What an amazing place to have food. The food is always fresh, consistent, serve, served warm. The meat is high-quality. I enjoy their beef sandwich, which is just lovely. The owners are just amazing, and the whole experience is geared towards having a wonderful meal read more

That makes the distinction clearer. The restaurant looks good, but the food felt like a polished, scaled back version of Mediterranean cuisine rather than the authentic experience you expected. Cedar and Olive was a bit of a disappointment for me. The restaurant itself is very nice, with a clean, modern setup and an inviting atmosphere. I ordered the shish tawook and fattoush. Both tasted good, so the issue wasn't necessarily the quality of the food. It was the portions, pricing, and overall experience. For me, it felt like the gentrified version of Mediterranean food. Everything looked polished and was presented nicely, but some of the generosity and authenticity I associate with a great Mediterranean restaurant seemed to be missing. Mediterranean food is usually the type of meal where you leave full and satisfied. Here, I left wondering where the rest of my plate was. The shish tawook and fattoush were good, but for the price, the meal simply wasn't fulfilling enough. Customer Service was good, not stood out either good or bad. Nice restaurant, good food, and attractive presentation. But if I'm craving an authentic Mediterranean experience with generous portions and strong value, this probably wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Love the food! The Hummus and Baba Ghanoush is as authentic as food in Lebanon. The Kababs are delicious! Good quantity and quality. Love the service from the kitchen. A tad expensive but what isn't nowadays? It has a few tables, so not big on ambience but pretty laid back if you want to eat in. I encourage you to try Cedar and Olive (I love the name too). read more

I give this restaurant a five Star because of the customer service. This is an order at the counter type of place and kind of small, but the food is made to order and it was so fresh. I failed to take a picture. I had Kafta Kabob Sandwich with hummus spread, pickles, and biwaz served with French fries. Kafta kabob is a delicious Middle Eastern dish made with ground meat, fresh herbs, and warm spices. Worth a stop for lunch or dinner. read more

It was really good! Sweet guy explained their menu and made suggestions. Everything was fresh and made there daily. I wanted it all so I tried the fattoush salad with the homemade dressing on the side, the hummus (which is in my top 3 best for sure), the falafel.. very good and the lentil soup! Salty, yummy goodness in a bowl and he shared the recipe with me! The only improvement I would make would be a brighter paint job including the HVAC duck work. They have the beautiful lighting but I would add some color. Service and food a 10 for sure! read more

If I had to base this experience just on the service and staff....they'd have a 5 star or higher! The location is convenient, not far from the beach...in a strip plaza. The place has some seats inside, it is more like a take out experience, but we were there to also check out the holiday lights at the beach so it was a sit-in experience for us. We ordered an app, the falafel and little fixins, which were good, but a bit overdone. The salad was great. And both items were shared. We each also had an entree, I think we both had the fish! It was cooked properly but had a little too much char in the flavor. I would order it again...but hopefully it wouldn't be quite as "charred". Otherwise, super friendly service! And they want you to be HAPPY! read more

5 STARS ALL THE WAY... The food here is delicious. Once you walk inside, the deliciousness aroma greets your nostrils, to the point you would want to order the whole menu. Aroma ambience. The wife and I came here for lunch. First off looking at the menu, the food is pricey but do not allow that to deter you. As the old adage goes, "you get what you paid for" and trust me your taste buds will thank you. We ordered the Tawook Platter and Kafta Kabob Platter. I enjoyed every last bite. The food was made fresh. Tasted fresh. Their Toum (garlic sauce) is enough for me to want to come back. It was so good. From what I was told, the Toum is made fresh in-house. Service wise, we had to wait a little longer for the food as they were made fresh to order but trust me it was worth the wait. We even got greeted by I believe was the owner, who was very nice and thanked us for coming. If I get a tax refund next year, I'll definitely come here again. Yum yums read more

This was my first time here and it won't be my last. The food here is delicious and fresh. The Fattoush salad is one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the Tawook Platter and it was plentiful. The Toum (garlic sauce) was excellent and paired well with the chicken. I couldn't get enough of the sauce, it was heavenly! Although the place is small, there is plenty of seating and it's very clean. For great service and flavorful Lebanese food, be sure to check this place out! read more

Walk in and you were greeted right away - grab a menu order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Not a ton of dining space inside - but more than enough! The food? Oh my heavenly stars the best I've had in at least 20 years if not longer the falafel? Fresh fresh fresh fresh fresh the flavor to die for. It also came with fries or a small side salad - the fries are not gluten-free The individual who took our order maybe he's the owner? I don't know, but what a very very pleasant individual - understood that I needed gluten-free and made sure everything was perfect. Great price, large portions, amazing flavor, and service. What more could you ask for? Nothing !! read more

Recent take out and food was delicious. Fresh and amazing. Will continue to order and go here. Close to home and neighborhood gem for sure.

Easy and free plaza parking. The restaurant is small with limited seating but takeaway option is possible. I was impressed with the "grandmother " rolling stuffed grape leaves within view and maybe it's was the visual of that activity versus the seasoning but I highly recommend trying that appetizer as it seemed to be better than the average in Jax. We havd a grilled chicken entree and chicken gyro. The dessert of the day was also fantastic with the cream center having the taste of rose water sandwiched between 2 baklava type cakes. Excellent option for a quick but tasty lunch or dinner on the go . You basically order first and the servers quickly bring your orders to the table. I recommend! read more

Just what Jax Beach needed! A yummy fast casual Mediterranean vibe with yummy food. Wednesday night at 7 was packed! But luckily they had a couple seats at their window area. Food came out in stages. My husbands wrap took a little while but they kept us up to date and gave us a free dessert to compensate. He said the wrap was to die for and had his happy dance going as he ate. The chicken dish was super delish! The babgaboush app was so yummy! Canned drinks available. I asked for tap water and they gave me a free water bottle instead. Def rec checking out! read more

I really enjoyed this place. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I will certainly be back.

Wow!! What a great new addition to Jax beach. Everything (except for the fries) are homemade. The tabbouleh, made to order, is the best I've ever had. The baklava, made like little cigars, are easy to pick up and filled with delicious pistachios and honey. The falafel was light and flavorful. The pickled radish is a perfect addition to the sandwich. The owners are super friendly and ready with great suggestions. I highly recommend Cedar & Olive! I can't wait to return. read more

This was my 2nd visit to Cedar & Olive and will not be my last! The restaurant is bright, airy and clean. The owner was very friendly and asked for any suggestions or recommendations. Service was great too. I had the Shish kabob bowl with rice and veggies. I also ordered chicken as I didn't know the kabob comes with steak. Both meats had nice spices and were grilled perfectly! The homemade hummus was delicious and the pita bread was authentic! My son had the Tawook bowl with chicken and rice. He said it was delicious. My son also had a Yerba Mate which is an herbal drink with caffeine. He went with the blueberry flavor found the taste very good. This place has delicious homemade authentic middle eastern food! Forgot to get pictures. read more

What a great dining experience from the moment you walk in to the time you finish. Clean soft area decor with a very nice menu that explains the food for those not familiar with Lebanese food. Service was friendly and is only surpassed by the freshness of the dishes. The flavors pop with middle eastern flavors. The Tawook was juicy, flavorful and tender and was accompanied by a creamy garlic sauce that compliments the flavor of the chicken along with a serving of Pita bread that was thin and appeared home made. Not the thick kind I have experienced elsewhere. The star of the show was the Lentil soup, which was thick and rich also with actual bits of lentils. Must return to explore this great Lebanese gem read more

What a lovely surprise in an unassuming shopping center off the main drag. The staff and service was warm and friendly, there was smooth jazz playing in the background (took me back to my New York days), clean modern decor and lastly the food was delicious! read more

I had tried to check this place out a couple of weeks ago, but the AC wasn't very strong and we were hot and chose somewhere else. Now that it has cooled down outside, I decided to give it another shot dining in. I had the Shish Kabob platter and Olga had the Tawook platter. The servings are large, but probably not enough to share, and the food was tasty. This was a great spot for quick, casual dinner. read more

Great flavor, great service. So happy to have this place in the area! There's a lot of Mediterranean style places on the beach side of town, but this is one of the better ones I've been to! I just wish there were a few more options/ways to modify. But it's still new, so hopefully the menu will grow a little! read more

My family and I had dinner tonight at Cedar and Olive Mediterranean in Jacksonville and it was absolutely incredible. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding. The lentil soup was rich and comforting, and the falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. For our mains we had the steak, chicken, and beef kafta, and all three were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. You can truly taste the freshness and quality in everything they serve. It's rare to find a place where every dish at the table is this good. If you're in Jacksonville, you absolutely have to try this place. One of the best Mediterranean meals we've had and we'll definitely be back! read more

Was looking for a new go to Greek/The food is absolutely spectacular, they certainly do not skimp on portions either. 12/10

The food and service were great. Small restaurant trying for an upscale vibe. Pricing was up there and food was good but could go to another mediterranean restaurant and get same quality and more quantity food for cheaper. read more

We were visiting from Buffalo, NY and our friends brought us here for dinner. What a great choice! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of the food was incredible. The menu had so many great options. I chose the kabobs with tabbouleh, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was so flavorful. The hummus, the dip, the crepes. Our food came out quickly, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were even treated to vegetarian rolls, a smoothie sample, and an amazing dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would happily return on my next visit! read more

This was my second time eating at Cedar & Olive and just like the first time, the food did not disappoint! I went with a friend for lunch and shared the Med Sampler app. It was more than enough food for both of us. We were able to swap out one of the salads that my friend doesn't care for and had the kibbie balls instead. The owner stopped by our table to greet us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I Highly recommend Cedar & Olive!! read more

Everything went well. Food was awesome. The people that worker did all the small things right. Gave my name when I ordered. We think just to let us know when our food was ready. Nope when they checked in to ask us how the food was she used my name when asking how the food tasted. Also letting us try as dip bc they knew it was our first time there. 10000% will be back read more

Eli, the owner, greeted us at once and offered assistance with our order. We chose a sampler which included falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus and so much more. Eli also treated us to a rice bowl and fantastic lentil soup samples. The food was off the charts and Eli extended gracious hospitality! The World Cup is on the tv....y'all come!!! read more

Food was great. Got the grilled chicken, which usually I am afraid to get in case it's bland. Not here. The chicken was super hot and fresh off the grill. Juicy and flavorful. It came with a garlic sauce, which seemed similar to Toum. Not too garlicky. The Fattoush salad was really good and a lot of food and flavors. We also tried the baba ghanouj, and it was delicious! They seem pretty new, so they're still working out some kinks. One suggestion would be to put out a free water dispenser so people can have free tap water. (1928 Cuban bistro has a good setup to check out if anyone who works there reads this.) They did have drinks for purchase in a cooler and gave us a bottle of water for free when we asked for water. But I'm not sure how sustainable this would be for them to continue doing. Any hiccups or bumps were easy to overlook because the people working there are so nice and friendly. They gave us free pita refills. Always came by to make sure our food was out and to our liking. Someone was stuffing the grape leaves by hand. The cook told us he makes the garlic spread every morning. It seems like a family operation, and they showed us so much hospitality, I had to rush to write a review when I got home. I think they bring something different and needed to the area. We will definitely be back! read more

Excellent service and kind people. The place feels homey. Good place to grab a quick casual lunch with a coworker or friend.

I literally never do this. But I ordered a carry out lunch for a work linch I hosted today. The order was ready on time and packed nicely which is always great. But above that, the food was excellent!! I had a kabob pita with hummus and a side of tabbouleh. The steak was awesome so tender and high quality. The tabbouleh delicious and crunchy fresh and the hummus creamy and flavorful. It's a little pricey but I got two full meals out of my entree. The smoothies are super good too!!! The staff/probably ownership were super friendly. It's casual but light, bright and clean. Very cute. I wish I lived closer I would go all the time!!! read more

I ordered the Shish Kebab and the meal tasted good, the meat was tender, the portions were way too small for $35. I think there was around 4 oz of meat and I left still feeling pretty hungry. My friend felt the same way about his meal. The inside is quaint and the staff is friendly. I just can't justify spending $35 for a few pieces of meat when there are other Mediterranean places just as good with double the portions for less money. read more

My wife and I drove all the way from World Golf Village just to try Cedar & Olive and I can tell you that it did not disappoint! Not only was the food absolutely incredible, but so was the ambience and the hospitality. I got the shish kabob platter with an extra skewer of shish tawook (chicken) and my wife got the shish tawook platter. We both got a small fattoush salad along with garlic Toum and hummus. The staff was so friendly and what I love about this place is the food is not only freshly made and truly a scratch kitchen, but also so healthy.
