Fernando is honestly exactly what you want out of a waiter! He's super accommodating and truly makes the experience feel personal. The burrito sizes are HUGE! They offer drink specials on each week night! The place is always clean!

I have not been here in quite some time in fact, pre-Covid. I like how they separated the booths with a piece of wood that was nicely stained. I got the fajita chicken quesadilla, which I have to say was quite large and stuffed to the rim with fresh vegetables and the fantastic chicken! Their rice is prepared with chicken broth and really tasted good was not dried out which most Mexican restaurants due to their rice. It was rich and fluffy My family had the shrimp quesadilla did not have a lot of shrimp in it so it was kind of disappointing to see not as much shrimp as should have been. There was definitely twice the amount of chicken, however for the same price in mine. Another family member got the fajita Vegetables which looked great. The black beans I have to say were really salty tonight. That is really my unfortunate biggest disappointment. I love flavorful black beans. These did not have much flavor other than being very salty. Our waitress was kind, not as attentive as I am used to as it took a long time to get an iced tea refill, but she was generally kind. I would definitely return for the value. It was a good deal.

The good? Service was great, drinks are strong (I had a spicy margarita. It wasn't spicy at all, but it was strong), and the restaurant is nicely decorated with Mexican art. It's a friendly and family oriented atmosphere. The ok? I got the burrito and enchilada, my husband got the grilled chicken tacos (soft tortilla obviously. Hard shell isn't a real taco...)... The food was kinda salty and overall, just ok. I've had better Mexican food elsewhere (and I LOVEEEE Mexican food). There's no bad. Like I said, the place is nice, great service, strong drinks, and ok food. It just didn't hit. But I'm glad I tried the place.

Went on a little lunch date with my wife and decided to try Don Juan's after seeing it on Yelp. I had the 3 grilled chicken tacos with chips and queso, plus an Old Fashioned. My wife went with a chicken burrito lunch and a spicy margarita. Overall, it was a nice lunch spot. Drinks were strong, food was decent, and the prices were fair. The vibe was chill with a relaxed atmosphere, and they have outdoor seating if the weather's nice. For me, it's more of a one-and-done spot, I wouldn't go back, but if you're in the area and want to give it a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

My favorite Mexican for the absolute very best chicken flautas! I've ordered them at multiple other places and am always disappointed. Also most Mexican restaurants I love one thing but others are just okay. Don Juan's has the best fresh salsa and my favorite queso. The servers are friendly and your food arrives quickly! Simple but delicious dishes!

Meh. The server was incredibly unfriendly and the food missed the mark overall. The chips and salsa were very bland as was the rice and black beans. However the chicken was very flavorful and delicious! Super tender and the juices from the chicken gave the rice some flavor. If the service was better, I would give Don Juan's another try, but unfortunately that was not the case.

It was my first visit here and it happened to be Cinco de Mayo! It was so fun! The chips and salsa was just fabulous on the table. The fajitas I got were chicken steak and shrimp mixed and they were absolutely fabulous! They also had a singer walking through the restaurant and it was just delightful. Totally recommend this place not only for the food but a fun experience!

Had a taste for authentic Mexican food so decided to come here. It was delicious as usual. Today I got the pomegranate margarita and a shredded chicken quesadilla. It was delicious!!

Don Juan is always a great place to go visit if you want great Texmex food! The staff is super friendly and very tentative, the restaurant is always clean and has enough space for big groups. The food always tastes fresh and hot! They have an extensive selection of food and drinks.

Came to town to visit a friend who lives next door and tried this place- pretty reasonable prices. I had the shrimp taco and chicken quesadilla which were filling and enough flavors. They gave complimentary chips and salsa. The decor was simple and service was great!

This is an updated review from my past five star review. Upon our last return to this restaurant things were different. Definitely the food quality had changed, and the flavoring had changed as well. The tacos were filled with meat that was more liquid and mushy than actual beef. And also the flavoring was off. We did not recognize any of the staff that we are used to. Maybe management changed or something I'm not sure. We will probably try one more time before we decide not to go back.

Service at the bar was great. Food arrived faster than expected, but I had also got there as their night was winding down. My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. They had a DJ outside pumping out fast and upbeat music for the party and an outside margarita stand for grab and go drinks. When I arrived back just after 9, I had told them to take us off the list. She informed me that they tried calling me. Nothing came through on my phone, but she did show her call log and sure enough, it showed they called me around 8:20. My friends and I probably would have stayed to eat here originally had we been given a more realistic wait time guesstimate. An hour and a half wait vs 3.5 hours is much more feasible. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I've always enjoyed Anejo.

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.

To me it had more of a chain restaurant feel, kind of like something you'd get at Chili's rather than a more authentic Mexican spot. Drinks were mixed for us. My wife had margaritas and enjoyed them, honestly I don't think she's ever met a margarita she didn't like. I tried the Old Fashioned, which just wasn't my style. It tasted more like Fireball on the rocks than a traditional Old Fashioned. One thing they definitely did right was the service.
