Very nice and comfortable restaurant. Prompt seating and coffee served with a carafe brought to the table. Prices were very reasonable for more than adequate size servings. Definitely worth another visit, when in the area.

This was unorganized and possibly understaffed. It took 10 minutes to be seated because the host/hostess was running around doing other things. Once we were seated and given menus it took a while to place an order. We had stuffed French toast and a mini western omelette, but it took over 30 minutes. At first they forgot silverware. We were able to get it from another server. The food was good but the server didn't come back to check until the busboy had taken some of my husband's dishes while I was still eating. We'd wanted drink refills, but couldn't get our server until she brought the check, and still it took a while to get the card back & sign. It's just sad that they seemed to have plenty of workers, but it was not efficiently organized. The food was good, but be sure to ask for anything you might want when you order or get your food, or you may not get it until you're finished.

Thanks Yelp for helping me find this restaurant- definitely will be back. Great friendly service thanks Lyda. Great breakfast spot plenty of parking out front. Good food and plenty of it yep we have leftovers. It's a 5/5. We will be back.

Wonderful breakfast spot. I enjoyed that they were opened early and had fresh breads. I enjoyed the classic and it was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and very tasty, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the hash browns were excellent, not greasy or underdone. This will be my go to breakfast spot

I went here for breakfast today, being that I was in the area. Upon arrival I managed to find a parking spot. The was looking very good today and the service was awesome too. I decided to order two over easy eggs over corn beef hash, and cubed potatoes topped with cheese and a dollop of sour cream. The eggs were perfectly done. The corn beef hash was flavorful. I love corn beef hash too. The cubed potatoes were very good and cheesy too. I will return to this location again when ever I'm within this area.

First time here. Lived here 7 yrs and keep telling myself I'm going to try this place so today is the day! Walked in on a Saturday at 730 and I was the only one here. I was feeling suspect! Server was very pleasant and greeted me right away. Got the food and wow it was great. Not sure why they weren't busy. If this place did a decor redo, I think it would be packed. Will frequent often!

This place is a gem. I wouldn't say hidden, because it's been in my face for the longest! This has been a place that I've literally passed many times and finally decided to go and see what it was all about. Definitely glad I did! Upon entering, the place is very clean and well kept. We were immediately greeted and sat and everything from that moment was prompt and timely. One of the main things I really like about this place is it's really spacious inside. You're not crammed next to anyone and have your space to enjoy your meal. I ordered the Zesty Smokehouse Sandwich with extra chipotle aioli. This was amazing. All the flavors blended well together and wasn't overpowering at all. For a side, I had hashbrowns, fried hard with cheese, onions and peppers. Thank me later. Your mouth will appreciate me suggesting that to you. My table mate ordered the breakfast tacos, with a side order of Salted Caramel and banana waffles. Here, your eyes can truly be bigger than your stomach, and the portions pretty big. My suggestion is to decide who wants what at the table and mix it up. We tried to conquer all the food at the table but failed. Lol. This is a neighborhood spot that opens at 0630. I'd definitely swing by and give them a try....you'll be back. #EverythingsGood

LAWD!! Run, don't walk to Scramblers. The food was beyond amazing. The portions were huge, fresh and tasty. I was full all day and literally only needed a light snack in the evening. The biscuits under all that topping were light, fluffy and flaky. The buttery taste was spot on. And don't get me started on them lemon blueberry pancakes....OMG!!!

The food was delicious and plentiful. My husband had the Uncle Moose skillet which came with another side. He loved it. Onions were a little undercooked but he likes onions. He finished most of it, it was a lot of. They have a mini version if you want it. I had the Crab Cake Benny and Stuffed French Toast. YOU CAN HAVE BOTTOMLESS FRENCH TOAST! I didn't this time, but one day maybe I will. I got the skin on side of potatoes with the crab cakes. The crab cakes were delicious and made in house. Crunchy skin and soft potatoes. Spot on! Sarah our server was super sweet and attentive. The ambiance is bright and roomy. I plan to come back soon. They open at 6:30AM-3PM

Avocado omelette was very good and portion very generous. Staff was lukewarm welcoming and I was surprised when the waitress did not place the plate down in front of me but put the plate down on the opposite side of the table and slid it across to me. (I was the only one at the table.) It is very clean - I like the casual industrial look but the exposed ceiling insulation is a bit messy looking and detracts from the overall appearance of the site. The music was a little loud - enjoyable, but maybe at a little lower volume as staff had to speak loudly over the music! One big plus is that menu items are clearly marked if gluten free.

We came in through the back since we wanted to sit outside. It was a little hot, but the outdoor area was still enjoyable with a big shade tree in the middle. Definitely a good vibe on the patio. We ordered our food and, for how slow it was inside, the wait felt longer than it should have been. The restaurant wasn't very busy at all, with more people sitting outside than inside. Unfortunately, most of the food came out lukewarm. My roast beef sandwich and potatoes were barely warm, like they'd been sitting for a while, and the bottom bread was completely soaked. Our daughter's grilled cheese came out with the cheese not even melted, so we sent that back along with my sandwich. The salmon and quinoa also arrived lukewarm. The fried fish was cooked too long in the fryer and wasn't great. The bright spot was the short rib tacos my wife ordered. She said those were really good and probably the best thing we had. I do want to give credit where it's due. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. He genuinely saved the experience for us and handled everything with a great attitude. Bathrooms were also clean, which I always appreciate. Overall, the experience was average. Not a top pick for me, but I'd be open to giving it another try in the future to see if things improve. Just wanted to leave an honest review of our visit.

When we arrived, we found this pleasant environment with ample seating outside. As we began to review the menu, the manager of the shop was very friendly and helpful in navigating their menu. Ultimately, I decided to sample the bacon, egg, and cheese wrap. It was quite good. I believe they used a cheddar that was a bit strong for my taste and would have preferred some milder cheese options (like provolone). Regardless, it was tasty. My only complaint (and this may be specific to me) is that they did not have a cola flavored diet drink to offer. Yes, I admit, I need my Diet Coke with my meal. So, I had to walk around the corner and find a place to sell me a soda. Other than that, a great option for a meal.

Our visit to Biscottis in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood managed to do both. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated immediately, and the atmosphere had a welcoming energy that made the restaurant feel like a true neighborhood gathering place. Susan ordered the Quiche Lorraine, and after the first bite we both knew it was something special. The crust was delicate and buttery while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. It was so impressive that we awarded it our Culinary Duo Best of the Best dish recognition, which is something we reserve for truly standout dishes. Peter went in a different direction and ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes with house made white cheddar hash browns. The pancakes were flavorful and comforting, and the hash browns were crispy with bold cheddar flavor that made them impossible to stop eating. Another thing we appreciated was learning that Biscottis carries the Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval, recognizing restaurants that support sustainable agriculture and local food traditions. The salmon BLT is served on bread that is cut so thick you're mostly just eating old/stale bread, and the sandwich is also greasy. Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well.
