40. Enchilada Supreme
Ruben L.

I decided to go here for lunch today. The food here is always excellent, and there are a lot of menu items to choos from. This restaurant served authentic Mexican foid as well. The service here is always good. I really love the ambiance of this restaurant, even though its a small restaurant. There is always plenrlty of parking here. The res here are always presentable and clean. Today I decided to go with a beef taco and chicken enchilada combo platter. The enchilada was topped with red sauce, which was mildly spicy and not to over powering. The beef taco was very good and shell was very crispy. The cheese that they use was fresh and flavorful. If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican food, I highly recommend this restaurant.

44. Taco Combination

I was in FL for work and craving tacos. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and taken to a table. I ordered the 2 taco combo with chicken and added an extra beef taco. The chips and salsa were ok but I've had better. My tacos were good but the crunchy taco became soggy before I could eat it. Each taco was stuffed with meat, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. The rice and beans were lacking flavor but adding hot sauce helped. The service is great and the prices reasonable but I'm not sure I would go back.

Service was good. Nothing special but it didn't need to be. The food was delicious maybe the most authentic Mexican ive wver had outside of Mexico! Spanish music playing but overall pretty quiet inside. Nice ambience! The food was delicious! And HOT. The food was just cooked and you can tell! I would recommend it 100%

I went there for lunch and it was really busy. The food was great! The person who served me was really helpful in choosing what to eat. I'll for sure go back again.

Burrito with extra toppings

I frequent this place since I work nearby. It's affordable, quick, no frills, and good to the taste. I like their salsa a lot for the chips, just make sure you get enough of it as they can be quite stingy! I usually get one of the combos with rice and beans ... you literally can't go wrong with any of them. Nice place on the inside, but I have never actually sat down to eat as I always order take out.

Lunch menu

After leaving a meeting nearby, a few colleagues and I visited Hola for a weekday lunch. We arrived just before it started getting really busy. Tortilla chips and salsa were placed on the table as we reviewed the menu. The chips were light and crispy but they had a strange taste to them that was somewhat off putting. The same issue happened with the chicken nachos, which were generously topped with shredded chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, and sour cream. I poured some of the table salsa on top of the nachos to add a little flavor but the main issue with them was that the weight of the toppings made the chips soggy. My entree was better than the appetizers. I got the two empanadas meal - one chicken and one beef - which was served with rice and beans. The empanadas were excellent, particularly the beef one. The crust was thick enough but still soft with a slight crunch and the filling was plentiful. I also enjoyed the refried beans and rice. The lunch menu was expansive, with 30 offerings, and their more extensive regular menu was also available. The food came out of the kitchen fast and despite the busy lunch hour, service was very attentive. With the reasonable prices I can see why this place is so packed.

Lunch special #7 Empanadas

I love Hola! I work nearby and pickup lunch to go at least once a week for a few years now. The #5 is my favorite, but today I tried the #7 (pictured). Their salsa is always fresh, chips are never soggy, and the food is great. They're a small business and I always see the same women working when I come in. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a super cute authentic vibe. I definitely recommend if you're looking for lunch places near downtown or Springfield. There's construction going on in the roadway out front but the business is still easily accessible. They offer GrubHub delivery as well.

Chicken Chimichanga w/rice & beans

We've been wanting some regular Tex-Mex, nothing ultra-fancy, fussy or fusion, etc., and we definitely got it here! The menu had all the standard dishes you expect and desire. The place is absolutely adorable, inside and out. Not brand new at all, rather careworn, but colorful and clean and very cheerful. We were waited upon by the owner and for lunch on a Saturday, it wasn't busy but there was a steady stream of people coming in/out and picking up take out. We were given chips and each of us received individual dishes of salsa (more sauce than chunk but a nice mild heat). That was a very nice touch because my husband likes his salsa on the spicier side and he added some of the hot sauce on the table to his. (Plus it eliminates the whole "double dipping" issue that some people get perturbed by. LOL) We did run out of chips and we given another basket. Food came out pretty quick and plated nicely. (See pics. No pics of my husband's dish because he started eating before I could get a pic.) I had the chicken chimichanga - crisp on the outside, but still fork tender without splintering. It looks small in the picture, but it was almost all tender white meat with a little bit of tomato, pepper and onion inside. It was opened ended (not folded like a burrito) so when it was fried, the meat at the ends got a little crispy. Delish! My daughter had the burrito supreme (beef with bean) and my husband had a combo plate (Pancho Villa #2 LOL) with a burrito and a taco. All three of the dishes came with rice and beans which were great. The beans had a bit of chunk (which I like) and the rice was very soft & tasty. The sour cream and real guacamole that accompanied all our meals were generous in size. My daughter's plate was a bit heavy on the lettuce, but she had no complaints and ate it all. We weren't going to do dessert, but when he suggested Fried Ice Cream, we broke down and ordered one to split. You might not be able to tell by the picture, but it was very large and definitely is meant to be shared. It was very good and between the 3 of us, we finished it off. Last, but not least, I used a certificate ($10 off minimum of $20) from Restaurant.com and it was accepted without a problem. I do admit, after reading some of the previous reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. I am glad we went and we were very satisfied with the whole experience.

Service at the bar was great. Food arrived faster than expected, but I had also got there as their night was winding down. My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. They had a DJ outside pumping out fast and upbeat music for the party and an outside margarita stand for grab and go drinks. When I arrived back just after 9, I had told them to take us off the list. She informed me that they tried calling me. Nothing came through on my phone, but she did show her call log and sure enough, it showed they called me around 8:20. My friends and I probably would have stayed to eat here originally had we been given a more realistic wait time guesstimate. An hour and a half wait vs 3.5 hours is much more feasible. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I've always enjoyed Anejo.

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.

To me it had more of a chain restaurant feel, kind of like something you'd get at Chili's rather than a more authentic Mexican spot. Drinks were mixed for us. My wife had margaritas and enjoyed them, honestly I don't think she's ever met a margarita she didn't like. I tried the Old Fashioned, which just wasn't my style. It tasted more like Fireball on the rocks than a traditional Old Fashioned. One thing they definitely did right was the service.
