My boss talked about this company from day one when I started my new career in NC. He said he was taking us up to NJ for work but really for the food here. This place did not disappoint. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent everything. Our waiter was awesome and took care of us. I ordered the Tomatillo al Limoncello that was on as a special. Awesome homemade pasta and the scallops were on point. I was worried that the cream sauce would be too heavy but it was not. Only thing I wish I would have gotten with that meal would be like a homemade dinner roll to eat more of that sauce...so good. I am so glad we came here for dinner...I will definitely be back!

Came to Spigola for a late birthday dinner, and the experience was excellent from beginning to end. Even though we arrived later in the evening, the restaurant was very accommodating, and the staff was warm, polite, and welcoming. Our server was fantastic, well-mannered, informed, and genuinely friendly, which really made the night feel special. I ordered a steak, and it was cooked perfectly - tender, flavorful, and exactly how I like it. The freshly made garlic bread was another standout. I haven't been eating bread lately, but I had to indulge... and it was absolutely worth it! The restaurant has a large bar inside that adds a lively touch to the atmosphere while still feeling relaxed and comfortable. It's located in a plaza behind the Wawa on Route 130, with plenty of parking available. Overall, it was a great place to celebrate and unwind.

Wrong Turn, Right Restaurant My wife and I had just picked up supplies to build a zen meditation fountain in our backyard (because nothing says tranquility like arguing over plumbing parts in a Lowe's parking lot). We made a wrong turn on the way home, and somehow ended up at Spigola Restaurant and Bar in Hamilton. Best wrong turn we've ever made. We walked in hungry, tired, and still slightly bickering about PVC pipe--within minutes, we were totally disarmed by the warm atmosphere and our amazing waitress, Daphne. She was funny, fast, and somehow knew exactly what we needed before we did. If you watch The Bear, you know how chaotic a kitchen can be--Spigola felt like the polished, grown-up version of that world, where everything works and nobody's screaming "Yes, Chef!" (Though I might've whispered it when the short rib hit the table.) The short rib was fall-apart tender and rich. The grilled octopus was charred just right--crispy edges, soft inside, like they fished it out of the Mediterranean that morning. And the chocolate mousse cake? Absolute perfection. My wife tried to share it evenly. I respectfully declined. We didn't mean to end up at Spigola. But now we'll be going back on purpose.

I recently attended the inauguration/Grand Opening at Spigola Vino e Cucina in Hamilton Township New Jersey, this restaurant has been my regular stop for business meetings, luncheons banquets all types of entertainment. Always a great success for the past 25+ years. It was recently sold and no changes to staff or menu except upgrades and take place. The place looks fabulous. The food is over the top service as well. The ribbon-cutting at the opening was a great success. We were rocking everybody to try it again. Absolutely friendly high-quality, and an outstanding Chef & Staff.. The new owners are highly qualified restaurant tours and successful entrepreneurs in the business world & and bring a very new and fresh look and flavor to a long time existing Italian restaurant, which should go on for many many many years.

The food was delicious, our server did his best with our party but they should have had 2 servers for such a large group. The restaurant itself was a very elegant place. I would visit again.

It was…read morenoon when the doors opened and inside stood one poor young man tasked with running the entire dining room by himself. This was not a metaphor. This was a fact. And yet he performed a yeoman's job, moving from table to table with the calm bravery of someone who has accepted his fate and decided to try his best to do right by strangers anyway. The room itself was lovely, still dressed up for the holidays like a house that refuses to admit the season has moved on. It was pleasant to sit there and feel briefly insulated from the outside world, which was surely still doing whatever it does to people who skip lunch. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto. It was delicious, earthy and comforting, the sort of dish that suggests someone in the kitchen cares. The portion, however, was modest for the price, leaving me fed but contemplative. My companions ordered a Caesar salad with salmon and a wedge salad with chicken, and both appeared content, which is often the highest praise one can expect at midday. With tip, the bill came to about one hundred dollars for three people at lunch, which felt a bit steep for what landed on the table. There is no crime in that, but it does linger in the mind afterward. So here we are. A good meal, a kind and overworked server, a pleasant room, and food that was enjoyable but not generous. Given the abundance of good eating options nearby, it will probably be a while before I return. I do not regret going. I am simply aware that time, money, and lunches are all finite things. Which is something worth remembering anywhere you eat, including places you like.

This wine bar is way too cute for its own good. My friend and I split the Truffle Fries and the Cheese and Bread Charcuterie Board -- I always finish my food and I could not finish this. Make sure you have 3 people to tackle it. Like another patron said, this place is intimate and loud at the same time. They only have one bottle menu somehow in 2025, so you might have to wait a little to see it. Just saying. I think they only had 2 people working somehow, but we didn't have to wait egregiously for anything. Overall, highly recommend!

I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Once we figured that out, she got us some food to go and we ate here at home. Verdict: -excellent seating options - stools, couches, chairs -food is so so good. Tartare, truffle fries. Fig jam pizza -drinks include awesome bottles and seasonal takes on old favorites This could be my new spot.

This isn't just a place to eat, it's the kind of old-school establishment that's been around long enough to have stories. You can feel the past in the wood-paneled atmosphere, the classic bar, and the sense that generations of locals have gathered here over good food and long conversations. There's a subtle throwback vibe that hints at Trenton's more colorful eras, the kind of place where, decades ago, important conversations might've happened over steaks and drinks rather than phone calls and emails. It has that timeless, no-frills charm: confident, comfortable, and unapologetically traditional. The food is solid, hearty, and satisfying, classic dishes done right, with portions that don't mess around. Service is professional and respectful, like they've learned over the years that consistency and discretion matter. You're treated well, but without any forced friendliness, just genuine hospitality the old way. If you appreciate historic spots with character, where the walls could probably talk and the traditions still matter, Homestead Restaurant is a must-visit. Five stars for keeping that classic Trenton legacy alive.
