Outside of this great little coffee shop

Situated on Main Street in historic Springfield in Jacksonville, this coffee shop offers a relaxing ambience, great coffee selections, and their authentic fresh tacos with real fresh ingredients are delicious. Truly a hidden gem here in Jacksonville. Servers are attentive and kind.

This seems like a new and upcoming cafe. The theme is "art" to put it simply. They have a very cool space here in Springfield, showcasing artistic vibes and homages to infamous artists. The cafe is decorated with local art and re-prints from familiar artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Dali. The best part is you can participate in some coloring as they have plenty of print outs ready for you to color using their collection of color pencils. They set up the space to be very cozy yet eclectic. They have ample seating, whether at a high top, regular table, and/or on a cozy couch. They also have a lot to park in right next to the building or you can opt for on-street parking along Main St. As far as the coffee, unfortunately there is work to be done. I was not impressed with the latte, especially given the price I paid for 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches, nearly $40+ The coffee was watery and easily forgettable, which is very unfortunate. The food was much more impressionable. My keto wrap had turkey, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. I did not love the guacamole, it was brownish in color and the taste was not great. My husband enjoyed his salmon bagel, his favorite part was the chips on the side - he said they were very tasty. They had a few items in the bakery case such as cookies and muffins so if I come back I may just opt for a sweet treat. It seems this place is still finding its footing so hopefully things improve.

What a great place to visit! Lovely food, my daughter had the goya with chicken. It was so refreshing tasting. I went with something less adventurous a bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. The peopered chips were a delightful add on. You will simply be blown away by the art work every where and you are invited to do your own artwork while you wait and converse. The service was so kind and thoughtful! This is going to become a new standard for me!

Update: Owners Reply is False Information. I do not have any friends that own any establishments. I did not say any words to you either as my wife placed the order. Moreover, my profile picture has been the same and has remained the same for over a year now. Yelpers can verify this by clicking on my picture and on the bottom left it says "over a year ago." AND I've uploaded proof of purchase. You have been caught in your lie.

Artessence is a spa and oasis right in the middle of Springfield. Truly a transformative experience. I'm so glad we found this place. The staff is friendly and service was impeccable. They offer a full menu and I know we'll be trying more, but we stopped by today for coffee and dessert. I had the Samuel's Coffee. It is a double expresso with milk of your choice and honey. Bold and soothing at the same time. We also tried the Coconut cake. Amazing-moist, light sweet, just the perfect hint of coconut. It rivals any cake I've had in Jacksonville. The decor and music make this a place where you could simply stay for hours. They provide colored pencils and actually invite you to color. I did. It was like dessert therapy. On the way out, I discussed not only returning, but making this a weekly stop. This is not just a great place to eat. You could walk out truly refreshed as well. Highly recommend you give them a try.

Super cute spot! Artsy! Great place to chill, chat with a friend, or do some work. Great location and lots of options. Staff is super friendly!

Fantastically relaxing inside with great soothing music and coloring pages to relax. Had a yummy hot mocha coffee and a bite of the deliciously decadent coconut cake. Wow, the coffee was perfect, not too sweet and the cake was over the top delicious. The cake was moist and spongy. The icing was thick, sweet and complimented the cake perfectly. Service was warm and welcoming from arrival to departure. A couple of table options outside and different seating options inside including couches, soft chairs, and typical high tables. So many other options to return to enjoy, a real gem In Springfield.

This Hidden Gem of a Coffee Cafe is no doubt one of my favorite places to Chill after a long Week thanks to the environment they have created or just for a Mid Week Lunch Spot with their delicious food menu, fresh coffee & other refreshing drinks. Diana & Jonathan are 2 of the Best, Kind Hearted People You will ever Meet and You will know exactly what I mean once you come to the Shop for coffee, breakfast, lunch or all 3! They Deserve The Community's Support More than Ever with So Many Local Small Businesses closing their doors. Look for the Big Rich Sticker and Let them Know Big Rich Sent Ya and spread the word about this Place!!

The owners were just has friendly and helpful with ordering as the first time I came. My sister ordered a caramel frappe and swore out she'd never had a frappe with as much caramel and when you mixed with the coffee the blend was perfect. I got the Keto breakfast and it was so savory. It starts with sausage, cheese, egg and bacon top's it off! My coffee was perfect and I love they ask how many sugars and creamers and mix it before bringing it to the table. I'm not one to color but my sister loved the coloring page they provided and actually needed to use the pencil sharpener!

I can't believe this place only has three reviews, maybe it's brand new, but I'm not sure. Coffee shops are by far my favorite places to stop in for, I think I saw someone post a review about this place on Facebook and just the picture really caught my attention so track it down to give it a shot. As far as the decor goes This place is very picturesque, I came in early in the morning on a weekday and I'm pretty sure it was the owners that were there they were super nice, as far as coffee goes I really feel like they're menu gives you the type of options outside of the normal that you might be looking for didn't know you wanted to try, the sandwich I had was also amazing It was a sausage egg and cheese but it came on a rosemary bread that was super soft and tasty if you're a big fan of unique coffee shops and you're in the Jacksonville area you'll definitely want to stop by for this one.

Super welcoming by the lovely couple who are serving us. The menu is easy to read with pictures and they are open to any modifications on the drinks. I'm excited to try the white mocha frappe (with coffee and espresso) and come back on another day for the Raphael salad. The shop is comfortable and has plants of seating to eat or enjoy your drinks.

I loved this place. The ambiance, the owners, the food...just a great place I will definitely go back to and recommend to everybody.

The cutest little shop on main street. The seating is so cozy with serveral couch options. For a Friday afternoon things weren't too crowded either. The customer service is warm and friendly. I loved my moca frappe and will probably try one of their many lunch items next.

It's the kind of coffee shop where you can grab a great cup of coffee, sit down for a bit, and actually enjoy the atmosphere. The space feels modern but relaxed, making it a nice spot whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on some work, or just taking a break from the day. The coffee here is excellent. You can tell they take their beans and roasting seriously. The espresso drinks are smooth, rich, and full of flavor without being overly bitter. They also have a nice selection of specialty drinks if you're in the mood to try something a little different. They offer a good variety of breakfast items and pastries as well, which pair perfectly with the coffee. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared--simple but done right. Another thing I appreciated was the friendly service. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the overall energy of the place feels very positive. This was my first time really giving matcha a fair shot, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. The flavor was earthy and nutty, really smooth and comforting. I personally didn't taste much cherry or vanilla, but the matcha itself was good enough that I didn't mind at all. Service was pretty standard--quick, friendly, and easy, which is exactly what you want when you're grabbing a drink and settling in. What I loved most was the atmosphere. It's such a good mix of people--some working, some chatting, some just enjoying their coffee. There are plenty of outlets, lots of space, and it's definitely one of those spots where you can bring your laptop and actually get things done without feeling awkward or rushed. They also have food if you plan on staying awhile, which is always a plus. Overall, Southern Grounds feels like one of those dependable coffee shops you keep in your rotation--good drinks, comfortable vibes, and a great place to park yourself for a few hours. Upon entering the business, I was greeted and was surprised to learn they serve dark roast coffee this late in the day. The seating area is divided into two sides separated by the counter and kitchen. I opted for a dark roast with cream in a mug. Took my number and looked for a two top table among the mix of high school study groups, after school snacks and business meetings. Coffee came quickly and was hot and bold. No real complaints other than parking.
