Honestly from the exterior you don't really know what to expect, as it originated as a garden center, but has expanded to include one of the best eateries Bulverde TX has to offer. Not only is the staff exceptional, but also the food is spectacular! The interior is tasteful with a bar backed by a trickling waterfall. The interior section has an optional open screened area, and there is a quaint patio area with a view of the gorgeous garden center and greenhouse. There is also a small stream to a gazebo with relaxing chairs for a chill time with friends and family.

Today we had brunch, my husband had steak & eggs while I had the French toast. Hands down the best French toast I've ever had. Thick slices, soft, fluffy, infused with flavor in every bite! Steak & eggs were delicious as well. We love Desert Spoon for the high quality, homemade food, but also for the amazing ambiance and attention to detail. The restaurant and grounds are gorgeous. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Restaurant is so clean- they sanitize tables and the chairs after every customer. The music playing in background is not overpowering; it's there but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. It's is just a lovely experience every time.

On a beautiful outing to the hill country my friend decided to treat me to a great view. Butterfly gardens, beautiful water fountain, and a plant nursery. Service is fast and welcoming. You get a taste of the true country hospitality. The food authentic and delicious. I had the wild boar pasta and my friend has a snapper dish. I have to say the fish was a bit strong in taste and but the pasta was cooked al dense and boar bolognese was a delicately balanced to layer upon the palates 4 quadrant. The cocktails were good and they made sure they were able to meet our no alcohol drinks request. Over all I would go back if just for the views

A diverse menu (with some great options for sharing!), delicious drinks, and such a beautiful setting with incredible hospitality. For lunch, my all time favorite is the fireside panini (I could eat this everyday), but a close second is the chopped sandwich. For dinner, I loved the red fish, burger, fries, and roasted carrots! There is something for everyone and you cannot go wrong. Not to mention the staff makes you feel like family, remembered my name after meeting me once and made sure we loved everything!

The wife and I met our daughter and fiancé here on a Monday evening for dinner. A new restaurant on the Spring Creek Gardens property. Fun fact... Desert Spoon is not only the name of the restaurant but also a plant native to the Texas Hill Country (who knew?). The decor is an eclectic combination of hill country rock, vertical ship lap wall panels, and ceramic green subway tile on the bar. Of course being a nursery, there are fresh and beautifully arranged flowers on every table. Several tables inside or if you prefer outside under a covered patio area giving the option to enjoy the rare mild spring climate in Texas. Large windows provide a spectacular view of the grounds and sunset. The dining area is really nicely done and very comfortable. The owners Trever and her husband Merritt (two young Aggie entrepreneurs) stopped by the table and chatted with us briefly. Wylie, our waiter and pleasant young man with a southern accent, took our drink order. Old Fashion for me and the 404 (gin or vodka based) cocktail for the wife. The menu is a la carte. Entres can be pared with "sharables" which are sides for the table. I ordered the lamb shank, the wife red fish, daughter 1/2 roasted chicken, and her to be...the smash burger and fries. The meals were delivered to the table in short order and after snaping a few pics for you Yelpers and thanking the good Lord, we partook. We each tried a bit of the other's meal and I must say, the wife scored with the red fish. My lamb shank was a close second. Unfortunately, the carrots were not available so we only ordered the broccoli for the table. I wish we would have ordered two sides but maybe next time. The wife, not a avid seafood person surprised me by ordering the red fish. She enjoyed every bite and I didn't get my usual portion of leftovers when she finishes. Everyone enjoyed the meal and a good time was had by all. My daughters beau picked up the tab so I enjoyed it more than usual. If you are in looking for a spot to treat that special person to a special place, this is it. Bon Appetit Yelpers.

The ambiance is incredible. You have the garden nursery and boutique for a view with amazing cocktails and brunch. A must-do!

Food was beyond amazing, my co-worker and I were quickly seated and the service was top notch. I enjoyed sitting outside the scenery was a nice touch to a wonderful meal. I would definitely recommend stopping by!

What a cute ice cream shop!…read more I'm not going to lie, their adorable cow logo was half the reason I went to Confetti and Cream. The shop itself is just as whimsical and really kept to the pink and cutesy theme, and though it's on the small side they still managed to pack quite a bit of merch inside. The menu included coffee, milkshakes, and baked treats on top of your standard ice cream cups and cones. Everything on it was pretty reasonably priced and looked so yummy! I tried a scoop of the Strawberry Matcha on a plain waffle cone while my fiancé tried an Orange Cream Milkshake. My ice cream was absolutely delicious! The matcha flavor was bold but without the tea's natural bitterness, and the frozen strawberries were a yummy add in for sweetness. My one complaint is that I couldn't finish my waffle cone because the glue on the paper wrapper got stuck to it. I'm not normally a creamsicle fan but the Orange Cream was pretty tasty and as bubbly as it could get. Not to mention, the super bendy straw they gave us for it was fun to make shapes with! I'd definitely like to return to try more of their flavors and maybe play one of the games outside on their covered picnic tables. It's definitely worth a visit!

I had been wanting to stop by and try the ice cream here, for a while. The ice cream shop itself is so charming and welcoming. Beautifully and aesthetically designed. We tried the following flavors: lemon sorbet, cotton candy, cookies and cream, and mint chip. All flavors were absolutely delicious! So creamy and flavorful. They also Offer pastries and drinks and have a cute and beautiful selection of gifts and merchandise. Outside, they have some cornhole and jenga to play with and picnic benches to enjoy ice cream if you want to enjoy your ice cream outdoors. Service and ambiance were great! Definitely a new favorite ice cream shop and we will definitely be returning soon and often!

My friends and I were originally…read moreheaded to Sonny's, but there was a two hour wait so someone suggested we try this restaurant instead and I'm glad we did. It was a 10 out of 10 experience overall. The service was fine but the food really stood out. I ordered the burger and fries which were surprisingly delicious. The chips and queso were also really good which says a lot since I'm not usually a chips and queso person. Prices were very reasonable as well which we all appreciated. My friend ordered the mini crab cakes and loved them especially because they weren't heavily breaded. Overall no real complaints except one of the lemon drops came out without the sugar rim that was listed on the menu and our server did not seem interested in correcting it.

A Hill Country Gem Worth the Drive…read more Hatch Café & Bakery is a cozy little gem in the Bulverde Hill Country. The indoor and outdoor seating gives it such a warm, relaxed vibe, and the bakery case is always stocked with cookies, danishes, muffins, and more. Their menu covers everything from brunch to sandwiches, burgers, and salads. I brought my family visiting from North Carolina, and it was the perfect spot. I had an amazing cappuccino with oat milk and caramel, and my go‑to favorites -- the Chilaquiles Hatch and French Toast -- were just as good as always. Service was A+ and a must‑try if you're anywhere near Bulverde.
