Came here due to circumstances for a work breakfast. The service was a bit off . The lady wasn't mean or nice just there. She wasn't very helpful about the menu and the place was pretty empty. If you don't eat Pork there's no other meat options for you to substitute so be aware you will either eat eggs or fruit . No turkey bacon . We ordered pancakes ans chicken and waffles . So today a friend of mine took me here for lunch and raved about it. However, I was not impressed at all. It's very quaint and nice when you walk in. The menu is great with all home cooking meals. We started with fried mushrooms. As much as I love mushrooms and always get them, these were not good. They were almost all breading and mushy. I couldn't really eat them and not something I want to eat ever again. Then we both got chicken breast with mushrooms and cheese. The chicken was grilled with no seasoning. About 10 mushrooms on top covered with cheese. It was okay, but just not great. I got the mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant and the gravy was like water, not good. The rolls were hard and not Grau or hot I really wanted to like this place but I've had better and fresher food at a small diner in a small town. I love to get their Cheeseburger with no buns and avocado on top which comes with a thick and juicy beef patty. Their fries remind me of the Popeyes fries with the additional crunch outside - so good. It is a massive piece of beef perfectly fried to perfection. Every single side I have ever tried is equally as delicious as the other. My wife has tried several different meals, and cannot decide which is her favorite. The customer service is impeccable. They are always polite and exceptionally courageous. Having been a regular here back in high school days (10ish years ago), and recently gone back to have a nostalgic meal, I do enjoy the casual ambience and homestyle cooked food at Baccaili's. Portions used to be even huger, but today they are still pretty loaded for the price (mostly less than $10-12 per plate). Waitstaff and service are acceptable and they seem to hire local high school students so that's great for the community. Big fan of the hungry time specials (the chicken breast, 3 eggs, home fries, and some wheat toast or the chicken fried steak if I'm feeling it) and the thai / milk tea offerings by their neighbor Fusion 36 Degree. Would certainly recommend over a chain restaurant like Dennys or Ihop for a quick, casual and inexpensive sit down meal during the day. read more

I ordered a coffee and a side water to start, she brings the coffee out but no creamer or sugar (its ok though because she quickly rectified that). I tell you what though their coffee is definitely a very light roast so if your into that you'll love it. Took about 20 minutes for my food to come out (given that it was around lunch time not bad) and looked pretty good. I was a little confused because it came with hashbrowns and not house fries, but I'm assuming that's what they call their hashbrowns. Had to ask for napkins (noticed other tables had napkins when their food was brought out) and more coffee, but again it was a busy time. We've been coming here for years for a reasonably priced healthy meal. Lately, they seem to be struggling. For awhile, we would come in on Sunday evening around 7 and we were told they were closed even though their sign said they were open until 8. We always try to give them a chance and the benefit of the doubt, but here we are again on a Sunday evening. They are open, but we had to seat ourselves and it took a good 10 minutes to get a glass of water. They only have one person waiting on customers. She is answering the phone and taking and filling orders, seating customers, taking their orders and basically just struggling to keep up. We've been waiting for our order for 35 minutes. If you are hungry or in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. I hope they get their issues fixed, because I really do like eating here. read more

Also no one greeted me when I walked in although I was the only customer in there at that time but I proceed to order my Latte Coffee and it was nasty and disgusting how can you mess up on Latte. This is a little gem of a restaurant that not a lot of people seem to know about. We come here 2-3 times a month, and there are rarely more than 4 other tables taken. There is usually just one waitress but she is very friendly and fast. The restaurant has delicious non-fancy food. The portions are huge. The Texas Chicken Fried Steak covers the whole plate.. My favorite, the Greek Salad is very fresh with a delicious Greek dressing. The prices are very reasonable. Whether we come here for an omelet breakfast, hamburger with fries lunch, or dinner meal with 2 sdes, salad, and bread, we usually pay about $20 for 2 people. The burger itself tasted like it came from the frozen section from Food Town grocery store. I make a way better burger at home. The cheese wasn't melted, they just put a piece of cold cheese on the burger and served it. 2. Flat soda. They don't serve sweet tea. Worst $11 I ever spent. Home style, comfort food is what Baccalis dishes out and that's exactly what I've experienced when eating here. They have a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu; I've only caught lunch here though. What I generally crave from Baccailis is their chicken fried steak type dishes. They hit the spot every time! Hearty eating--so reserve such dishes for a larger appetite. Their fried okra is also a knockout. The chicken salad sandwich is the only thing I've had here that I would avoid. It's kind of cole slaw-ish. Strange. Not the worst sandwich I've had, but just not my taste maybe? The thing I like most about this place is that it's layed back and the service is always friendly. This combination dishes that dose of comfort I'm usually looking for when I stop here.
