This is a very nice, low-key, chill spot that feels upscale when you walk in, but still casual enough to relax and enjoy yourself. The ambience is really well done. It has a classy, tasteful speakeasy vibe without feeling overdone or pretentious. They also have a private room that would be great for a special group gathering or a more intimate celebration. The grand piano in the room adds a really elegant touch and makes the space feel even more elevated. We went on a Monday night, so it's hard to say what the normal energy is like on a busier evening, but the overall atmosphere was still very pleasant. Service was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. The only thing I would have loved was a little more creativity or guidance with the cocktails. The space gives the impression that you're about to get a true mixologist-style experience, but the recommendations we received were pretty standard, like Old Fashioneds and martinis. We were hoping for something a little more unique or original, maybe a twist on a Sidecar or an elevated take on a classic Old Fashioned. That said, it's still a beautiful spot with great ambience, pleasant service, and a very nice overall feel. I would definitely go back, especially on a busier night to see the full vibe. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for the longest and it did not disappoint, I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of it, our server was amazing and so attentive, the first drink I had was el scallywag, it was ok but the bitters kinda have a cinnamon taste to it that I did not practically enjoy but the QUEEN drink OMGGGGGGGG it was amazing, so amazing I had to have 2!! I was super excited to try this place out for a date night. We ordered the tuna nachos, smashed potatoes, and crab cakes. Let's get to the positives. The ambience is spot on beautiful, staff were nice, the crab cakes were good, and prices seemed fair. However, the smashed potatoes had a weird flavor to them. It was as if they had blue cheese in them, but the menu didn't note blue cheese. The dish was mediocre. The tuna nachos were not good at all. The dish was served cold. The tuna was so cold it made the wonton chips and toppings cold. I checked in with the server and she confirmed it is meant to be served cold. It would've been nice to see that listed on the menu. I've had tuna nachos at other restaurants that have been amazing. They've always had freshly fried wonton chips that were served hot and the tuna was seared enough to be room temperature. The nachos also had way too much hoisin sauce which made the nachos very sweet. The sweetness and the cold together killed this dish. read more

A friend found this place after a quick google search and we decided to stop by for a round after dinner on Saturday night. It was pretty busy but we were able to snag a table for two. They had a live band that was AMAZING. I mean wow they were great. My friend and I were not even talking to each other because we were enjoying their music and commentary so much. I wish I could remember their name! Now let's talk about the drinks...WOW. Truly some of the best drinks I have ever tried. These are pro bartenders for sure. We came for a single round and ended up staying for three - I just could not get enough of their "DAAAAANGGG" drink. If you are a tequila drinker, do yourself a favor and get it. Went for a rare mid week date night to enjoy some piano and Whiskey Wednesday. The place was pretty packed when we got there but since we had it reservation, I was still seated promptly. Nick was our server for the evening. We ordered a bourbon old-fashioned and I ordered the knock knock. We also ordered a charcuterie board. The drinks came out pretty quickly, and Nick gave us water in the meantime, which was nice. The knock knock. I questioned if it was a correct drink because it had a honey like flavor to it too, which Nick explained that the whiskey that is used has that flavor in it. I never heard of that particular brand of whiskey, so I took his word for it. The drinks were quite good and the charcuterie board. It was also quite good. However, it took roughly 40 minutes to get the board and when I asked Nick how much longerit may take, he responded with if I had seen how many people were in the place when we walked in. Very small. Reservations recommended. There is a small bar too but it gets crowded quickly. The drinks were amazing and there was a very large selection of specialty drinks and a full bar. Not cheap but worth it. The Cuban sliders were really tasty and so was the hummus and feta. All the food is appetizers and there weren't many selections but they were quite tasty. The flan was some of the best I've had. If you're wanting more than appetizers I recommend eating at the Muck and Fuss next door and making your reservation for Sidecar a bit later. The music was great. We had piano first and then a big band jazz quartet. Both very talented and the piano players voice was that gravelly Tom Waits style that I really like. I love a good speakeasy. While this isn't a speakeasy in the traditional sense, the craft cocktails certainly exceed the mark. When I arrived I realized I should have made a reservation, but the friendly staff happily sat me at a table right in front of the piano. A delightful player played songs from a bygone era as I ordered off of their House Cocktail menu. The Smooth Criminal was delicious, I highly recommend it. But then I noticed a QR code on the menu that showed all of their spirits. When I saw Absinthe, I immediately asked for a Sazerac. I was not disappointed. My waiter was knowledgeable and a gracious host. When I asked him for a suggestion off menu based on my enjoyment of the first two cocktails, he immediately recommended a Corpse Reviver No. 2.
