My first visit to Screaming goat Yard was with friends for brunch. They do not take reservations but we were lucky and arrived early enough that we had plenty of seating options. We grabbed a table inside and started with mimosa batches. Once we ordered food. It arrived at the table in a timely manner, and I was pleasantly surprised for the food to be as amazing as it was the fried green tomatoes were to die for, it was my first time trying cheese curds they tasted great to me, and all of the other bites that we shared were plentiful and flavorful. The inside area is super cool with a rustic country vibe there's tons of seating outside and a stage for music although there was none at the time we were there and the best part is once your belly is full, you get to go enjoy the goats and even feed them. The way they incorporate the goats into the restaurant is very fun. We have a great time outside of the restaurant. Inside it was a nightmare we had to first wait an hour to be seated. Wait an hour for our food. On top of that the food was awful. Our waitress wouldn't give us the time of day. The only good is that the manager came and didn't make us pay $40 for simple dishes that didn't taste great. Because of that manager I will give this place another try sometime soon. read more

Saturday morning brunch with the family! The parking lot was packed but, that made no difference as we were seated immediately... our choice inside or outside. It was still nice out around noon so we opted for outside, which was pleasant enough. They have lots of shade from trees and umbrellas, though some tables are still out in the sun. Our server was great very patient and also very helpful, we all ordered refresher beverages which were very good but expensive! We ordered a mix of brunch and lunch and everything was very good. I had the French toast and it was one of the best I've had in the area. Although it wasn't the largest plate full of food, I was very happy with it and satisfied once I finished my meal. They have lots of different drinks and a variety of dishes on the menu. The easy listening jazz band they had was perfect! Huge menu, extensive beer and drink choices, much more seating both inside and out, and goats (!) Our server Emma had only been here a few days. We had questions and she got answers quickly. Since this wasn't her first stint as a server, I do hope it's her last! Meaning ... I would like to have her serve us every time we return, which will be regularly! Well my better half had a new years surprise and it was to take us here for our last dinner of 2025. And it was so much fun. The live music was great. I absolutely love this place! If you've ever gotten the impression that most of the good ol' rural, small towns in Texas are half dead these days, coming here will dispel the myth. Spring Branch is vibrant and happenin', and this place is one of the proof points. I live 90 minutes from here, relatively close to Austin, and I'm already planning my next trip back because I now want to share it with a few more people. Love this place! And food price point was just right, especially their brunch price of AYCE for $20, you can't beat that!! And what's even better, the food was actually pretty good!! This place was great! We visited early on a Monday morning for breakfast. There was plenty of parking and we decided to pick an outdoor table close to the goats. The tables had various games on them and there was corn hole boards off to the side. There were a lot of large trees nearby so it shaded the area pretty well. I ordered a coffee and the meat pie breakfast with my eggs scrambled, but you could order them any way you prefer. The meat pies were amazing and had a little spice/kick to them. The bacon was well done and the potatoes were soft. We also ordered the peach waffles. They were really good, just a little smaller than we expected. Our waitress was really nice and fast. Second time visiting - or rather trying to visit here and it was a bust!! After driving a while to get here and seeing how crazy the parking lot was we knew it would be a while but we walked in to be 'greeted' by a server who told us it's 90 minutes right now for food which is ridiculous for a place that serves pub food BUT we were just stopping by for a drink and given the fact that the entire place stunk like rancid cooking oil which is the smell I hate most in this world -certainly was not up for food!! Came here to meet up with some ladies from a local "coffee shop" meet up. The food was delicious, the bread is the perfect crunch to the shrimp. If you aren't a shrimp person they have other options like ham, turkey, crawfish! The espresso martini was great and not too strong. Perfect for brunch and balances out the savory in the food. Overall the service is meh, our waitress never brought us napkins, we had to ask for waters, we also asked to be seated by a heater and though they would try their best to accommodate, that did not happen. Won't be a problem in the Texas heat. We barely saw our waitress until we had our food. They do have high chairs and super kids friendly place. Atmosphere is great, obviously that's why you come here. Nice big outside. Goats are fun. For $2.50 you can ask the bartender for a bag of goat food. Our toddler loved it. The music was getting ready to play at 3pm on Saturday. For that big a place, a 2 stools bathroom is a little ridiculous. I waited 10mn to go to the bathroom. Uncool. Never ever again! For starters when we got to our destination 35 minutes from our home. The waitress said it was a two hour wait. They call us in 20 minutes. We have eaten at this place before but we decided to try out their "brunch menu". It was delicious! I got the CCM plate and the wife got the blueberry French toast. (Sorry no photos of the food but we scarfed it down too quick). Plenty of food and the price was average for nowadays. The place wasn't busy at all and the waitress couldn't have been better.
