Love Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food and Fast Eddy's popped up on Yelp and was just around the corner. Restaurant has just a few tables as well as a counter area. So very glad we found this restaurant! William is the owner and his son Will waited on us - both so friendly, helpful and personable! The menu is awesome - a great selection of appetizers, salads, soups/stews, sandwiches and main dishes - many Middle Eastern choices and a few American bites as well. My favorite thing was that dishes and menu sections are named after various family members - William's mom, dad and siblings. We started with the hummus and pita chip appetizer - so yummy! Hubs and I eat hummus everywhere we go, and this rivaled some of the best! Amazing flavor, creamy with just the right amount of olive oil, garlic and paprika. I had the falafel wrap with a side salad - really good! Hugs had the fattoush salad followed by chicken tikka kebab with grilled mixed veggies - he loved it and shared a few tastes with me - delicious! Far and away the best sandwich experience I've had in years! I can't even remember when the last time I've had a sandwich in a restaurant this good! All I can say is, when you go to Fast Eddy's Quick Mideast, get the Derby Fillies sandwich! And I hereby order my readers to GO!! There are good reasons why this awesome Mediterranean cuisine outlet is as close to 5-star as you can get! First, I really like the uniqueness of this ma and pa shop. It's been here at this location now for around four years and seems to have built a nice clientele, but always welcoming of more! The wall decor is filled with pictures of Rock n Roll heroes past and present. And, yes, you will get to have your ears filled with the songs of many of these artists while you eat. I sat at the Ozzy and Randy Rhodes table and I can't say how I feel about that company! The servers were extremely courteous. Reza and Victoria were just outstanding from beginning to the end of our eating experience. I'm very grateful for their looking after us and answering our questions. Looking around at how they treated and dealt with other customers, my feeling is that this is how they treat customers consistently who visit Fast Eddy's. Both of us chose Reza's recommendations. My Derby Fillies might seems like a normal sandwich (sub type) with chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, American cheese on a hoagie roll. However, the way it's grilled in their "Babylonian sauce," really seals the deal on this sandwich. The sauce really blends well with this hot sandwich and you'll be thrilled you chose it! Even better yet, it is a large sandwich, so I had the other half on the next day - just as good as the first! My dearest ordered the Hammurabi burrito. This was another stellar choice as recommended by Reza once again. This sandwich is one of creativity, more than basic like the Derby. It comes on a flour tortilla with pickles, sumac onions, biryani rice, French fries, Amba sauce, chicken, along with garlic spread. Goodness I don't know a few of the items on this burrito! But it also blended excellently together and the pickles made it a treat! I got to eat from it two days in a row and it was just as good as the first day on the second! For sides, I had Mac and cheese. Yes, it was a solid Mac and cheese with some pepper in it. Our other side was the roasted vegetables. These are awesome! Both of the sides were delightful and easily shared between both of us. For dessert, we did try their homemade baklava. Well, when I tried it I knew it was unlike any baklava I've ever eaten. I knew it had to be made in-house and was a special recipe created in-shop. I was right on both counts! It was the best I've ever eaten. If you love baklava, you won't be disappointed here! Fast Eddy's is truly a superior restaurant and is now in my top five list of JAX favorites! There is good booth seating here and carry-out is available. Besides sandwiches, you'll also find soups, stews, salad options, street tacos, new world American food options, specialty choices (including spicy chicken curry, Nada's Arabic Macaroni, among others), kabobs, and more! Walked in and felt like I was in a speedway Cafe. Smells were good coming from the kitchen. Sat down and noticed they had daily special, looked like a new dish or chef crafted ideas they come up with. Probably something they do on a regular basis. We came by for a late Saturday lunch. The cute little restaurant is decorated with Metallica, Pearl Jam, and other metal rock posters. The music matches the posters. While not real loud it is definitely in the background. We explained to our server William that it was our first time there and he patiently explained the menu to us. He was friendly and efficient our entire visit. We started with the tabouli. It was a parsley forward tabouli with light burgle (wheat), onion, and tomatoes in a light lemon dressing. My husband had the Bamiyah. It was a thick beef and okra stew served with rice. He thought it was very thick with a strong tomato flavor. It was loaded with okra and onion with a few nice chunks of beef. I had the Big Chicken Eddy. It was a grilled chicken wrap with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. A few of us decided to head out for lunch today. The group decided on Fast Eddy's. Let me say that mideast food is not my jam, but I rolled with it. The ladies in the party split the mixed grill Tikka plate with chicken and beef which looked amazing. They said it was outstanding. Very tender and flavorful. I stayed safe and had the star spangled burger and onion rings. The burger was cooked perfectly. Very juicy. The onion rings are very good with a panko type breading which stayed on the rings well. Another member of the party had the beef derby. I had a piece of this and it was extremely flavorful and very good. Sit down ordering with food and drinks brought to you. If someone made a pitch to open a Rock and Roll themed Middle Eastern restaurant you may think they were nuts. That's exactly why Fast Eddy's works. It's nuts...and in the best way. The restaurant is really themed well with CDs, posters and decor that just create a fun environment. Service was great. Fantastic experience all around. Great service from all the staff, including providing us with highlights of the menu since it was our first time here. Everyone was attentive and kind, from ordering to refilling our drinks, and paying our bill. The food was excellent, we started with hummus and pita chips. The chips were crispy, seasoned and the perfect size for dipping g in the hummus. We chose two entrees with the intention of split each so we could eat try and the owner was kind enough to make sure the eggplant burger was cut in half to make that easier for us. The Big Eddy was perfect with the tzatziki and garlic sauce that was recommended. The Nada burger had the perfect amount of spice and the pickles complemented it nicely. It had a laidback vibe but we enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor from the guitars to the music posters. But, the food was the highlight. Everything came out fresh and made to order. First time trying Fast Eddy's Quick Mideast and WOW -- everything was 10/10! I ordered the Beef Tikka for $20, which came with rice, veggies, a small fattoush salad, and two sauces. I chose tzatziki and garlic, and that garlic sauce was out of this world -- I'd absolutely get double next time! The food was phenomenal, even as takeout, and there was plenty to share. One order was enough to fill both me and my husband, making it such a great value. I love rock music. I love middle eastern foods. I really, really love Fast Eddy's. I've been here a few times now and should go more because every time, I think, "Dang, that's delicious." Most recently, I stopped in for a falafel sandwich with onion rings. Their falafel, which they've told me is a recipe by their late sister, is top notch, and I say that as someone who's eaten a lot of it. It's crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. They also do a great job on the onion rings; they're crisp, not soggy, and you can bite into the onion without the whole slice sliding out. Despite being full, I got the delicious baklava for dessert. In the past, I've loved their hummus, their tabouli, and their white bean fahsulia. They have plenty of vegetarian options, which is great. They also have some "New World" dishes if you're not a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, although I'd really suggest trying some of their classic dishes, because they do it really well. The service is out of this world. Many of the folks are greeted by name -- and frequently with hugs -- as they come in, showing how much of a loyal following Fast Eddy's has. Regardless of how often you're in, you definitely get the vibe that everyone wants you to have a great meal. All the workers were super nice and explained all of the different options and upgrades on the menu and recommendations, what pairs well with each other, etc. You can absolutely feel the passion in the food that they create! I got the beef Tikka skewer and upgraded the white rice to the biryani and it was amazing. Well seasoned and the flavors were perfect. The beef wasn't tough and had a nice char. I also tried the chips and hummus and the Booreg egg rolls and the flavors and textures on both were great. Crunchy and delicious! I will start by saying that this review is based on a To Go order and I'd like to try this again as I've only heard great things about this restaurant. Ordered a Steak Derby Filly via online order and it was ready in about fifteen minutes. I did order and pay for a side of ranch and it wasn't included and didn't see until I got home. The fries had good seasoning but they didn't taste the freshest but this may have been from being in a to go order. The filly itself was promising, however, many of the pieces of steak I had were rather tough cuts and were covered in a sauce that was seasoned, but somehow the meat itself didn't feel seasoned which was quite confusing. Considering this is a $17 sandwich (not including the .50 for ranch that I didn't get), it was a bit disappointing considering all of the great things I've heard. The service was quick and the restaurant itself had a good atmosphere for my short stint in there. Overall, I would try again but will definitely try something else and I will double check my order in the future. read more

We found Fast Eddy's while searching for a place to stop on our drive from Lake Mary to New York. We decided to try it based on the 5 stars on Yelp. We were NOT disappointed. We were greeted immediately and every person we encountered was so friendly and chill. The ambiance is fun - walls are covered with rock and metal posters and they play rock music which we loved! As someone who grew up in the 90's, I definitely felt nostalgic while singing along to some STP :-) I cannot say enough good things about the food. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff hustled to make it a great experience. They accommodated for 10 to celebrate my Daughter's birthday. Rearranged tables/booths. With a free desert for her. Great baklava. They had dishes for everyone. Even though the kitchen is "right there" they worked quietly and kept a talkative atmosphere. Easy parking got one of the 3 HCP spaces for 92 year old in-laws. We tried Fast Eddy's off of Baymeadows a few months after they opened - I can't believe I haven't reviewed yet. They are in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. The place was very clean and the owner greeted us immediately. When I'm indecisive, I always like to ask what the server is having for lunch. Because the owner was our server, we got a full run down and he shared his favorites. We got the booreg chicken curry egg rolls. The outer shell was a little thicker than a wonton and had max crunch - the inside was awesome. The foodie in me was only wishing was that they were bigger. They were served with the traditional garlic sauce and mango sauce (called amba and was new for me) which was interesting tangly but balanced nicely with sweet flavors. I got the chicken curry and it was super filling and felt like home. The spices brought a comfortable warmth that I couldnt get enough of. My husband had the Big Beef Eddy and will probably never get anything else when we come here. He grew up in the Middle East and the flavors were spot on, the bread was soft but firm and held the juices in nicely. The place was started by two brothers. We asked and found out they've only been open about four months but this experience felt like they've been open for years! They knew customers names. Fast Eddy's had amazing food and service! I won a gift card on IG and invited a friend to join me for lunch. We ordered so much food. Which was great because we had leftovers to take home;) We started with tabbouleh and fattoush. Both dishes were so fresh and delicious! Loved the tomato topper on the tabbouleh. And the fattoush was one of the best salads I've ever tried. Next, we had the falafel with tahini. Honestly, falafel has never been a favorite of mine. But I was digging Fast Eddy's! And you must try it with the tahini sauce! Then we had my favorite dish, beef kabob with whipped garlic spread and veggies. The beef was so tender and packed with flavor. My coworker raved about this place and we all needed to go here for lunch, so we did. From the outside it doesn't look like much but inside, you immediately felt like family. Servers greeted you coming in and they were able to accommodate our group of 5 in the back near the register. He started with me but I wasn't ready so I asked him to go the other way around the table. I found this place on a Facebook group; the owner posted concern with the storm and the impact a potential loss of power could cause to his business; one thing led to another and I caught myself going through the menu thinking "I've got to check this place out" We tried the big chicken on fries, the curry and the booreg egg rolls. Finally the stars aligned and I was able to dip into Fast Eddy's for lunch. It was mid afternoon so finding a seat was easy. Ahhh a bar yes please the heart of the restaurant. My favorite place always. I was quickly greeted by Wilem ( name on receipt). He was fun and personable and grabbed my beverage. I have been stalking Fast Eddy's for a minute. Always thinking when I go there what I want and my mind changed with every post and every picture! After talking with Wilem and professing my love of Eggplant. I decided on the Nada Burger -fried with a side of Tabouli. The Tabouli arrived with a beautiful sprinkling of diced tomatoes on top. The flavor was amazing and so yummy. The kitchen area was busy and I enjoyed watching all the prep for evening dinner. Magically the "Nada Burger" was delivered. The bread was soft and held a generous slice of yummy perfectly fried eggplant. Within the sandwich was feta cheese,sumac onions, tomatoes and Babylonian Sauce. That sauce was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious "Nada Burger". Honestly, I never finish a meal and often leave with plastic and styrofoam. Today was a different day!
