Since moving to Jacksonville, I feel like Southern Grounds is one of the places that keeps getting mentioned over and over again as a staple of the city. I really enjoyed the tiramisu latte. It was pretty sweet, and the coffee flavor came through really nicely. The pink cloud matcha was decent too. Decent in that it tasted good in general, but the matcha flavor itself wasn't really there. I would definitely come back for the drinks, but the food wasn't that worth it for me. They're generally on the expensive side, or the servings are super small. If you do order food, I feel like the brunch burger is the most worth it. It's a pretty hefty burger, with a perfectly runny egg. And the fries are well seasoned and pretty crispy. The salmon toast was a single skinny slice of bread with only two pieces of smoked salmon on it. Idk I expected like a heftier bread or at least some more smoked salmon. The whipped feta chicken sandwich was good, but nothing too special in my opinion. The chicken was on the drier side, but I really liked the foccacia. Southern grounds does seem like a nice spot to do work though, so I can see the appeal of staying there for a while and just ordering food for convenience's sake, but I think I'll stick to the drinks next time I come.

Wow! Such a great coffee shop with ALOT of space. This would be fantastic for large groups. There are soo many seats. The coffee was fantastic, many different options. As well as the pastries! We will be back!

Came in for a decaf latte and to work from my laptop. I tried the pumpkin pecan muffin but was not a fan. The consistency is almost raw? Super mushy inside. And it's filled with raisins which I really was not expecting in a pumpkin pecan muffin?

Let's start off by saying I have been to a lot of coffee shops and this vanilla latte that I had here was one of the best that I tasted in a very long time. Korean steak bowl was so good, perfect match of spice and salty. There is plenty of seating inside and on the pack patio. The parking lot is really small so you may have to use there additional parking lot about a 100 yards away. The staff were really friendly. Chill vide, a great place to have a meeting or just a quick bite to eat.

I am so surprised I haven't reviewed Southern Grounds. This is a great place for sweet treats and coffee. I see a ton of people working here through the day. I don't come often, but I always enjoy the environment. It's nice to have your laptop and work here. Nice alternative to a Starbucks. The only con I do have is the parking. The parking lot is super tight and difficult to get out.

I'm impressed with the decor & art gallery here! The place is huge, got lucky with parking right outside the cafe. I'm obsessed with the high ceiling and decor here! I tried their popular Iced Macchiato, I can't really taste the coffee because the milk was overwhelming, could use more syrup as well because it was bland. The bagel with smoked salmon bread was also ok, taste wise, it could use a lot of improvement in my opinion. But overall, I had a good experience here, the ambiance is great, spacious place to catch up with friends over coffee! I also checked out the gallery next door, beautiful art! A must see if you're close by.

Fantastic, new wave, coffee shop, very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, staff, wide selection of drinks and coffee origins, really nice holiday specials, and full menu! The café is in a really interesting space (maybe this building used to be a bar?) with tons of natural lighting, and a good amount of seating. It does seem to get a little busy where inside tables are not always readily available, but there's plenty of outside seating too.

Great selection of food, drink, and baked good options. Standard breakfast items and lots of lunch options including salad, bowls, and sandwiches. Parking is a bit tight, but there are 2 locations designated for customers. Loved the spacious outdoor seating patio! Food came out quicker than expected. Breakfast burrito was the favorite item out of the group. Probably wouldn't get a bagel again, but enjoyed everything else.

This is my second review of this unique breakfast place. Great food, nice people & a mellow, cool vibe! I had the breakfast burrito again and my wife had the grit bowl. Both were fantastic!! This will be our go to spot when we visit Jacksonville for a concert or football game! Very convenient from the Riverplace area where we stay when we come in for a show or game! Actual rating for me is 4.5 stars but Yelp does not give you that as an option. Thank you & look forward to our next time in!

Southern Grounds, Neptune Beach is such a cozy cafe. Serving the freshest coffee any way you like it, the best blueberry pancakes and this incredible breakfast burrito with both red and green salsa. Yum.

We went to this location for lunch. My wife and I shared a BIG FAT GREEK PITA. It was very good and had great flavor. I also ordered a BLONDIE LATTE Caramel White Chocolate. It was very good and loved the flavor! Everyone was super friendly and the cafe was very clean. Definitely recommend Southern Grounds!

Did some work here and took a meeting, it was pretty crowded but I did eventually find a table. I had to use an outlet behind the water dispenser, so I do wish they had more outlets. I got the turkey wrap and pasta salad and both were delicious! Cute spot.

I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch with friends Sunday afternoon. It was my first time visiting Southern Grounds and the food did not disappoint! I got in line, ordered my food and grabed my number to take to the table. They had a self-service water station. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with sauteed onions, mushrooms and bacon. Oh my, I don't think I've ever tasted a chicken sandwich so good! The seasoning was perfect, and the sauteed onions and mushrooms complimented the sandwich so well! For my side I chose the Mediterranean salad and I'm so glad I did. There was lots of indoor seating plus a large patio. The downside was parking. But that is the issue for every business in San Marco. There were a few parking spots right beside the building which were all taken. I ended up parking on the street about four blocks away. They did have another small gravel lot just across the railroad tracks. I learned there's another location in Neptune Beach closer to me. I will be checking out this location soon!

You have to order inside and then head to a table with your number and the servers will bring it to you. With a party of 5, our food came out in good time and we got an array of items-- from a breakfast croissant sandwich to little pastries, everything was wonderful. Most of us ended up trying their seasonal matcha drink which was a linzer matcha that came with black cherry and a pistachio cold foam. It has a specific taste but I liked it a lot! It's not a mix of flavors I'd normally think of but I ended up finishing my drink which I don't always do, even with matcha drinks. The croissants & bread were fresh and each dish was beautifully plated. I love a dish that both looks good and tastes good and it delivered both. The outdoor patio is covered and a great spot to enjoy your meal if the weather is beautiful and breezy which is was the day we dined here. The inside is also such a cute vibe. Such a great spot and will definitely be back if I'm in the area!

It's essentially an Iced Shaken Cortado, but they level it up with their in-house smoked vanilla. The balance is incredible; you get that bold espresso kick smoothed out by a subtle, smoky sweetness that is pure magic. It was frosty, delicious, and absolutely perfect for a warm Jacksonville afternoon. Ultimately, I decided to sample the bacon, egg, and cheese wrap. It was quite good. I believe they used a cheddar that was a bit strong for my taste and would have preferred some milder cheese options (like provolone). Regardless, it was tasty. My only complaint (and this may be specific to me) is that they did not have a cola flavored diet drink to offer. Yes, I admit, I need my Diet Coke with my meal.
