Flavor was a 10 as always. The take away for me is Seaholic refusing to bow out of the crawfish game when they are beginning to serve excessively small crawfish. Still my love for crawfish prevailed, and I continued to eat the small crawfish, the few that I could peel without them falling apart, and I asked roughly 5 times for extra seasoning for my dipping butter that I could make the experience more pleasurable. First, let me say the drink menu is on point and the drinks are really good. So if you want to go to a place with good drinks, this is the place. We ordered Rockefeller oysters, which I said let us start with the Rockefeller oysters. I ordered a pound of Dungeness crab cooked garlic, butter, mild spice, and my husband ordered the blackened catfish with rice and salad and a snow crab cluster which he ordered garlic butter spicy. About 10 minutes later my husband's blackened catfish came out. It was very good. I highly recommend this dish. However, no food for me and not our oysters. He was almost completely done with his plate and the oysters came out. They were cold, with hardly any cheese on them, but they did have a lot of bacon. eventually, the crabs came out. First off the crabs were not seasoned at all. They cook them or steam them and then add the spice afterwards which as you know is not how you're supposed to cook seafood. My dungeones crab, which was supposed to be mild came out so spicy it was barely edible. And the garlic butter was nonexistent. They had some sort of brown sauce on it. That was the consistency of white gravy. So either the crab meat was so spicy it was hard to eat or it had no flavor at all because I didn't have anything on it. I would be cautious when going there for crawfish because this means that they're not cooking the crawfish with seasoning they're adding the seasoning afterwards. I gave it a four because of the drinks and because of the black and catfish. I would probably go back, but I would stay away from any type of seafood that you can change the spice level on because they don't know how to do it properly. The Boudin Balls were because they were soft inside and crunchy soft on the outside. I will be eating these every time I go now! Then my dad had the Shrimp Salad and when he finished it he said it tasted amazing. My mom and I shared the Seaholic Boil with EZ Peel Shrimp, 2 Lobster Tails, and 1 small potato in their Mild Butter Garlic Sauce. We were thankful it was mild because after we ate, our mouths were burning, but we can't take spicy heat that much anyway. Then I had to take a pit stop and was surprised how clean the bathroom was! My parents ordered the Apple Pie Rolls for dessert and it came out to the table while I was in the bathroom so I missed taking a picture of it, but they were gracious to leave me some! Ha! The service was not good. We ordered oysters as our appetizers and like 10 minutes later we ordered our main entrees. 10 minutes longer one of the main dishes "combo2" came out first . Again oysters were ordered long time ago as appetizers. Then came the charbroiled and then we had to wait for the raw oysters to come out. My friends got their oysters and lobster roll about 30 min before my other friend and I got our crawfish and shrimp. By the time we got our food, they were done. I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish and they were HUGE. Probably the biggest crawfish I've ever seen. Which had its pros and cons. I liked that it was meaty like lobster. However, because it was so big, the quantity of crawfish was smaller than 2 lbs of normal sized crawfish. The seasoning was good but the meat of the crawfish was flavorless. Today I decided to try this restaurant. Unfortunately on the weekend this does not open till noon. We finally got in and the service was mediocre at best. Any question you asked, the waitress would say I don't know. Look at the menu. If you want any type of seafood you have to use your phone to scan the market price menu. That should've been my first hint about how bad this food was going to be. So finally, I ordered a pound of crab legs, two potatoes, one egg and a piece of corn. Now keep in mind they offer no seasoning mild seasoning a lot of seasoning. What have you. So I ordered all of mine with no seasoning due to food allergies. They bring out my seafood boil or what they call a seafood boil and I buy into potatoes and they are spicier than anything else I've ever had. So I tell the lady and she rolled her eyes at me and brings out the cook. Never mind you they've only been open for 30 minutes at this point , he comes out and says well we boil these in the spicy water. And I said to the man then you should put that on your menu and not offer it in seasoning and other seasoning options. He says yeah I know but that's how we make them. And I said well I have a food allergy and that's why I ordered no seasoning. If you don't offer the potatoes or the corn with no seasoning, then you need to put that on the menu. He then says well that's just the way it is. Can I give you something else and I said no I'm just letting you know that that's false advertisement and you should be aware that there are people with allergies of all kinds in this world. He rolled his eyes and left. My friend got a lobster hamburger. Now the hamburger is just the word. All it was was a lobster roll type lobster on a roll. It was not worth $20. In the end, their food is overpriced, mediocre best, and the service is really bad. I would rather go to any other restaurant to get seafood and pay the prices that we paid but get good service and good food. I do not recommend this restaurant. Feel like you want better seafood. CRAWFISH SEASON!!! First time visiting this spot and I highly enjoyed the dining experience. I came here with my sister on a lunch date and she enjoyed it as well. If anyone knows my oldest sister well, then you will know that she's a tough cookie; very hard to please. Therefore, I was ecstatic that she liked this establishment so much that she told our waiter that we would be definitely coming back for another visit, lol. Firstly, we were welcomed and greeted so warmly by the host who found available tables right away and he let us choose the table we were most comfortable with! How cool is that?! He was friendly and funny. Their dining room area is spacious and clean. They have a large party area for special celebrations or just large gatherings. Secondly, after we were seated we waited for about 5-10 minutes before our server made his presence be known. He introduced himself as Yang and he promptly took our drinks and appetizer orders. Although I ordered a peach Margarita, it appeared to be an orange juice flavored margarita. However, it was still delicious! It wasn't strong how like I like my drinks, but still delicious. My sis ordered a coke, but was met with disappointment to find out they do not have coke products available. Reluctantly, she opted out for a Pepsi, lol. She's a true Coke head y'all! As for the appetizer, we ordered fried calamari. It was just okay. I didn't really like the sweet tasting coating or the Parmesan cheese. I prefer my calamari fried the old fashioned crispy way in cornmeal or seafood batter and hot oil. Thirdly, we ordered the mixed fried combo platter which consists of two choices of seafood protein, hush puppies, and Cajun seasoned fries. I ordered the fried catfish and oysters for my mixed combo, but substituted the fries for lettuce. My sister went with fried catfish and shrimp and plain fries without the Cajun seasoning. They were able to accommodate both of our special requests which was fabulous. She and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We both agreed that the fish, shrimp, and oysters were not too salty, but possessed enough salt for taste. However, they could have fried them all a little longer due to the fact that they were fried a little on the soft side. We both like our seafood fried crispy with a little crunch to it. The hush puppies were tasty but too soft as well. The center of the hush puppy was a little doughy. Overall it was still delicious and fulfilling. My sister said that her plain fries were absolutely scrumptious, crunchy, and did not need any seasoning because they tasted like a hint of salt were in them already. In conclusion, we both enjoyed our dining experience to the upmost! Although service was a little on the slow side, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing with nice tunes pouring through the overhead speakers. The presentation of the dining room was impressively spotless and clean. Crawfish - 5/5 Big as heck, spice level was medium and it truly tasted like medium kick. The flavor in the sauce evened the spice out. The crawfish were HUGE! We ordered 3 potatoes and a corn on the side. All very good. Will be back for crawfish! Oysters 3.7/5 I was just hoping to take more of the oyster. It's like amI ordered garlic parmesan bites with a side of oyster. They tasted really good but over powered the true oyster. Some people may love it like this so again just my perspective. Calamari 3.7/5 More like calamari fries. Deeply battered with a spicy mayo on the side but would have lured much better with marinara. Although the calamari was cut thick and not over cooked so that was a plus. We ordered chilled shots of tequila and made perfect with an orange. Ambiance was cool and relaxed on a Monday night. I got mango habanero wings and the sauce was a bit sticky and had an asian flare to it more than a spicy saucy flare. 6/10. I also got the crawfish shrimp with corn and potato combo in the garlic butter fire sauce. It was decent. I was able to eat my crawfish with a nice sauce added on top and quite edible. 8/10. I would go here for a quick fix if necessary (i go to crawfish shack crosby and it is the absolute best ever. Been passing by this place on fry rd for sometime but never got around to trying it. Saw that the parking wasn't really full so I said let's give it a try for lunch. The staff are very sweet and attentive, and checked up on me and that's a plus. Relatively the place is clean and very spacious! Now let's get to the food... I decided to get some alligator bites which are deep fried and the lobster roll with fries. The alligator bites was pretty good, basically chewy chicken if you think about it and the sauce it's paired with have a nice kick. The lobster roll was good... but I don't think it was worth the price they sell it at. The bread felt a little underwhelming liked its glazed in butter to make up for its soft texture, I like a little crunch in my bread. The lobster meat itself would've been good if they didn't slather and drench it in mayo, definitely could've used less. For $22 this lobster roll tasted $10 at best. It was ok... I saw this place on a food bloggers Instagram so I started to follow them there... it looks soooo good online but honestly I was disappointed. I had the seaholic fries which were hard and dry, I had the grilled salmon blackened which was seasoned with rosemary or thyme and it was not good, the side salad with the meal was also nasty. I ordered the turkey neck soup, boudin balls and bread pudding Togo and the turkey necks were tender but lacked seasoning. The highlight of the meal was the bread pudding and the boudin balls, they were both good.
