wilted spinach and ponzu reduction, the cheesecake and key lime mini indulgences and cappuccinos.
