Delicious food and drinks. Amazing service. Beautiful interior with cozy ambience. What's not to love! Great upscale seafood restaurant with a large bar that was lively but highly enjoyable for lunch. Love the torched banana dessert!

Eddie V's is a top notch establishment! Wonderfully elegant atmosphere and fantastic service. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were all amazing. Highly recommend!

My Wife took me here for my birthday and I must say this place is fabulous. The waiter (Lido) was an absolute pleasure and great host. He made sure we had everything we didn't know we needed. The place was vibrant with beautiful decor and a great mixture of people. The food was amazing!!!! We had the lobster tacos for a starter and it was by far the best taco I ever ate. We split a 22oz ribeye which was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. We accompanied the steak with crab fried rice, while a little on the salty side we had asparagus to balance it out. Finished off with a nice little surprise desert from our waiter and had a couple of drinks throughout the night. By far one of the best experiences, I will definitely be back!!!

First time here but they just opened. Very nicely decorated - kinda upscale NY restaurant. Service was great. Food, we came for happy hour and tried a number of different dishes and ordered a couple of things from the main menu. The cocktail was really good. It turned out the food was a lot more than we had anticipated - it was very generously portioned. Will be back!

So the reason for the 2/5 is because when I went on 9/7, the best meal and service I've had at any Eddie V's I've been to.... Server, I think named Matt = amazing. Efficient, helpful and not "overdone". Ambiance reminds me of the Nashville Location without the giant chandeller. Then I think wow, that was the best steak at an Eddie V's I've ever had (me = long time eddie v/ capital grille go-er-er) which brings to tonight on 9/18 I did a mix of a few happy hour items and the steak. The steak from 9/7 was 10/10, today (excluding the steak not being cooked right the firist time) was like a 5-6/10 which is problem for a place like Eddie V's. How can we go from the literal BEST 2 weeks ago to hamburger meat 2 weeks later. Server was nice, management nice... accommodating to which i appreciated, but then the 20 mins for cocktails (during dinner which inevitably stalls the meal) and dessert was very nice, but again... very long wait time for a Thursday night . I'm disappointed tonight, not their best night. I had this issue at a capital grille where the inconsistencies made dining feel like AC on a hot table. Q. Recommend or no? A. I'd go every other day if it was like 9/7, my cousin and I loved it spent like $200PP and tipped well of course.... I wouldn't return for a night like tonight, disappointed. Tonight was a 2/5, so an average of 3.5 between both nights. Needs work maybe I'll try again in a month or two

Lovely atmosphere, very romantic, and the service was top notch. Food was spectacular- I would definitely recommend to try. My steak was cooked perfectly and the drinks were on point! Def will be back :)

Welcome Eddie V's! Such a wonderful addition to the food scene in the area. The service was crisp and very attentive! Almost too attentive but I like they were aimed at pleasing each guest! From The receptionist, manager and our server....great service! The food was prepared to perfection. Tuna tartare was very good. The calamari was fresh and delicious. The accompanying sauce was worth taking home! Though oyster rockerfella is not on the weekend menu...I inquired and would you believe it appeared? It was outstanding! I had the lamb and my wife has the scallops! The arugula goat cheese salad was another level! Bravo! The banana foster was exceptional! A great gastronomical experience! The ambiance was class and intimate! Plenty of servers and the value exceeded expectations! A must if you want a high end dining experience!

I don't even know where to start, this restaurant did not disappoint in any way at all!! 10000/10 From the delightful customer service to the amazing food and let me not forget the live band that plays from 6-9. We came for my moms birthday and they were so attentive, especially for people coming to a seafood restaurant with seafood allergies, everything was handled so well. They even decorated the table for her birthday and had a card waiting for her! We had n array of menu items and each one was AMAZING. lollipop lamb chops were a hit!! Wagyu Dumplings?! 100/10 and the dessert... y'all just come on down and get you some Eddie Vs. I will be back for sure! Special thanks to our server Fionna she truly took care of us!! And special thanks to the host or manager that put our surprise song request in to the band! Truly an amazing experience for celebrating my moms birthday

Great ambiance with the piano bar/ V lounge. I have dined here twice ( dinner and Happy hour). I enjoyed the happy hour in the piano room. The oysters were delicious but I really enjoyed the crab cake and the bullet sour. Our service with Miles was wonderful.

Happy Hour menu.

Eddie V's recently opened in Princeton, NJ. I've eaten there 3 times in the bar area and love the food. The bartenders and servers are amazing. The bar is super busy around happy hour which affects how long it takes to get a drink but that is to be expected for a new establishment. I really love that they have live music every single night at 6:30. The music is so good too, jazz, soul, R&B, yacht, etc. It's a bit on the expensive side and the HH menu isn't very happy but I don't go there for that, I love the vibe and reg menu:

Au Gratin Cheddar Potatoes
Toastitos T.

We have gone to any of these three times with a mixed bag of results. The first time was shortly after they opened. Although pricey, the food was outstanding as well as the service. They typically ask if you are celebrating something special and on our first time there we were celebrating our wedding anniversary anniversary. They provided complementary round of Prosecco anniversary dessert. To top this off, they provided some long stemmed roses which lasted for weeks. The two subsequent times that we went were both good but the food quality dropped off a tad. In summary, the food and the service are excellent, but don't be surprised from the whooshing sound since that is the cash being sucked out of your wallet!

We are bar people so we sit there if it's just the 2 of us. Jackie the bartender is absolutely amazing! She makes a delicious dirty martini (and all drinks) Over the winter I did dry January and she made me a fun mocktail which was very nice of her! The filet is perfectly tender and the bernaise sauce is the best I've had out. Has a nice lemon tone, which I love the brightness of the acidity. The fries are like McDonald's but a step up, and creamed spinach is also a favorite. It is heavier on the cream and cheese side which we enjoy! This time around we did not get dessert but the Witherspoon Sundae is a MUST I also love the oyster sampler app which is nice to try different varieties!

We started with cosmos, which were good (though not quite perfect). I ordered the turkey BLT, served with homemade potato chips that honestly stole the show. Our server, Noel, was attentive and thoughtful, even surprising us with complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Cons: The Witherspoon Burger was ordered medium to medium-well but came out fully well done. It still had good flavor, but the doneness was off. The fries were underwhelming and nothing particularly memorable. We also ordered the toasted pound cake with strawberries and cream--while the toasted outer layer was delicious, the rest of the cake didn't quite live up to it, and we ended up leaving much of it uneaten. Overall: Between the lovely ambiance, great service, and solid food, we'd still consider coming back--though there's a bit of room for improvement when it comes to consistency.

As we were leaving I reconfirmed it with the person at the host's desk ( seemed to be the manager) , who apologized and said maybe our waiter missed it . But it was a noticeable miss that cannot be overlooked, as that was the purpose of our dinner here. End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . Salmon with risotto , Halibut & Branzino cooked to perfection served with flavorful sides. For dessert, it was the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cup . The brownie was soft and not too sweet, slightly warm and it vanished in a few seconds. Peanut butter cup was a dense donut texture with candied peanuts We hoped that at least one of the desserts would be served with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday but they missed it and didn't care enough despite letting them know when marking the reservation. I loved everything about the experience at Agricola, but their lack of attention to detail stuck out like a sore thumb , as the poor communication between their front desk and wait staff dampens the guests' experience , making it a not-so-great finish .

In contrast to their far more expansive location in Morristown, the Princeton location is noticeably more "intimate" with Manhattan inspired table crowding. Not enough to detract from a wonderful meal but certainly worth noting. Five stars all day long. PS... no credit card surcharge. A surprise that certainly puts a smile on my face.

For years I have been boring friends, family and anyone who would listen about the wretched state of service in the US, unfortunately made even more dismal by the pandemic. Well, I'm happy to report that service isn't dead, it's just lounging in the witness protection program at a place called the Perch at Peacock. Service here is as gracious and precise as a metronome and is a welcome respite from the current shambolic state of things on planet earth. And before I forget, the food... almost matching the service which is saying something. I absolutely loved the Restaurant Week Hangar Steak and Tomato Bisque with a finger sandwich of grilled cheese and lobster. Tastes that I'm unlikely to replicate as I return to the assorted diners and dives that are not privy to the safe harbor of witness protection and the unwashed remnants of the one percent. Damn. I almost don't have to say it, an easy five stars.

Sadly, our weekday meal was a disappointment. My friend and I were only one of two parties dining in the restaurant. The menu overall feels old and dated. It features Just the classics, which is fine if executed well, but the execution was seriously lacking. The little gem salad featured pickled cucumbers in a very sharp vinegar sitting next to overdressed, lettuce and kale. It also had very large round carrots, which I think were completely unnecessary. The complimentary bread was brought to the table, warm and featured little mini salads on the side, which was a thoughtful touch. My entree of duck was a substitute for the more exciting braised short ribs mentioned initially. The breast was tough and chewy and the bread crumb on the leg was mushy and not crisp. Desert was our last hope but the flourless cake proved to be a hard, tough dome. Shout out for the kind and thoughtful wait staff! Overall, however, a let down. What a shame! There are too many excellent restaurants in the Princeton area and a clientele that definitely have a global palate so I worry this place might not last.

Here I go again--another French bistro I absolutely adore…read more Christine's French Bistro is everything you want in a cozy, decadent French spot: small, intimate, softly lit with sconces, and anchored by a beautiful bar you can dine at or just sip champagne and linger. Let's be honest--I come here for one reason: the soufflés. They are my kryptonite. Sweet or savory, they never disappoint. I've had the chocolate (rich, decadent, flawless), though I'm still chasing my ultimate favorite--the elusive Grand Marnier soufflé. One day... Beyond that: * Mussels + champagne = always a win * Service is warm and welcoming * Prices feel fair for the quality and experience This place has become part of my ritual when I'm in the area. I'll fly into Newark Liberty International Airport, hop on the Amtrak Acela, get off in Princeton, head straight here, and yes--plan my trip around a soufflé. No regrets. The location is perfect--right in the heart of Princeton, which is one of those charming, walkable towns with tree-lined streets and that classic, almost European feel. There's garage parking nearby, but honestly, once you're there, you won't need your car. Perfect for: * Date night * Dessert and champagne with friends * Solo bar seating (highly recommend) Bottom line: Elegant, cozy, and worth going out of your way for--especially if you love a proper soufflé.
