Mushroom pizza
Wei M.

My family and I came to Princeton for lunch on a snowy day. The restaurant we were targeting didn't work out and decided to go to Teresa's Pizza and Wine Bar. We were glad we did. This was the perfect spot for a family lunch. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, creating an inviting atmosphere for a relaxed meal on a snowy day. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and both were absolutely outstanding. My daughter ordered the meatball and it was equally as good. The mushroom pizza had a rich, earthy flavor, with fresh mushrooms, perfectly melted cheese, and a delightful crust that struck the right balance between crispy and chewy. Add little more cheese and hot pepper flakes, you will have a very good bite. The pepperoni pizza was just as impressive--loaded with pepperoni that had a great smoky flavor, complemented by a slightly spicy tomato sauce. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Great food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere make this a must-visit for pizza lovers in Princeton. We will definitely be back for sure.

An absolute gem in the center of downtown Princeton. Absolutely fresh pasta and pizzas here, great salads, a fantastic selection of wines and beer! We go here all the time when we visit Princeton, such a fun place! You'll walk in and you will just love the ambiance, the big beautiful selection of wines It's also right in the heart of town across from the Nassau Inn and also across the street from the Hulfish parking lot. Had a perfect experience here, really fun to split the things on their menu! For an appetizer we split their Quattro Formaggio pizza! Oh my God, mozzarella, fontina, herb, ricotta, Gorgonzola, hazelnuts, and topped with hot honey! Wow! It's more of a personal pizza size so fear or not if you want to split it with somebody as an appetizer! Not sure if there is anything better you could have for an app! The hot honey really pushed me over the top, put me right in heaven! Next up came the chicken milanese! We split this too! This came with two very large, lightly fried chicken cutlets! I usually do not order fried food, but this was so lightly fried. It came with arugula, mozzarella, red onions, cherry tomatoes, with a balsamic glaze on top! I loved this dish. It was also quite filling and really hit the spot! Finally came our main course which we also split. Drumroll for this one! The gnocchi eggplant, wow what a must order!!! Gotta say this really put me over the top and we thought it was just like when we were in Sorrento, Italy! Same flavor absolutely delicious order this one without a doubt! Another vegetarian dish by the way! I'm not a vegetarian, but they have lots of choices here!! I can't recommend this place high enough if you're looking for a great spot right in the center of town that has it all! Terrific food, terrific atmosphere, with a gigantic selection of wines and drinks!! Oh service was excellent too!

Balsamico chicken pasta

Never been let down at Teresa's over the past 15 years. They have the cutest outdoor seating in Princeton and the food is phenomenal. Service is usually quick and friendly. The Balsamico pasta dish is my go-to, but the specials are always great. Colorful salads, the best minestrone I've had in years, good pizzas, and pasta dishes that are just as good if not better than my Italian family's.

We came here on Christmas Eve and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was nice but he was moving around so much it made us feel a little rushed as he was a bit impatient when we were ordering. He told us the specials and I ordered their special pizza, the pizza Bianca. This was phenomenal! It was a classic cheese pizza topped with soaked eggplant in milk and then fried, dollops of ricotta, Calabrian chili oil and hot honey. I normally don't order vegetarian meals too often but I would order this everywhere if it was offered. 10/10! Lumanche alle vodka: 7/10, pasta was undercooked and it didn't have the creaminess I was looking for like I've had before. Pancini: 5/10, it wasn't horrible but there was a weird aftertaste to the sauce that I don't know how to describe. The scallops were nice but the sauce ruined the pasta for me. I wouldn't order this again. Tiramisu: 9/10, it was really good! The filling was delicious and creamy. The marscapone flavor shined through. The cake could be a bit firmer it was a bit too soggy for me. I need to mention that we ordered a gluten free pasta as a child in our party had a gluten allergy and unfortunately he did come in contact with gluten in his food. The manager did apologize and told us that it was cooked with separate water and that his chef took special precautions. He comped us for the meal but I would just be cautious about ordering gluten free here if you have a severe allergy. Thankfully he doesn't have a severe allergy so all was well :)

18 dollars for a total burnt bottom no thank you!

What a shame a total burnt bottom. They should be more conscious of what they serve! Take out is as important as dine in !

Unpretentious, classic pizza and pasta wine bar located in the heart of Princeton. My parents and I wanted a place with good, hearty food without being too fancy, and Teresa's was definitely it. Service was very quick, and there's plenty of seating in this restaurant. Pizza is made at the bar, was thin crust, and perfectly crispy. Pasta was cooked al dente, which I prefer as to not be overcooked, and the lumache vodka pasta was amazing! No one seems to be talking about this restaurant in Princeton, but I think it's a gem that you need to check out.

Teresa's Pizza Wine Bar is an excellent stop if you are in Princeton. The menu isn't anything extraordinary as they sell pizza, pasta, and other Italian dishes. They have a selection of wines and other drink options to pick from as well. Their pizzas are around 10 inch pizzas and they are decent. I enjoyed their pasta bolognese more than the pizza. The bolognese was on the sweeter side which I enjoyed. It's a decent spot worth a try.

Heading to Princeton and wanted to try a place new to us. The cute vibe drew us in and we felt cozy in a corner tucked away from the busy bar. The menu was simply amazing - pizza,of course, pasta, chicken and more. The meatball appetizer had our table raving! A few people shared 'better than my grandmother's' and I had to agree. The wine, Prosecco and drink menu met the needs of every one at the table and the Montepulciano red was loved by many. I ordered a sausage pizza with vegan mozzarella, since it's never on the menu, and I LOVED every bite! Had to restrain myself from consuming it all in one sitting The bolognese was devoured as was the lumanche alla vodka No room for dessert - this time Highlight: the waitlist! We added ourselves on as we drove into town and waited less than 5 minutes when we arrived. We will be back!

They deliver on everything you would expect and somehow make it look easy, even with a full house. Amazing vibe, incredible food, go here, bring everyone.

Steps away from Princeton university. We sat outside, it had nice big heaters. I love the wine glass it has a "T" etched on the glass! T for Tiffany The panzanella salad is fresh, the pizza was good. The burrata was fresh. So good. Loved the decorations w the giant Sophia Lauren photos. The wine wall rack by the entrance is impressive! Parking was an issue, must have been an event going on.

Brielle P.

Decent salad and pizza in downtown Princeton but severely overpriced. They charge for bread with olive oil .. $16 for a salad with romaine, 8 pieces of small mozzarella and tomatoes. Same with the Caesar salad. We waited well over 30 minutes on a busy Friday for a table for 3. Once seated our waitress was really nice and efficient. The food did come out fast. One of our pizzas was burnt and the other undercooked.

Second time here, food was great. I was in good company and we had a great time. We ordered the bolognese and a pizza. The pizza was amazing. Bolognese was good. We shared both plates. The drinks were very good.

Here I go again--another French bistro I absolutely adore…read more Christine's French Bistro is everything you want in a cozy, decadent French spot: small, intimate, softly lit with sconces, and anchored by a beautiful bar you can dine at or just sip champagne and linger. Let's be honest--I come here for one reason: the soufflés. They are my kryptonite. Sweet or savory, they never disappoint. I've had the chocolate (rich, decadent, flawless), though I'm still chasing my ultimate favorite--the elusive Grand Marnier soufflé. One day... Beyond that: * Mussels + champagne = always a win * Service is warm and welcoming * Prices feel fair for the quality and experience This place has become part of my ritual when I'm in the area. I'll fly into Newark Liberty International Airport, hop on the Amtrak Acela, get off in Princeton, head straight here, and yes--plan my trip around a soufflé. No regrets. The location is perfect--right in the heart of Princeton, which is one of those charming, walkable towns with tree-lined streets and that classic, almost European feel. There's garage parking nearby, but honestly, once you're there, you won't need your car. Perfect for: * Date night * Dessert and champagne with friends * Solo bar seating (highly recommend) Bottom line: Elegant, cozy, and worth going out of your way for--especially if you love a proper soufflé. Life's too short not to eat well. Go make it happen.

One diner had the lamb special which was supposed to be served with a sauce but was dry and flavorless. The accompanying black rice was just there. My mom's salmon seemed to be cooked well, we asked for medium and that's what she got. The tiramisu was good, and I am not generally a fan. The mocktail that ordered-basil gimlet was a nice balance of sweet and sour. Overall, really giving it a 3.5 but based upon comparison to my other 4 star ratings, I had to bring it down a bit. It has a rustic farmhouse feel (wood floors with wide boards, multiple fireplaces) but still comes across as more upscale than your typical tavern. The dining room has a warm atmosphere without being too loud, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. We started with the seasonal pickle plate (beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, fennel, olives) and the bread plate (three different breads with two different butters and olive oil). Both were a good way to kick things off. The pickled vegetables had a nice variety and the bread was fresh and paired well with the accompaniments. For our entrees, my wife went with the homemade pasta while I chose the Wagyu NY strip steak cooked medium rare with bourbon maple glazed root vegetables. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and had great flavor. The root vegetables added a nice sweetness that complemented the dish well. My wife really enjoyed her pasta and had enough to take some home. To finish the night, we had the mozzarella gelato (yes, you read that right - mozzarella), along with tea for my wife and coffee and Sambuca for me. The gelato was a unique dessert and a nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress Jemma was very friendly and attentive throughout the night without being overbearing. Overall, everything was very good. This is definitely a place we would return to, especially for a nice dinner out.

This was a large historic farmhouse with a menu that changes often. They source most of their food…read moreright from their farms which was cool to see. The service was very friendly, and the food came out promptly. They also provided complimentary champagne for our celebration. For appetizers, the duck bacon and vegetable fritters ($16) and hand-made potato and cheese pierogies ($19) were ordered. The fritters consisted of house cured and smoked duck breast with a whipped lemon ricotta. There were two present and each were fried perfectly. The lemon ricotta was definitely needed to pair with the salty fritter. It was a great compliment. The pierogies were of the squash variety and they came with caramelized onions and sauteed greens. There were about five or six substantial size pierogies and each sized appropriately. The squash layer really made them airy and the filling was tasty. The onions were a little too soft as there was some type of broth present. The greens were ideal though. For an entrée, I had the signature tavern burger ($38). It was a cold smoked grass-fed ground beef patty with caramelized onion, bone marrow, bacon jam, and potato wedges. I also had the gruyere and bacon added to the burger for no extra fee. When I initially ordered, I thought the bone marrow was just going to be on the burger, but I was wrong. Right next to the burger was one of bigger bone marrows I have seen. It was very good with the onions and bacon pieces. The marrow itself paired nicely with the bacon and onions. For the burger itself, I opted for it to be medium rare, and it came out perfect. There was an ideal ratio of bread to filling. The bacon jam was not too overpowerful, and the meat was seasoned well. The potato wedges which I believe were cooked in tallow were also large. They were crispy and seasoned nicely too. It was a well put together meal. I also tried the lamb being offered that night which I believe came with a lamb sausage and a shallot tzatziki. This was solid as well, but there were a number of fatty pieces I was surprised to see. For dessert, the mozzarella gelato ($12) was ordered. Yes, this had to be ordered to give it a try, and it was well received. There was not an overpowerful flavor of cheese, which I was afraid of. It did taste like mozzarella, but not overwhelming. The actual gelato was very creamy too, which I am sure helped. Will I go back? I would.
