We sampled a variety of dishes: *Crispy and delicious Falafel Patties made from ground Garbanzo beans and a blend of fresh herbs, complemented by a tahini sauce. *Chicken Shawarma featuring seasoned grilled chicken breast over seasoned basmati rice and a refreshing Mediterranean salad. I was excited to try this place. I love Mediterranean food! I opted for the Vegetarian plate. Which had Hummus, falafel, Tabouleh salad, spinach pie, 3 veg grape leaves and pita bread. Feta fries and Bavala (didn't care for either of these) Service was good. Lets just say, the only think I liked on the plate was the Hummus and Falafel. Ordering is easy, their prices are rising with our country's inflation rate, so I had to skip out on appetizers and drinks. I will say, the dining space and restroom definitely need some TLC. Straightening of art on the walls, removal of old event invitations and some elbow grease in all the places of grout and rust in the establishment. I will say it is not filthy enough to deter the typical foodie, but it is most likely something that impacts the decision of folks to come here a second time. The kitchen itself looks very clean from the register, but the rest of the restaurant could use some work. All in all, this place is good, but there are things outside of its recipes that need attention. I believe a good deep cleaning will elevate this 'good' restaurant to one that is excellent. Also!! Wanted to find a quick bite to eat before an event and happened to come across this place tucked away in a plaza. With stellar reviews decorating the walls of the place, I had some high expectations. Ordered the beef shwarma platter, which was $13.99 at the time of this review. From order to hand and during a quite busy Saturday evening, I think I got my food in 15-20 minutes. Not too bad! For the price point, you get a substantial serving of protein, rice, and a small meditteranean salad. I also bought a side of pita bread as that was not included in the platter. Food was flavorful and I even had some leftovers for later. Having lived near Dearborn Michigan for most of my life, Ive been very spoiled with excellent mediterranean food. So much so that I didn't want to try any in Jacksonville over the past year. I broke down and tried Tabouleh yesterday. I'm glad I did overall. It was one of those experiences where it wasn't exactly like what I'm used to, but close enough. I love Middle East food, and this place literally ruined all the regular places I normally go to eat Lebanese food. That's how good the food was. Apparently this is a not so hidden gem! There were awards and signs on the wall from Trip Advisor and Yelp, which had me wondering why I have never been here or even heard about it. Best kept secret for sure. Went on a weekday and there was a nice steady stream of customers and delivery drivers, and I totally understand why. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I'm eating less meat these days so it was so nice to have all the vegetarian options available. The falafel was so delish, it reminded me of the first falafel I ever tried -- crunchy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. And the contrast of the fluffy but thin pita and vegetables. A friend of mine recommended trying this place so got the vegetarian kibbeh to go. The place os kind of a hole in the wall so you might just miss it. I've never had kibbeh before and was worried it would be too spicy (I like flavor but not to where I can't taste anymore) this was a perfect balance. Loved the accompany sauce too. Chicken Schwarma - This was my wife's dish and she was talking about it for several days. I would say that qualifies as a hit. Vegetarian Sampler - same as the Mediterranean sample, but vegetarian. This was my FAVORITE. Chicken Schwarma Platter - same as the sandwich, just without the wrap. Tahini Sauce - this came with each dinner and it was AMAZING, so order a bucket load to go with your dinner and send me a thank you. I have eaten in and done take out and both were consistently good. We just finished a walk at Reddi Point, ready for lunch and this place was recommended by one of the ladies. Delicious Mediterranean food! Everyone loved their meals, they give large portions for a reasonable price. I got the grape leaf wrap for around $7. The small restaurant is wedged in a corner of the plaza but easily seen and has plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked menu questions. It also has outdoor seating. A long time ago someone recommended I go here, I made a mental note but it's across town from my house so it took me a long time to visit, but my sister lives close so when we're at her house we have gotten take out from here a few times. I feel like Mediterranean food varies by region ( Lebanese, Turkish, Greek) all similar but with their own spin on dishes, it has quickly become one of my favorite foods! Its the combination of salty fire roasted meats with fresh veggies/ salads that has me drooling!! Tabouleh does it right, it's all just sooooo delicious! Food so good you'll go two days in a row. Seriously. I literally ate here yesterday. This is the kind of food that just makes you feel good when you eat it. I've had the chicken gyro and the chicken shawarma (grilled chicken over yellow rice). Both were ridiculously tasty with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend getting an extra cup of tahini sauce for the shawarma. The gyro normally comes with French fries, which are delicious, but I got it with the cucumber and tomato salad instead. The addas soup isn't the prettiest soup ever, but it is GOOD. It's comforting and hearty - like a food hug. The other thing that will keep me coming back is the prices here. This place is *very* affordable. I was shocked at our total. I know it can't be easy to keep those prices that low, but I'm very grateful that they do! Give this place a shot. The food was very tasty. I was on the hunt for Mediterranean food. My mom suggested Tabouleh. She ordered the mujaddarra, and I had the lamb shawarma pita wrap. The mujaddarra looked delicious. The caramelized onions smelled wonderful making me wish I had ordered that too. This was my mom's 2nd visit and time ordering the mujaddarra. Both times were delicious. I agree. My lamb shawarma was also delicious. A little lighter but satisfied my cravings for Mediterranean food. Service was good, and not too busy during our Wednesday evening (5:30).
