    BRUNCH BURGER and BELGIAN WAFFLE
    Ivan Ismael G.

Great spot to go in for breakfast or brunch food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable, if you are trying to get away from the "franchise" breakfast spots this is one to definitely try. Server was great and attentive with a chill atmosphere.

This is my first time at the San Jose location and it was amazing! The staff was very kind and super informative about the menu. I got the Hendricks burger and this was the best burger I have had in a long time. The goat cheese and Dijon had the perfect tang. Its the first burger I didn't need mayo and that's saying something! The blackened grouper was cooked perfectly and my friend loved it. Definitely coming back for dinner to try more options. This was the lunch menu

Was here for brunch over the weekend and I met say I did not enjoy my meal. At least not the steak. I asked for it medium and it was medium well. The steak was dry and pretty tough to chew. The potatoes could've been a bit more flavorful, the garlic overpowered them. I must say our waiter though was very attentive at all times

Stopped in for happy hour this week. They have a really great happy hour! The tuna nachos & zucchini fries were both really tasty (zucchini needed a bit of salt). Interesting cocktail selection. Friendly, attentive service. Easy parking. Will be returning!

We came here for a lunch lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered a steak because why not. It was good. My husband got the burger and he liked it. The espressotini was good but very creamy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside decor and vibe is cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bartender was super friendly.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a fabulous place from the staff to the ambience to the food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We made a reservation for a Thursday at 6 pm. Seated immediately upon arrival and waters brought to the table. My husband ordered Mango Heat which was very tasty. Not too sweet not too spicy. For an appetizer we had the Burrata. Nice sized with pesto and bread. We arrived before 6 pm so our server made sure to tell us that happy hour prices were still in effect. App and drink were half price! For dinner my husband ordered the Short Rib Rigatoni. He raved about it. I had creamy lemon linguine with chicken. So creamy! So flavorful! We both brought home leftovers. Great meal and under $100 including tip.

Great local gem! Good food and great service. If you love wine, visit on Wednesday where bottles of wine are half off.

It was great. But the eggs were cold. Like really cold. Service was decent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is a nice casual. You can sit inside or out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why were the eggs cold on my Mom's egg Benedict and the deluxe toast? That was weird. Overall ok.

Really loved our recent brunch here with the family! The food is delicious and not overly pricey - so many options for everyone. I loved the gumby's bowl, and my group also ordered the hurricane plate and side Caesar, with fries. Everything was plentiful and great! My cappuccino was perfect and even came with pumpkin art in microfoam, a fun seasonal surprise. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is closer to something you might find in Boston- a little dark but brick walls and cozy atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had reservations but were able to seat ourselves. It was very casual and easy - just good food in a comfortable setting. There is a parking lot out front too which was helpful. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. Would definitely go back!

I'm a sucker for breakfast, it truly is the most important meal of the day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This cozy spot not far from downtown Jax was perfect for a pre-game breakfast stop![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Belgian waffle with a side of bacon, my breakfast pals both had the chicken and waffles. I'm not a coffee drinker, literally ever, but one got a latte and the other just drip coffee and both had good reviews upon tasting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Omg for my first experience definitely will be back. Went for a quick girls lunch. The food was delicious I had the shrimp n grits with veggies it was seasoned and shrimp are cooked perfectly. The gravy was demand should be available on other items. My friend got the waffle and home fries the smells of cinnamon are indescribable. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items like the veggie melt and all the sandwiches I saw. The environment was warm and clean. They even had artwork of artist for sale.

This cake was for my niece's 30th birthday party. We picked up the cake on May 27th, 2024, and paid $50.00. I thought the price was high for a plain vanilla cake with buttercream icing and some strawberries on top, but figured it would be worth it from a bakery. But when we cut the cake at her party, it was truly awful! The cake was so dry and actually had a cornbread texture! And the icing was like paste and tasted terrible! Frankly, it ruined her party as no one could eat it. So, a few weeks later, I posted a review on Google with 2 stars and wrote that the cake was very pretty, but the taste did not match the appearance. The owner replied back, stating they wanted to make it right and for me to stop by and see Mark. I called and left a message on their cake order line that I would be in on Thursday, the 20th. So, on that day, I stopped by, and boy, was that a mistake! I introduced myself to Mark. He said yes, he remembered the review, and he did not get my message that I was coming. I said, "Is this a good time?" He then proceeded to look up a picture of the cake on his phone and said "oh you only paid 50.00 for this cake? I paid 20.00 alone in strawberries!" I was taken aback and said well that is what yall charged me and he said it should have been 100.00! I then nicely described what was wrong with the cake and how it ruined the party, and he says Well you want another cake? And i said no why would I want another bad cake, and that was for a birthday anyway, and I was diabetic, and he continued to argue with me and finally I said why did you say that you wanted to make this right and asked me to come in when you obviously don't want to? And he CONTINUED to argue, doubting my word, asking why i didnt try anything in the bakery before i ordered, asking why I took so long to post the review (it was from 5/27th. My husband was in the hospital and then I was ill so I posted the review on 6/15th, which was not even a month later), AND he continued to.complain about my paying "only" 50.00! Finally I said look I am not going to argue with you, I am the customer! You obviously are not willing to make this right, so I am leaving! He says well I offered you a coupon and.I said yes, and I told you I couldn't eat anything here, and also, I do not trust the quality. And he says well what do you want and I said I would accept a partial refund (25.00), and then he REALLY blew up and yelled, "You underpaid by 50.00 already! It should have been 100.00!" With that, I walked out. Please stay FAR away from this store and this angry, belligerent owner! He is also very dismissive and demeaning towards women!

It seems as if they can make any drink hot or cold. I also added a couple of cookies for $4. I then found a table and settled in with a good book. The staff will call you when your order is ready. The latte was sweet and like sipping a coconut macaron. The cookies were a little hard but all in all a welcome snack. The interior is a little loud due to the high roof and general clutter of a coffee shop.

The shop isn't large but it is a warm and inviting with comfortable indoor seating as well as a pleasant outdoor shaded seating area in a great neighborhood on Herschel Street. Coffee nerds will appreciate the beautiful Victoria Arduino Black Eagle espresso machine, a fitting centerpiece for a café that clearly takes its craft seriously. I also appreciate that they still offer 2% milk as an option as many coffee shops have eliminated it in favor of only whole milk and alternative milks, so it's a welcome choice for those of us for whom whole milk is no longer an option. Most importantly, Social House Coffee is one of the few cafés I've visited that truly embodies the "third place" philosophy and is a place you want to spend time. Whether you're stopping in for a quick espresso or settling in for a while, it feels like a community rather than just another coffee shop. If you're anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's the kind of place that reminds you what a neighborhood coffeehouse is supposed to be.
