The sides with our meals were nice and fresh, but again lacking overall flavor. I am a coffee and chair love so naturally I got the dirty chai. The coffee overpowered in this and I wasn't able to taste chai at all. My husband's mocha latte was bitter, understandable as I know some places have more bitter and strong coffee, but it was just hard to taste other aspects of the lattes we ordered. I like the aspect of being healthy, homemade, and fresh but i wish there was some level of flavor and character, especially at this price point (spent $50 on two meals and two coffees/drinks). Absolutely amazing. It is local, it is expensive, but it is fresh and delicious and anytime I'm in the area I asked my friend to take me here. I had a bagel with sprouts and onions and cucumbers and cream cheese. They have multitude of different bagel and sandwich options, along with some freshly made salads and pastry. Their drinks can be made to order and they were very aware of different allergens. The place is super cute, with a sitting area and nice wooden tables. They keep it clean. The bathrooms are also well kept and single room. I love it kira, and you can take it to go and walk directly onto the beach. If it's a nice day I highly recommend doing that. For being a quick walk across the street from my house I can't complain.... except for the fact that I have to resist eating a bagel everyday. I try to limit it to once a week as a special treat before work. The bagels are the best I've ever had! It's maybe not even the bagel itself but the combination of jalepeno cream cheese and the crunch of fresh veggies. YUM!! This is personally my favorite coffee shop to work from, but I'm better staying put at home. My only downside is I personally don't love the coffee and this causes actual stress since I love the coffee from another shop close by but I'm obsessed with the bagel. Went here two mornings in a row when visiting. Had the Mr Loco on a bagel the first morning which was delicious. The second morning I got the NY Bagel and it was so fresh! They did run out of plain bagels by the time we ordered both mornings, but the others were still great. Everything tasted very fresh and not greasy at all. This place is bar far the best coffee shop/cafe in Jacksonville! I've been going here since it was a tiny little hole in the wall back in 2010. I'm very glad it's continued to grow and thrive over the years. I moved across the country and never found a place that feels like home like this place does. The people are awesome and many of the early employees/owners still work here. My personal favorite is the ice coffee with a little simple syrup and oat milk. They make a unbeatable breakfast sandwich here!! It starts with a home made biscuit, 2 fried eggs, melted cheese, fresh sliced green peppers, red onion, and tomato. Food is unimpressive and hasn't change in years. Very expensive for what you get. Although most of the staff is great, I had a terrible experience with the owner (I found out he was the owner) recently. Coffee was lukewarm and I respectfully complained. He treated me like I was making it up. Scoffed at me. He angrily ordered one of his staff to make me a new cup. Guy is the definition of rude. It is SO disappointing that my sister was BANNED from here yesterday after receiving horrible customer service from an employee and even worse from the rude owner, Kevin. She ordered a sandwich vegan and they put cheese on it. When she brought it back they argued that she didnt order it correctly and make her PURCHASE another sandwich. After checking out their options, I opted for an egg bagel sandwich, with a large iced latte. The wait for my food was short. The sandwich was good, and I can tell it was made with quality ingredients. The coffee provided a much needed boost of energy, as I had hours of road time ahead of me. Coffee Slushie! Let me say it again so it can really sink it. They have COFFEE Slushies. Or as they call it Granita, as you might have realized I'm a bit obsessed with coffee. I only drink it every day. So when o walked in here on a super hot Florida day I was reading the menu and preparing to order my usual of iced latte. That's when they told me they also have a granita. Of course having no idea what that I had to ask to find out. That's when she blew my mind. She told me a granita is a blended coffee "slushie" of sorts.She asked if I'd like a sample so of course I said yes. I think I might have actually said hell yeah in my excitement. It truly is amazing. Nice and sweet and super refreshing and with only three ingredients! Coffee, unsweetened soy milk and honey. It is really delightful and on a hot day it's the best thing in the world. I've been back here three times since then. Quality has always been the best. One final thing to note, they do add their flavor shots to the granita. So that caramel and vanilla can really bring it over the top. If you are over near the Jacksonville pier you have to come and check out this deli/coffee shop. Very cute with excellent customer service. My wife and stop here every time we are on this side of town. The pastries are AMAZING!!! The blueberry scone is to die for. Their banana walnut bread is delicious. Went with my husband and brother, who had both been to Delicomb in the previous week with good experiences. Regrettably, there wasn't much in the way of GF options except for salad, but that's not the reason for my 1 star review. I started to order first, but when I asked if they had any GF bread or specific GF options, was told no... in an annoyed, eye rolling kind of way. So my brother ordered his food while I took more time with the menu. Once my brother ordered, he left to sit down... I'm still standing there expecting to place my order. But the cashier just walks away. Said nothing. So I stood there for several minutes waiting. Several different people behind the counter walked by several times... no one interacted with me, so I'm still waiting patiently. Finally, a guy asked if I needed something and I said I would like to order. He was a bit gruff but took my order, and I sat down. Meanwhile, my brother had been reviewing his receipt at the table and realized he had been charged more than he expected, so he went up to the counter to inquire about the extra charges. He had been to Delicomb the week before and wasn't charged extra for the exact same order, so he just wanted to understand. Long story short, the manager was rude and aggressive and eventually just walked away, leaving my brother to wonder what was going on. My brother came back to our table, and about 5 minutes later the manager walked up and laid down a receipt and said "we won't be helping you today" and walked away. Pretty much ran away! We didn't even understand what he said, and so my brother went back up to the counter to ask what was going on - and learned they canceled his food order! So he got his coffee, but they refused to serve him food because he wanted to understand the charges on his receipt. That's a pretty rotten way to treat someone... so my brother had no food while my husband and I ate (just had his coffee - of course, I gave him some of my food). I won't be back... the food was fair, but it's not good enough to put up with that kind of "service". So not only did this manager lose one customer over the situation, he lost three. read more

Delicomb was recommended by few friends during my duration in Jacksonville. I decided to try this place out after I tried a bite of my friend's Mr. Loco 2-egg sandwich, which was delicious. Parking is easy, plenty of spaces throughout in the private lot. However, it can be packed during weekends because the parking lot is shared with other businesses. It's an easy walk from the beach. Open 7-4 daily except Mondays. It's definitely a spot to meet for coffee, breakfast, or lunch - starts at 11AM. It serves breakfast all day! My two visits were for lunch. The counter service is quick and easy. I'd recommend you to look at the menu wall before you order. Staff is eager to help with suggestions. Locally owned and operated, it's a hipster spot with a casual atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside and outside. There is free WIFI available, but I'm not sure how the WIFI is. FOOD: Naomi Wrap (2/5, Grilled Tempeh, White Radish Kimchi, Cheddar, Avocado, Carrot, Cucumber, Honey Lime Vin): Goodness, this had too much of the white radish kimchi. The white radish was overpowering and took away the flavor of the other ingredients, so I ended up taking half of it out. I couldn't taste much of the honey lime vin and the grilled tempeh, and I would add more avocado pieces in the wrap. It was lacking in some flavor, so I ended up using Sriracha for a hint of spice. I wouldn't order this again. I chose the lemon quinoa and black beans, which was okay. T-Bam Wrap (3/5, Turkey, Bacon, Avocado, Mayo, Hummus, Honey, Romaine, and Tomato): This was pretty good but not as taste blowing as Mr. Loco. I'd order this again. This is like a turkey club in a wrap. The slight honey definitely makes this amazing! Just sweet and savory. I decided to go with the Farro for the side.
