The wine was very good. The food was meh... basic American café with some fancy additions (gouda and havarti cheese). The pasta salad was bland and gummy. The potato chips and pickle chips were basic, not even pickle spears. The ambience is a mixed up eclectic with odd choices of art prints. The service was adequate but maybe under staffed. Well date nights are few and far between for us and I am so happy we picked Devine for dinner. The service was great, our server was so attentive. I loved the decor, very hill country chic with mood lighting. I had the lobster risotto special and it was delicious. The hubs had the shepard's pie and he was very quiet, a good sign. I happened to have the day off and decide to explore someplace new to do my daily bible reading (especially because it's Numbers and if you know, you know). The service was impeccable! The restaurant is so clean, calm, and relaxing - a perfect place to get into the Word. They've had light rock playing in the background. A bit of the Beatles for a good while there, but it's not obnoxiously loud. The bruschetta was delicious but that Chicken Poblano Soup... OMG! I was burning my mouth to eat it because it was too delicious to wait for it to cool down. I decided to finish off the end of my flight with the Italian Creme Cake and it was just *chef's kiss*. Honestly, I've been going through trials the past few weeks and struggling to eat, but yall made it really easy to set my struggles aside, focus on the Word, and enjoy delicious food. First time back since they expanded with a full size kitchen and bigger space. As a solo diner, I really appreciated the bar area. It was comfortable and a great spot to a get a glance of all the action in the kitchen. Had the sea bass with mashed orzo and vegetables. The food was good, but the experience was horrible. It took 30-45 minutes for a drink and appetizer. I had to ask a couple of times for a drink and the waiter had to tell the bartender to make my drink. Then my wife got her food 30 minutes before I got my meal. So we ended up not eating with each other. One meal was supposed to come with vegetables and we never got them. We said never mind. We saw another couple who was getting ignored so we had to ask for them to get water. We asked that someone check on them as we were leaving and got dismissed. We will not be back. read more

Love the ambience and the service but they were understaffed. Our server was so sweet, but she was very busy while I saw a couple other gentlemen servers always just standing around. The food was not great. The avocado toast was two huge pieces of bread with paper thin guacamole spread. Could've just done one piece of bread with a large amount of avocado... Not guacamole, on it. The Monte Cristo was also not good. Then little pieces of ham and mostly bread. When you think of a Montecristo, you think of a big crispy sandwich and this was basically some melted cheese and ham. The potatoes were undercooked, and they were no sweet potatoes in the hash or in my side which I was told it was a mixture of sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. My bloody Mary was basically a glass of tomato juice The only people that like their food, got pancakes and French toast. We had a big party and all agreed we would not be going back. We did enjoy the party room that we were seated in, but it was stuffy and hot . We had to clear our own plates and set them off on a side table. It was Sunday brunch and they were busy, but someone should've stepped in and helped her. I stepped out several times and always the same to you guys standing around and her running food. I think it'd be a great place if they had better food because the atmosphere was really cute. I would not recommend the breakfast hash. The meat was flavorless. I actually spit it out. My side salad was nice, although it's hard to mess up a side salad, which they did by serving me some watery blue cheese dressing with no blue cheese in it. The Valentine's Day meal was served in stages: To begin with, let me say that the Espresso Martini was so good, maybe one of the best Ive had! The servers were very sweet and checked on us many times so no problem there. The next stage was the salad and while it was delicious, there was such a small amount of it....maybe 4 bites! There were only two entrees to choose from: shrimp and pasta or ribeye steak and mashed potatoes. One of us had the shrimp dish and the other steak. The pasta dish was much too spicy and the steak was so fatty that maybe 2-3 bites were enjoyed. For such a special day and an expensive meal, it was such a disappointment The dessert was offered as Chocolate Lava cake with cream cheese icing and it was really just a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese icing. While tasty, we were just expecting something more special for Valentine's Day. We love the Divine Wine Bar and have been there many times; normally we have the filet mignon, always delicious, and the appetizers are great, but this meal did not measure up. We travel to visit to Spring Branch often and always make a special trip to Devine. The food is always delicious and the wait staff is top notch. We love enjoying their delicious cauliflower pizza with a bottle of wine to make sure we save room for one of their off the charts desserts. Recently went to this establishment, had the meat lasagna and a salad. Shortly after returning home, I experienced a stomach illness. I then called the establishment the following day and simply asked for the health inspection score. I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE NOT BEEN INSPECTED! We tried Devine Wine Bar in their new, larger location. I love the new layout and decor. It's comfortable and large enough to serve their many fans! We had a large party of 9. There was another large group there as well. The service, provided by Ethan was fantastic. He was attentive, but didn't make us feel rushed. All the food was good - though we asked for our cauliflower crust pizzas to be crispy, and they were not. They were tasty, but a little limp in the middle. I love the Fig pizza. It sounds weird, but the pancetta and blue cheese give it awesome flavor. My friend and I split my pizza and the Rosa Linda pizza. They were both good, but the Rosa Linda had Gorgonzola. I prefer the stronger flavor of the blue cheese on the Fig pizza. Others in my party had a combo of chili (with corn bread) & salad with chicken salad on top, adult grilled cheese and a large salad with chicken salad. Everyone was happy with their meal. They also had a great special of $12 for a bottle of sparkling rose! (Yes - a bottle!!). It was perfect for our afternoon birthday celebration. He had the tomato bisque with the ultimate grilled cheese and I had the butternut squash with the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. And they had peach ice tea. What a wonderful and delish lunch. We stopped in around 1:00 on a Thursday and it was not too busy. It will eventually get busy when everyone in Bulverde/Spring Branch finds out how delicious the food is! I ordered the lasagna plate that came with a nice side salad. Large portion so I took half home. My wife had some kind of fig pizza (see photo) that she loved and I tasted and found to be flavorful as well. Very fancy place for out here but the prices were ok ( since I had the leftovers the next day) and the wait staff were fast and efficient. We will definitely be going back to try something different. The only thing I really didn't like was that they charged a 3.5% service fee for using a credit card. Which they should a least tell you a head of time. And they did the percentage of tip on top of tax and the credit card fee which is so wrong. Why do I need to tip on all of that. Which my husband did because he was not paying attention. The restaurant has a nice feel inside. My husband and I had the Special-Beef Stroganoff. The salad was fresh, cold and good. The waitress introduced the Special as beef tips, mushrooms and maybe peas and carrots? That should have been the warning! It arrived, barely warm, served on pappardelle, no beef tips but instead, sliced beef, no sour cream beef gravy and a few shriveled mushrooms. It looked like it was reheated badly. The rumors are spreading that the quality and quantity of the food is declining. The chicken salad was always wonderful and a nice amount, the last few times we had it was dry & a very small portion. The 'meat lover' pizza is a joke, very few pieces of pepperoni & a couple of small chucks of what appears to be ham. The wine pours are beyond chinchy (maybe 6oz?) The margaritas were so sour & bitter we could hardly drink them. The service was great & the ambiance.
