Steak + Harissa

Only annoying thing about this place is there no location at the beaches! Casual vibe. Moe's like ordering at the counter. Quick service. No line at 12 on a Sunday. Bowls have generous portions. Rec for a healthy alternative! Would frequent this place if I had a closer location.

For lunch, my local coworker suggested CAVA which I had been meaning to try in Arizona where I am from. We came for lunch and I was surprised how busy it was; definitely a testament to the food quality and quickness of the service. I enjoyed the lunch, though I will say it is very loud in there so I wouldn't dine in due to lack of ambiance from the loudness. Pro tip: order and pay via the mobile app to skip the line! Enjoy at your office or the comfort of your home (or hotel in my case).

Located in a really convenient spot amongst others in a shopping center, it's so nice to be able to just grab something quick and casual. The food is delicious, I always love making my own bowls at Cava, but they don't skimp out on any ingredients. I love the Mediterranean flavors and the workers are pretty friendly.

Came here with my friend for a quick and easy dinner after our workout class. It was quick and the space is clean. The workers were friendly too. For some reason though, whenever I get Cava it's always a little salty for me.

Harissa Avocado bowl with honey chicken

I went here for the first time. I had the harissa avocado bowl with honey chicken let me tell you it is pretty spicy. Lotta good flavor though but if you don't like hot, you might not like it. I liked it, but it was a bit hot. my husband did not care for spice They definitely have to be related to chipotle it's the exact same set up. They need to clean their bathrooms better because when I see that the bathrooms aren't being cleaned it tells me that they're not really that up on clean. I took this picture real quick before I walked out of the bathroom.

My fav lunch spot! Always fresh and delicious with tons of vegetarian options. $12 for a bowl seems reasonable. Even if there's a big line it always goes quick. Clean. Parking is a tight spot in town center, no drive thru like the mandarin location.

Decided to give this place a try as I've heard a lot of my friends and some coworkers were raving how amazing this place is so ofcourse I had to see what's the hype about. Entering the establishment it's like a chipotle but Mediterranean food instead. My partner and I had two different bowl She had the chicken and I had the steak. They were both pretty good but the amount of feta was just too much for me. I just wished they gave a bit more rice as all that was left in my bowl was just protein and the veggies. The service was decent not the best but could tolerate. The lady who started with the bowl seem a bit passive but it's whatever, and the second one to do the topping didn't even seem like she wanted to be there. But atleast the person who was cashing us out was pretty positive ! Overall it is a good place but the service just need to be improved.

My Grains bowl with black lentils
Maya C.

My coworkers finally convinced me to try this place out and I'm glad I did. I got delivered a Grains Bowl with black lentils, 1/2 braised lamb 1/2 spicy lamb meatballs, crazy feta (feta with jalapenos), tzatziki, red pepper hummus, fire roasted corn, tomato + cucumber, kalamata olives, lemon herb tahini, and free side pita. I checked out their drinks and I saw that they an old favorite of mine, Cucumber Mint Lime drink. Between that and the Blueberry Lavender drink I went with the CML. Of course I got it delivered. Omg, the bowl was delicious! Judging just by initial looks it doesn't seem like it's a lot of food but by the time you're done you're full. The work squad raved about the lamb meatballs and they were good, but I think they were just as good as the braised lamb. Either choice was a good one. All the other items tasted great. The drink would have been better if there was ice in it. I'm not sure if the ice melted by the time it got to me or if there was no ice at all. That aside flavor-wise it could have used more lime to me. I see why they like it so much.

Cava has been my go to for a healthy and quick lunch. Ingredients are fresh and I feel like there's not a lot of places where I can get as much healthy food as I do in my bowl for the price. Decided on build your own bowl today and spicy lamb pita. The pita is always fresh and soft. Had a mix of super greens and black lentils for my bowl base, added eggplant and hummus (harissa and traditional) , grilled chicken, and about 5 toppings. Love that the toppings are unlimited. Everything we had was filling. In the past I've ordered their signature bowls. One of my faves is the harissa avocado. If you like spicy, that's a good one to get. Highly recommend trying Cava out!

True Food Kitchen is an extremely well thought out and delicious dining experience…read more The restaurant is beautiful outside and inside. It's elegant but simple inside. Great use of earth tone of green and brown along with wood floors and walls. There is every type of seating booths, tables both small and large. You can see into the kitchen and drink station and it's done in a way that just adds to the decor. We were seated immediately with our reservation and waited on with water soon after. There is no soda served here, just their own drink blends along with alcohol drinks. We had water and decided to try their drinks another time. Everything is fresh, locally sourced and delicious. I had the jambalaya pasta and it was really good. Slightly spicy, the shrimp and chicken cooked to perfection and the "holy trinity " hit just right. My wife ordered the farmer's scramble off of the brunch menu and it was amazing as well. The true star of our meal may have been the sweet potato chips. Just the perfect crunch, the exact right amount of salty and sweet...fantastic. The fries were solid, the sauce was unique, tangy and a great accompaniment. Our lemon blueberry muffin was just a bit dry. Average in a meal that was otherwise stellar. Because they use such fresh ingredients and cook it in ways that are a bit more healthy, I left feeling full but not overly stuffed or bad. If you haven't tried True Food Kitchen, I highly suggest you do. There's something for everyone and everything is done well.

We came here because we were shopping at Saint Johns Town Center…read more They had all the doors / windows open so inside was the same temperature as outside. If you're walking around outside doing shopping and you want to come inside the cool off, this is not the place to go. The food was good. It wasn't the best I've ever had and it wasn't the worst. My husband got a buffalo chicken sandwich that was 3 stars. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to rave about. I'm not sure what these sides were that came with it, but I do know that french fries weren't up charge and they were extremely bland lacked salt and were cold. I got a salad because it said that it had carrots and cauliflower and I added chicken but honestly, it was mostly spring mix. The other salads said that it was Green and Spring mix. This one did not so I was hoping for it to be more vegetables and not so much spring mix. If there was two florettes of cauliflower cut up in there that was a lot . The service was definitely five star. We sat at the bar and there were two people work in the bar and they were both very attentive and one of them made up extra of a green kale drink and gave us a little sample, which was quite fabulous Honestly, moving forward whether to go in here or not would depends on whether all of the doors were open going to the outside. The dumplings with the edamame were really good, but that's also more about the liquid broth that's in it. You can't just eat the dumplings so I think each item has its own quirk. I have no idea why on a hot day they would have all those doors open and not have the AC running for the people inside that wanted to be cool. Maybe they did have the AC running but with the doors open, it would be pointless.

Love Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food and Fast Eddy's popped up on Yelp and was just around the corner. Restaurant has just a few tables as well as a counter area. So very glad we found this restaurant! William is the owner and his son Will waited on us - both so friendly, helpful and personable! The menu is awesome - a great selection of appetizers, salads, soups/stews, sandwiches and main dishes - many Middle Eastern choices and a few American bites as well. My favorite thing was that dishes and menu sections are named after various family members - William's mom, dad and siblings. We started with the hummus and pita chip appetizer - so yummy! Hubs and I eat hummus everywhere we go, and this rivaled some of the best! Amazing flavor, creamy with just the right amount of olive oil, garlic and paprika. I had the falafel wrap with a side salad - really good! Hugs had the fattoush salad followed by chicken tikka kebab with grilled mixed veggies - he loved it and shared a few tastes with me - delicious! The veggies and meat were seasoned with the family's own spice mix and it's amazing! We can't wait to come back soon!

Far and away the best sandwich experience I've had in years! I can't even remember when the last…read moretime I've had a sandwich in a restaurant this good! All I can say is, when you go to Fast Eddy's Quick Mideast, get the Derby Fillies sandwich! And I hereby order my readers to GO!! There are good reasons why this awesome Mediterranean cuisine outlet is as close to 5-star as you can get! First, I really like the uniqueness of this ma and pa shop. It's been here at this location now for around four years and seems to have built a nice clientele, but always welcoming of more! The wall decor is filled with pictures of Rock n Roll heroes past and present. And, yes, you will get to have your ears filled with the songs of many of these artists while you eat. I sat at the Ozzy and Randy Rhodes table and I can't say how I feel about that company! The servers were extremely courteous. Reza and Victoria were just outstanding from beginning to the end of our eating experience. I'm very grateful for their looking after us and answering our questions. Looking around at how they treated and dealt with other customers, my feeling is that this is how they treat customers consistently who visit Fast Eddy's. Both of us chose Reza's recommendations. My Derby Fillies might seems like a normal sandwich (sub type) with chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, American cheese on a hoagie roll. However, the way it's grilled in their "Babylonian sauce," really seals the deal on this sandwich. The sauce really blends well with this hot sandwich and you'll be thrilled you chose it! Even better yet, it is a large sandwich, so I had the other half on the next day - just as good as the first! My dearest ordered the Hammurabi burrito. This was another stellar choice as recommended by Reza once again. This sandwich is one of creativity, more than basic like the Derby. It comes on a flour tortilla with pickles, sumac onions, biryani rice, French fries, Amba sauce, chicken, along with garlic spread. Goodness I don't know a few of the items on this burrito! But it also blended excellently together and the pickles made it a treat! I got to eat from it two days in a row and it was just as good as the first day on the second! For sides, I had Mac and cheese. Yes, it was a solid Mac and cheese with some pepper in it. Our other side was the roasted vegetables. These are awesome! Both of the sides were delightful and easily shared between both of us. For dessert, we did try their homemade baklava. Well, when I tried it I knew it was unlike any baklava I've ever eaten. I knew it had to be made in-house and was a special recipe created in-shop. I was right on both counts! It was the best I've ever eaten. If you love baklava, you won't be disappointed here! Fast Eddy's is truly a superior restaurant and is now in my top five list of JAX favorites! There is good booth seating here and carry-out is available. Besides sandwiches, you'll also find soups, stews, salad options, street tacos, new world American food options, specialty choices (including spicy chicken curry, Nada's Arabic Macaroni, among others), kabobs, and more! The hard rock will play as you eat. It was loud when we came in for a while, but to their credit, they did lower the volume around the middle of our time there. Make a visit! This is a can't miss restaurant! Recommend: HIGHEST

The food and service were impeccable!!! Having tried both places, that enabled me to try several different dishes. My recommendations for appetizers, The fried green tomatoes, and the deviled eggs (it will be a surprise as to which one you get, they change.) we had the scallion and barbecue. The goat cheese fondue was delicious as well. I've had the steak salad for dinner as well as the Reuben. Whatever you get, you're gonna be eating well and leaving happy! As for ambiance, it's busy and fun. Which makes it loud. Not a great place for a "romantic evening" but more for a fun, laughter filled night.

Salad was forgotten then ran out after asking more than once. 3 Chicken melts and one my strip steak took over an hour for a restaurant that was not busy. When the food came out, only two of the four meals came out. The other two meals were delayed by more than 10 min. when they came out one of the chicken melts was wrong and the Mac and cheese (which was an up charge) was cold. The steak was brought out without a steak knife, and we had to get up to ask for one. Not to mention the waitress never checked on us. Our order consisted of: 2 Raspberry Bourbon Mules one Old forester old fashioned bottle of beer Starter was an order of deviled eggs (which were ok). For dinner 3 chicken melts and one NY Strip. On a positive note the manager came out twice to check in on us, but I promise I wont be back. No photos taken (which is a first for me) but honestly it wasn't worth my time as we obviously were not worth Whiskey Cakes Time. Update at the end the manager did come by and took items off our bill. He was very apologetic.
