Cajun Style Wing and Catfish Basket

Large space with outdoor seating available only on the weekends and your doggie is welcome on the patio! We got the Cajun wings, catfish platter and boil with 2 snow crab clusters, an egg and corn. I choose the spicy garlic butter sauce. We were happy with the service as she checked on us often but not annoyingly so lol. Here's the lowdown opinion on the food. Catfish- 7/10 breading detached from the fish - great texture overall but needed more seasoning Wings- 8/10 for texture and ex crispiness but no spice on the Cajun flavor Boil-7/10 a little sweeter than I personally like but seemed balanced- my knock would be(I rarely complain about this) but a little on the salty side. I got the spicy version but it didn't make my nose run.

The boils are always delicious and the flavor is perfect. The crab is never overcooked. This time we actually tried some appetizers. The Boudin balls are flavorful and just a little bit spicy. The Seaholic fries have a little sweetness to them. Attentive servers. Clean bathrooms.

Food was amazing! I came towards the end of crawfish season, they had $5.99/lb but was also running but 5lb get one free. The size was large for being later in the season. I love the variety of food offered even though we only came for the boil. We got boudin balls too which were good. The sauce was garlic butter fire. Heat was good, garlic was potent. Next time will try the citrus sauce with fire spice. My son got regular butter mild and said it had great flavor, he ate all two pounds himself so it must've been good The place was clean and has a full bar. Staff was friendly. We will definitely return even after crawfish seasoning, the crab was AMAZING!!!

This is my go to place for seafood. This is where you should go if you want seafood because they have a variety of seafood readily available. Their service is pretty good. I mostly come for the crawfish and oysters. I love their boiled crawfish with garlic butter sauce and citrus heat! I usually do takeout because I'm Filipino and I like to eat the crawfish with steamed jasmine rice.

It's crawfish season and it's time for me to venture out and start finding more seafood boil places. Seaholic has been on my radar for quite sometime now but finally decided it's time. Parking lot was packed, so I was surpised we didn't have to wait and got seated right away. Atmosphere was pretty loud and busy, so it's not going to be a place to have a romantic dinner lols. Our waiter was really nice and walked us through the sauce/seasonings he recommended since there was a selection to choose from. We ended up getting the seasoned fries-- (of course, hello, it's me we're talking about here!) I loved it but I was surprised the other two folks that went with me liked it as much as I did. Which I really think says a lot because they're really not a fries person like me. We got the sack 3 and also 1lb of the king crab. We could've done it without the extra 1lb bag but I figured since we were craving some seafood, might as well...We ended up having to it take so much home since it was a lot. Definitely would come again. Food and service was a 10/10 in my books!

Nice casual dinner with the family during valentines ! I loved that this place is family friendly because after valentine festivities once we picked the children we needed a place to eat! Walked in and everyone had their children. It's a nice lowkey place . Good to go to if there's a game and the music is just at the right volume to enjoy but not get annoyed. Service is pretty basic for a seafood restaurant take your order bring your bucket and covering and then ppl drop off your food . Just the way I like it The chargrilled oysters were good but not the best . The egg rolls were nice and crispy and came with the delicious sauce you typically get! The mussels are HuGE! Love that for me! The Shrimp wasn't over cooked and the food was plenty! I wasn't a fan of their fried rice at all but my kids liked it . And all in all the price point can't be beat! It's not too spicy but it is flavorful

This is one of my absolute favorites for fresh seafood. Instead of the crawfish which theirs is the best, I opted for something lighter. The crab claws are delicious and loaded full of fresh garlic, butter, and the right amount of spices and seasonings. No need to mess with shells as these come ready to eat. The crawfish tails are battered and seasoned to perfection. The sauce they are paired with is complimentary but not overpowering. Just enough of a kick but not too spicy. The bartenders and servers are always courteous and efficient. The restrooms are super clean and they even have a handwashing station. I'll definitely be back for crawfish soon.

Came here looking for crawfish on a weeknight when my regular spot was closed. The vibe is nice and the A/C is on high to combat the heat outside. The wait staff were friendly and attentive without being annoying. We got the seaholic fries. They came out hot and crispy. Really liked the spicy mayo sauce, but it wasn't spicy at all. I got 4lbs of the boiled crawfish in the medium naked Cajun and they were delicious. Nice sized, but hard to peel. I got a side of the spicy garlic butter and it wasn't my favorite. It was mostly spices drenched in butter instead of a butter dipping sauce with flavor. I'm glad I read reviews because it was on the sweet side and I don't want sweet crawfish. The potato I got was hard. My partner got clam chowder and seaholic friend rice. The chowder was piping hot and tasted great. Would definitely recommend that. The fried rice was okay. I'm not sure I would order it again, it was pretty bland. Needed more flavor. All in all, I'd say it was a good experience and I'll probably be back to try a few other things on the menu.

Orange Drop: Strong and delicious! Highly recommend!

Came on a Friday around 6pm and it wasn't very busy. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant felt pretty clean. FRIED CALAMARI: I'm used to chewy calamari, and this was not. It was actually kinda soft. It was decent, but not my preference in calamari. SEAHOLIC FRIES: I thought it was just fine, not great. But maybe it was because I didn't eat it right away. GRILLED BEEF GARLIC NOODLES: Both the noodles and beef had great flavor! It was also a pretty big portion. MUSSELS: I only had a little, but they were pretty good and tasted fresh! I don't like that you have to get 2lbs minimum though. 2lbs of mussels is a lot, even if you really like them. You're definitely gonna have to share with someone or just take the leftovers home. CATFISH BASKET: The catfish was really moist and had good flavor! ORANGE DROP: Strong, but delicious! Highly recommend!

We stopped here after I searched on Yelp for seafood for my friend. The atmosphere is welcoming. It wasn't crowded but people were coming in regularly. One couple told my friend that their food was really good. My sister never tried crawfish before and the young lady brought her one to try before purchasing. That was very nice of her. Everyone in my party except me ordered seafood and enjoyed their food. Thank you Seaholic for a great experience.

    Any crawfish available?

    Yes they have plenty.

    Are y'all kid friendly?

Yep! I just left there 30 minutes ago with 4 kids- 2, 4, 5, and 6 years old. They have a plentiful kids menu as well with not only seafood options but the usual burgers and fries, chicken tenders.

Same curved counter, same stainless, same red shirts - and the same man in the cap and beard shucking my oysters, one perfect shell at a time. This place isn't fancy. It's Texas honest. A grounded ship ringed in sun-bleached shells, loud with beer, laughter, and knives hitting the hinge. Folks pack in - oil hands, students, suits - because here, money doesn't decide taste. If you want the Gulf, you come. The oysters are what the Gulf does better than anyone will admit: big, briny, and unapologetic. Pacific and Australian oysters are refined - polite, even. Ours carry warm salt, mineral depth, and a little river memory. They don't whisper; they speak Texas. Menu says a dozen; you get thirteen. That's not a promotion. That's culture. The Michelada? Many places pour a decent one. I won't judge. But drop a fat Gulf oyster in the glass and the drink wears its crown - the way Houstonians know it should. Fried catfish here sets a bar most won't clear: cornmeal crisp, clean-sweet flesh, no mud, no funk. Frog legs snap at the joint and stay tender at heart - quiet Southern luxury. Gumbo is Texas gumbo - thicker, smokier, steady. Not Cajun, not Creole; ours. Skip it and your body will notice. Nineteen years ago I had my first Michelada here. Nineteen years later, it's still the best - and that same shucker in the cap is still running the line like time never learned his name. Getting to the location was quite easy, parking was super easy as well, it is in a small shopping center. As I went inside, I could smell the food, and I knew it was going to be good. I was greeted by a younger guy who handed me the menu, but fortunately, I already knew what I wanted! Which was one of everything! But, I was solo on this day, so I had to have some restraint! I chose to go with the catfish basket, with 2 filets, fries (cajun), a side of mac and cheese, and a side of their specialty sauce that comes with crawfish! I had an appointment I was going to next, and I didn't think about how long it would take, but fortunately, it didn't take long at all. They drop the food to cook after you order, which I love!!! The catfish and fries were piping hot when they came out. Seasoned just perfectly for my taste! I'm glad I went with the two, so that I could take the other one home for later!!! I don't know how they season the fish, but keep doing what you're doing! I got the mac and cheese, it looked super good. It was cheesy and had the cheese pull that we all know and love. It wasn't my most favorite dish, it was missing a little something. BUT!!! When I added the side sauce with the crawfish in it, it became my favorite! Something about that combo just works! I believe it's the sauce they use in one of their pastas, but don't quote me on that! The sauce I used as a dip for everything, fries, mac and catfish. It is worth getting! All in all, loved everything about this place. It reminds me a little of some of the places I used to go to growing up in Memphis. I didn't recall anything bad about the place, and given the rave reviews since then, I thought it was time to return. Based on reviews, we showed up early on a Friday evening (~5 pm). Even at that time, it was mostly full, but we were able to snag seats at the bar, which is first come first serve. We ordered the "regular" grilled oysters (5/5), which were anything but regular, as they were topped with peanuts and a really great flavor. I'd get these again. Fair warning, these take 20 minutes to come out, which I didn't mind, but I did not realize that they would not bring us anything else until after the oysters since these are considered an app. I thought they'd just bring things out as they were ready. This meant, we did not get our crawfish until we were already sitting there for an hour. About halfway into the wait for the crawfish (after the oysters), the fried rice (1/5) showed up, and I have to say, it was underwhelming. It came out room temperature, which to me is cold, and I thought this was just how they do it. Except 15 minutes later, the seats next to us got their fried rice, and it came out piping hot. You could still see the steam coming off of it. Besides being cold, I didn't think the fried rice was that good in terms of flavor. I also generally prefer the short grain rice, and this was more of a long grain. Once the crawfish showed up, we were well past an hour, so we dove right into it. Both the garlic butter and combo mix were great flavor - some of the best I've had in Houston. However.... it made me remember why we did not return. About 20% of the crawfish were TINY. And by tiny, I mean they were smaller than my pinky finger. Maybe I'm a crawfish snob, but at this time of the season, there should not be that many tiny crawfish. Maybe a few small ones, but not tiny. Crawfish flavor = 5+/5, crawfish quality = 2/5, crawfish cook = 3/5. Then I made the mistake of ordering a cluster of snow crab. That took another 30+ min to come out, and it was again room temperature. The service at the bar was fine (4/5), but the kitchen service (1/5) is not something I want to experience again, especially not for the crawfish quality/size. Yes, the flavor was amazing, but I'm not fighting for a table for lukewarm food and 30 min wait time for each dish. The pricing was some of the lowest I've seen ($8.99/lb crawfish), but I'd rather pay $1 more at other places for the quality.
