The food seemed better before the move to Phillips hwy. The last three times we've been(this is super close to home) food has not come out as well as it did in the past. When we pointed it out the servers would give quite a bit of push back and we finally asked for the manager on duty last wk. they weren't super nice/polite about but it is frustrating considering this is somewhere we go WEEKLY, went*. We will not be back, it's annoying to be a dedicated patron and just get crap service and food time and time again.

Headed to an event in this area and looking for a new (to me) spot for lunch. Yelp to the rescue. In an out of the way area you come upon this hidden little gem. Parking lot was full so that was a good sign, and the aromas wafting out the door beckoned us in quickly. As others have said, it is a bit loud, and communication a bit challenging if you are not a Spanish speaker, but we had no problem pointing out our desired menu items. I had the guacamole dip as an appetizer, and ordered the lunch fish tacos. It is nice when a restaurants has a lunch menu that is available 7 days a week! The guacamole was small, but very tasty. Full of very tasty avocados. The fish tacos were stuffed with fish pieces, crunchy and juicy bites, served with simple lettuce and huge pieces of avocado. The rice & beans were very good. The rice pretty simple, but the beans were incredibly flavorful. They were quite busy during our visit, and seem to be "the spot"!

Maybe not the greatest look from outside, but the inside houses done really good Mexican food. Service is fantastic, I normally get take out. My biggest challenge was locating it, but one I did I keep going back. I only go here for lunch, since I do not live nearby. It is a small location, but for lunch I think it is great spot. Easy parking, well cooked food, simple recipe for goodness.

I am ashamed it has taken me this long to review Mi Veracruz! This is a gem in Spring Park, authentic Mexican food and ambiance and I love it. They have been around for years and just about 2 years ago they added a tienda and addition to their dining room. They are always packed and every time I go in there it feels like they are all a big family . I order shrimp sopes with rice and beans, that's my go to dish. The sopes are perfect, always cooked well and loaded with beans, lettuce, guacamole and cheese. The rice and bean serving is huge and taste amazing! Next time you're in the neighborhood make sure to stop by!

The service here is top notch! Always love the music and the vibes the restaurant gives on each visit. The food is always hot and fresh and delicious!! The frozen margaritas are great too, try the mango/strawberry mixed. You won't regret it! Try Mi Veracruz out whenever you get a chance...definitely worth the trip!!

Off the beaten path? Check! You call to order and they answer in Spanish? Check! You walk in and feel like a tourist ? Check check check! This is my most favorite Mexican restaurant in this side of town. Call it a hole in a wall, this place is where all my foodie dreams come true. It's me and the food baby. I can't tell you how many times I've been here because their food is just so good it makes you think about it a week later and crave more!!! As always, 5 stars! This is a hidden gem!

A small building that seen better days houses a business that produces some very good Mexican food. I had the carnitas and asked for them spicy. Truly a great dish and one I heartily recommend. Pork and onions in a spicy sauce, served with rice, refried beans, and tortillas. It seems especially true for Mexican food but you can find the best representations of that particular cuisine in small hole in the walls much like this one. This restaurant reaffirms that belief.

Stopped in for their taco Tuesday...but I forgot that the taco Tuesday tacos are hard shell only...I got street tacos--oops! Oh well? Despite my error, I got chicken and steak Street tacos...they were pretty decent...the meat in both were seasoned well...a solid spot for tacos...7 out of 10

I really enjoyed this little spot! It's not pretty but the food is amazing! Very authentic and reasonably priced. Just as a note- very few employees speak English. Communicating with our server was a bit hard but we made it work! They are very kind and patient. I have the traditional style tacos. I don't know what the green sauce was exactly but I could have drank it! It was so flavorful and just the right kind of spicy. The meat was perfectly seasoned and nice and tender. My partner had one of the lunch specials with a taco and a chicken enchilada. I had a bite of his rice and beans and they were super good. The salsa was really good too and seemed to be homemade. This is right by my work so I see it becoming a regular!

We were there late on a Sunday night. It was slow when we got there but business picked up a bit and there was a steady stream of customers. We sat in the bar area and ended up being inadvertently serenaded by some of the more tipsy patrons at the bar. (The manager even came up to us and asked if we were bothered, we said no, we were enjoying it and we really were. Lol) The TVs were tuned into soccer (football). The feel inside was like an old, worn (but clean) family country/sports bar. We started off with chips, salsa and queso. The salsa was good and spicy and the queso was delicious. The food came out fast and was very good; hot, fresh and very affordable. My husband had the "fajitas de casa" (steak) and there were enough that he couldn't finish them and had to take a small box home. I had the carnitas and the chunks of roasted pork were fork tender, crispy (on the outside), juicy (on the inside) and delicious (all over). The fresh corn tortillas were a delight. We both loved the beans and rice. (The beans were both chunky and creamy, the way I like it.) The guacamole on our plates was small but delicious. All in all, it was a very fun little place with nice workers and really good food.

It's so refreshing to have a taste of authentic, non-Americanized Mexican food! I had a craving for street tacos and this place hit the spot. The prices are a great bargain for the amount of food and flavor you'll get. The only not so great thing about dinner was that the margarita was a bit salty, but who am I to complain about 2-for-1 margaritas. We'll be back soon!

Service at the bar was great. Food arrived faster than expected, but I had also got there as their night was winding down. My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. They had a DJ outside pumping out fast and upbeat music for the party and an outside margarita stand for grab and go drinks. When I arrived back just after 9, I had told them to take us off the list. She informed me that they tried calling me. Nothing came through on my phone, but she did show her call log and sure enough, it showed they called me around 8:20. My friends and I probably would have stayed to eat here originally had we been given a more realistic wait time guesstimate. An hour and a half wait vs 3.5 hours is much more feasible. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I've always enjoyed Anejo.

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.
