DO NOT sleep on Naked Kitchen on Liberty! Took friends last night and we already have plans to go back. This is my second time now and everything has been fantastic! Breakfast served all day. Every dish had flavor, something interesting (spice or topping), and portions were huge for the prices. All pasta and sauces made in house. You can taste the love in this food. My friends from the beach raved about the food. The owner and service were perfect. The tables and dining area is inviting and not stuffy or fussy and just relaxed, exactly where you want to spend meals with friends and family. She said they source locally so menu is always slightly changing depending on what they have available so don't go solely on the website menu. They have sake, kombucha, beer, wine (+bubbles), and handmade juices. Fresh baked bread. Current menu in pics, other side was at least 6-8 breakfast items I didn't snap. This is some of the best food I've had in a long time! I've already visited twice in one week and I'm working my way through the menu. The Vietnamese coffee (iced coffee) is lightly sweetened and was a perfect pairing for the pork belly stir fry. The flavors in that dish are incredible! I also had to have the orange beignets during my first visit. They were coated in sugar crystals and felt like an elevated Chinese buffet donut. I cannot get enough of that milk bread. Truly dangerously delish. I was also impressed with the decor. They somehow made an industrial space warm and full of life. This truly feels like a special spot. read more

Our second time here, this time for a fantastic breakfast. Love everything here, the service is great, the space is thoughtfully decorated, and the food is excellent. We each ordered sandwiches and an order of the orange beignets to share. Wow on the beignets, delicious orange flavor, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. My Egg Sando was yummy and very filling. Love their smashed potatoes and added that as my side. Others in our group ordered the fried chicken sandwich with smashed potatoes and the ham & egg Sando with Brussels. Highly recommend the iced coffee, it's refreshing and not overly sweet. I tried this place for lunch one day curiosity. It's off liberty Street off the main road of Main Street. It has somewhat of a hipster vibe to it. I ordered the pork belly breakfast bowl, the corn ribs, and smashed potatoes with kimchi butter. The pork belly bowl seems like there were so much char that I could not really recognize hardly anything I was eating. I asked for a runny yolk and it was more jammy runny. Maybe I should've said sunny side up instead. The dish, while edible was just far too burnt. The other two items were decent. I'm gonna come back and try other things one day. read more

I've already been here 3 times and they just opened! Everything is so fresh and incredibly flavorful. My top favorites at the moment are the cold sesame noodles, kung pao Brussels and orange beignets. They make the noodles fresh in house! Every bite of Brussels packs a flavor bomb. The beignets are creamy fluffy goodness and I'm not even a sweets gal. I do order a main but add on 3 sides cause how can one not try them all. Haven't tried an item I didn't like. Was at a community event and this place came up. The whole group of us could not stop singing their praises. Also, the folks who work here are some of the sweetest around. It's super comfy, welcoming and kid friendly. Great for groups or a casual hang. I forgot to mention the fresh seasonal juices. To put it bluntly, the food was bland. Presentation looks great but the food was way too oily. Every bite lacked flavor. I got the ham sando and steak n cheese sliders with garlic noodles. The noodles were way too overbearing with garlic. Yes it is garlic noodles but way too salty and too much garlic that I couldn't finish it. The ham and cheese sando looks amazing but taste wise was generic unfortunately. The sliders were dull and lacked taste. Potatoes weren't half bad. I loved the aesthetic of the place and great service. But the food needs some work. Came hungry and left full but unsatisfied. Overall I give it a 6.3. read more

This place has such an interesting and innovative menu. Decorated nicely inside. It is in an unexpected location for sure but not hard to find. Went with the rendang melt with kimchi fried rice as the side. Also got a side of brussels. I tasted the steak fried rice also and it was excellent. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. Naked Kitchen was a fantastic find this past weekend and I'll know we'll be going back as soon as we can. Really hearty breakfast and brunch food with a perfect Asian/American blend. Outside looks like a converted warehouse space and that theme is kept on the interior. It's really a nice decor the combines industrial theming with unique lighting, splashes of bright color and wall decor that includes hanging cookbooks. You order at the front. The kitchen is visible and everyone was pleasant and very helpful. You take a number to your table and the service was very quick. Most of the food comes with some sort of aoli. That's not my thing and they were very agreeable to take my order without it. My wife raved about the crispy deviled eggs, the Brussels and the fried rice. Her entire meal was a sampling of the excellent sides. I was fortunate enough to order a "special" that turned out to be one of the best things I've eaten. The Fried chicken sandwich was easily the best I've had anywhere. I ordered it without aoli and the honey butter was plenty. It was huge, perfectly fried and flavored. Inside was juicy and cooked perfectly. The most brilliant thing was the bread. It was milky and sweet. It was a sandwich but had the vibe of elevated chicken and waffles in taste. It was amazing. The potatoes on the side were likewise hearty, flavorful and the perfect blend of savory and sweet, crispy and soft inside simultaneously. Both just brilliant. I highly suggest you try this gem. Amazing from start to finish! You walk in the door and feel like family. Service was amazing. Everyone was tentative & patient while we decided what we wanted. They have a happy hour! (I forgot to get a pic of the menu, but it's worth it and ends 6ish) We ordered the Kung Pao Brussels, crispy rice, crispy shrimp onigiri, pork wontons, tuna sando, steak and cheese sliders, miso beans, and the fried deviled eggs. Fortunately I had the opportunity to sample a few things from their menu during a work event. The building is still being added to but there is a good bit of space, obviously we had a work event there with about 30-40 people and there were still tables free for there usual lunch guests. The brussel sprouts, a must try! So delicious. Everything is locally sourced, fresh and you can taste it with each bite. The chorizo tacos were bomb and I think the tortillas were made of potato, not sure but whatever it is, it made for a nice blanket. The chicken sandwich was cooked well and the bread was made fresh. My only pit with that is there was a sauce that looked like it may have a kick and bring the sandwich to life, but it fell flat, which means the sandwich was as good as it could be. The staff was pleasant and patient. There was a cantelope agua fresca that was different and delicious. Certainly a spot worth trying and it's in the up and coming Phoenix district area so I'm sure it will soon be a local fave. read more

Delicious food, amazing decor, and some of the friendliest staff I've had the pleasure of meeting. A very much needed restaurant , not only in the Springfield neighborhood, but in Jax as a whole that delivered the perfect balance of taste and nutrition that would normally go overlooked. Both the steak sliders as well as the kimchi grilled cheese hit the right spot without feeling too heavy. I could eat the kung pao brussel sprouts breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We started with the Orange Beignets (orange goat cheese doughnuts with garlic chili honey) and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were crispy clouds from heaven. I had the Pork Belly Fried Rice, and it earned every word on the menu: Korean BBQ pork belly, kimchi, a fried egg, gochujang aioli. Rich, punchy, perfectly balanced, the kind of dish you keep eating past full because you can't quite put the fork down. My wife went with the Egg Breakfast (two eggs, Korean fried chicken, breakfast potato, milk bread toast) and it was just as dialed-in. Everything on both plates was exquisite. What an incredible Jacksonville gem, hidden away in the Phoenix Arts District in Springfield! When you walk in, there's an inviting airy, retro vibe. The owners are so friendly and offered to customize our meals. I had the Egg Breakfast with fried chicken. Each piece was the best version of the item I've ever had. The potatoes? Salty and crispy and delicious. The fried chicken? So tender I could cut it with my fork and perfectly crispy. A perfect bite with a little kimchi on top. My over-medium eggs were cooked perfectly and sopped up with some of the best toast I've ever had. I can't believe they got me excited over toast. The Orange Beignets piqued my interest, and I have never been so glad to have impulse-bought dessert. They were like little pillowy, moist, flavorful, crispy clouds! I got the blackend shrimp pasta my husband og the stake and cheese sliders we got the peach cobbler(made to order) and the beignet. It is so good. We spent about $75 and well worth it!
